Abstract

The Jermaine’s light up cup is the only product of its kind that gives the illusion of a lava lamp, through a clear drinking cup, as the user quenches thirst. This unprecedented product is uniquely designed with an advanced multi-color lighting technology and durable materials to ensure long term sustainability.

Description

BACKGROUND

Whether an individual is sipping a soft drink, cocktail, juice, or even water, a unique drinking glass can make the experience more exciting. Furthermore, when gathering and/or planning for a party or special occasion social event, there’s an opportunity to decorate and create themes with drink-wares as well that often goes unexplored due to limited options. There have been no products available as original equipment or as an aftermarket to address this problem.
An apparatus for fun specialized drink-ware to give a unique drinking experience is not being met by any known device or system at present. There have been no products available as original equipment or as an aftermarket to address this problem either.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main purpose of luminescent drinking cup is to provide users with an illuminated lava lamp type drinking cup. The disclosure includes a translucent drinking cup comprising drinking edge and a bottom, a base disposed adjacent the bottom of the drinking cup and comprising a light therein, a switched power source for the light, and a plurality of random lines configured in the translucent drinking cup and configured to reflect the light from a wall thereof.

The present disclosed luminescent drinking cup, also known as “Jermaine’s Light Up Cup″ offers a modem accessory that enhances the drinking experience with a unique drinking glass that adds a fun and appealing glow to any special event. Expanding on the initial design of a clear cup. Jermaine’s light up cup introduces a novel cup possessing cutting-edge lighting features that illuminate once an individual drinks out of the cup. With advanced technology, once the user depresses the power button, the mechanical and battery compartment base will activate the random lights that are scattered on the cup to mimic a lava lamp effect. To further enhance functionality and design, the Jermaine’s light up cup can be customized with different phrases, logos, and themes to offer an expansion of diverse light-up possibilities, to gamer engagement. This innovative, top-quality product offers both a fully operational and aesthetically pleasing drinking cup that is sure to intrigue and capture the eye of all individuals.
Although the operations of the method(s) herein are shown and described in a particular order, the order of the operations of each method may be altered so that certain operations may be performed in an inverse order or so that certain operations may be performed, at least in part, concurrently with other operations. In another embodiment, instructions or sub-operations of distinct operations may be implemented in an intermittent and/or alternating manner.

Claims

What is claimed is:

1. A luminescent drinking cup comprising:

a translucent drinking cup comprising drinking edge and a bottom;

a base disposed adjacent the bottom of the drinking cup and comprising a light therein;

a switched power source for the light; and

a plurality of random lines configured in the translucent drinking cup and configured to reflect the light from a wall thereof.

2. The drinking cup of claim 1, wherein the base further comprises a reflective coating configured to reflect the light through the bottom of the translucent drinking cup.

3. The drinking cup of claim 1, further comprising a mechanical button on the base and configured as a mechanical switch for the switched power source.

4. The drinking cup of claim 1, further comprising a logo and a theme printed on an outside surface of the translucent drinking cup.

5. The drinking cup of claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of random lines is a water proof fissure in the translucent drinking cup configured to reflect the light.

6. The drinking cup of claim 1, further comprising a capacitive switch configured to activate the switched power source based on a human touch thereon.

7. The drinking cup of claim 1, further comprising a switch configured to activate the switched power source based on a human touch on an outside and on an inside of the translucent drinking cup.

8. The drinking cup of claim 1, wherein the switched power source is activated via a simultaneous human touch on an outside and on an inside surface thereof.

9. The drinking cup of claim 1, wherein the switched power source is activated via a human touch on the drinking edge.

10. The drinking cup of claim 1, wherein an activation of the switched power source comprises a flicker circuit configured to activate the light in a flicker.

11. The drinking cup of claim 1, wherein the base comprises the switched power source.

12. The drinking cup of claim 1, wherein the plurality of random lines are similar to a plurality of fissures in an ice surface.

13. The drinking cup of claim 1, wherein the plurality of random lines are similar to field lines from a static electricity on a surface of the translucent drinking cup.

14. The drinking cup of claim 1, wherein the translucent drinking cup comprises a clear material.

15. The drinking cup of claim 1, wherein the translucent drinking cup is semitransparent.
