FIG. 6 is a diagram of an example insulated canned beverage holder in accordance with some implementations. -
FIG. 1 is a diagram of an example insulated cannedbeverage holder 100 in accordance with some implementations. The insulated cannedbeverage holder 100 includes abody 102 configured to receive a cannedbeverage 106, the body portion having insulated walls and a threadedupper portion 120. Alid 104 includes a threadedlower portion 108 configured to engage the threadedupper portion 120 of thebody 102. Thelid 104 can also include one or more vent protrusions, 110 and 116, configured to puncture and vent the top of the beverage can 106 disposed in thebody 102 when thelid 104 is rotationally tightened onto thebody 102 via the corresponding threaded 108 and 120. Theportions lid 104 also includes a drinking opening 114 disposed to align with an opening in the beverage can when thelid 104 is in place on thebody 102. The interior of thebody 102 can be lined with rubber or other similar material to hold thecan 106 firmly in place when thelid 104 is being tightened down (i.e., twisted on). Thebody 102 can include a double walled body with a vacuum or other insulator in an interior space formed by the double wall construction. -
FIG. 2 is a diagram of the example insulated cannedbeverage holder 100 with thelid 104 in place on thebody 102. In this position, the vent protrusions, 110 and 116, puncture the top of thecan 106 to provide venting. The twisting action of placing the lid on the body causes the vent protrusions to Thelid 104 and 110 and 116 can be formed from stainless steel or other suitable material. In some implementations, thevent protrusions lid 104 can be formed from plastic and thevent protrusions 110/116 can be formed from stainless steel or other suitable material. -
FIG. 3 is a diagram showing a top view of anexample lid 104 of an insulated cannedbeverage holder 102 in accordance with some implementations. Thelid 104 can include a twist on/off lid. Thelid 104 includes 302 and 304 in communication withair vents vent protrusions 110/116. Thelid 104 also includes adrinking opening 310 positioned over the can opening 308 so that the beverage can flow from the can opening 308 through the drinking opening 310 to the user's mouth. Thedrinking opening 310 can include a slidable cover to close the drinking opening when the user is not drinking from the beverage holder. -
FIG. 4 is a diagram of anexample vent protrusion 110/116 having apiercing section 402, anair channel 404, and aprotrusion 406 to help push down the can top material as thevent protrusion 110/116 pierces the top of thecan 106 and advances into the top of thecan 106. When thelid 104 is in place on thebody 102, theair channel 404 causes the interior of thecan 106 to be in communication with the outside air to prevent a vacuum from building up in the can with the user drinks form the can. -
FIG. 5 is a diagram of anexample vent protrusion 110/116 in accordance with some implementations. In this implementation, thevent protrusion 110/116 includes apiercing section 502 and anair channel 504 that, when thelid 104 is in place on thebody 102, causes the interior of thecan 106 to be in communication with the outside air to prevent a vacuum from building up in the can with the user drinks from the can. -
FIG. 6 is a diagram of an example insulated cannedbeverage holder 600 in accordance with some implementations. The insulated cannedbeverage holder 600 includes parts similar to those described above forFIG. 1 . The difference for 600 is that the threadedupper portion 120 has threads on the outside and the threadedlower portion 108 of the lid has threads on the inside that are configured to engage the threadedupper portion 120 of thebody 102. - It is, therefore, apparent that there is provided, in accordance with the various implementations disclosed herein, an insulated canned beverage holder.
- While the disclosed subject matter has been described in conjunction with a number of implementations, it is evident that many alternatives, modifications and variations are possible. Accordingly, Applicant intends to embrace all such alternatives, modifications, equivalents and variations that are within the spirit and scope of the disclosed subject matter.
