- The disclosure relates to disinfecting devices and more particularly pertains to a new disinfecting device for cleaning and disinfecting a surface.
- The prior art relates to disinfecting devices. The prior art discloses a disposable mitten with has anti-bacterial properties. Additionally, the prior art discloses a glove that includes an absorbent portion being infused with a chemical anti bacterial. The prior art discloses a sleeve that is wearable on a user's hand that is infused with a chemical disinfectant. The prior art discloses an envelope for insertably receiving a user's hand which is infused with a chemical disinfectant. The envelope is one of a plurality of envelopes that are removably attached together and formed into a roll. Additionally, the prior art discloses a mitten being comprised of an absorbent material for cleaning feces from a user.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a glove that is wearable on a user's hand. In this way the glove can be wiped across a surface intended for cleaning. A chemical disinfectant is infused into the glove. The chemical disinfectant is released onto the surface intended for cleaning when the glove is wiped across the surface. In this way the surface is disinfected.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a bottom perspective view of a disinfecting glove assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a back view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a perspective in-use of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 4 thereof, a new disinfecting device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 4 , the disinfectingglove assembly 10 generally comprises aglove 12 that is wearable on a user's hand. In this way theglove 12 can be wiped across asurface 14 intended for cleaning. Thesurface 14 may be a table top, a sink, a mirror or anyother surface 14 that the user may wish to clean and disinfect. Theglove 12 has ahand portion 16, acuff 18, a plurality offingers 20 and athumb 22. Additionally, theglove 12 is comprised of a fluid permeable material similar to the material of which a disinfecting wipe is comprised. Theglove 12 completely covers the user's hand, fingers and thumb when theglove 12 is worn to inhibit the user's hand, fingers and thumb from contacting thesurface 14 and potentially transferring bacteria. In this way theglove 12 facilitates enhanced protection from bacteria transfer compared to traditional disinfecting wipes. - A
chemical disinfectant 24 is provided and thechemical disinfectant 24 is infused into theglove 12. Thechemical disinfectant 24 is released onto thesurface 14 intended for cleaning when theglove 12 is wiped across thesurface 14. In this way thechemical disinfectant 24 can disinfect thesurface 14. Thechemical disinfectant 24 is evenly distributed throughout thehand portion 16, each of thefingers 20 and thethumb 22. Additionally, thechemical disinfectant 24 may be achemical disinfectant 24 that is commonly found in disinfecting wipes, or thechemical disinfectant 24 may comprise any fluid disinfectant that is safe for human contact. - In use, the
glove 12 is worn on the user's hand when the user wishes to clean and disinfect asurface 14. Theglove 12 is wiped along thesurface 14 to spread thechemical disinfectant 24 on thesurface 14. In this way theglove 12 facilitates the user to clean and disinfect thesurface 14 without the risk of touching thesurface 14. Thus, theglove 12 facilitates a greater degree of protection for the user with respect to disinfecting with a traditional disinfecting wipe. Theglove 12 is disposed of when thesurface 14 has been cleaned and disinfected. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
