Abstract
Disclosed are an anti-off device and a protective hat having the anti-off device. The protective hat includes a hat body, protective goggles, a binding strap and an anti-off device. The hat body has a slot; the protective goggles and the binding strap are bundled altogether with the hat body; the anti-off device includes an anti-off body and snap arm. The anti-off body has a passage; a snap arm integrally coupled to the anti-off body, and the snap arm is inserted into the slot and the snap body is detachably engaged with the hat body, and the binding strap is disposed in the passage, such that when the protective goggles are moved upward or downward, the binding strap is still limited by passage to achieve the anti-off effect.
Description
- The technical field relates to the anti-off effect of a binding strap, and more particularly to an anti-off device and a protective hat having the anti-off device.
- This disclosure is directed to a protective hat such as a safety helmet used for riding motorcycles and bicycles or a hard hat used in construction sites, and a pair of protective goggles are added by using a binding strap to further provide eye protection. In other words, the protective goggles together with the binding strap are bundled to the outside of the protective hat.
- To prevent the binding strap from falling off from the protective hat, the conventional protective hat generally includes an anti-off device. However, the conventional anti-off device is of two or more pieces, so that two or more molds are required and the cost is increased. In addition, the assembling will be more troublesome since it is necessary to assemble two or more pieces. Obviously, the conventional protective hat has the drawbacks including the difficulty of assembling/disassembling the anti-off device with/from the protective hat, and it requires users to take off the protective hat for the assembling/disassembling.
- In view of the aforementioned drawback of the prior art, the discloser of this disclosure based on years of experience in the related industry to conduct extensive research and experiment, and finally provided a feasible solution as disclosed in this disclosure to overcome the drawback of the prior art.
- Therefore, it is a primary object of this disclosure to overcome the aforementioned drawback of the prior art by providing an anti-off device and a protective hat having the anti-off device which have a better binding strap anti-off effect, an easy mold manufacture that can reduce or skip the troublesome manufacture, and a quick and easy assembling/disassembling effect.
- To achieve the aforementioned and other objectives, this disclosure discloses an anti-off device for a protective hat, and the protective hat comprising a hat body with a slot and a snap portion, and protective goggles and a binding strap being bundled with the outer side of the hat body, and the anti-off device comprising: an anti-off body, having a passage; and a snap arm, elastically and bendably coupled to the anti-off body and having a snap body, and the anti-off body of the snap arm being passed and inserted into the slot and the snap body being detachably engaged with the snap portion and fixed to the outer side of the hat body, and the binding strap being disposed in the passage; thereby, when the protective goggles are moved downward and worn on a user's face and then moved to the outer side of the hat body, the binding strap is still limited by the passage to provide an anti-off effect.
- This disclosure also discloses a protective hat having an anti-off device and comprising: a hat body, having a slot and a snap portion; a pair of protective goggles and a binding strap, surroundingly coupled to and jointly bundled with the outer side of the hat body; and an anti-off device, comprising: an anti-off body, having a passage; and a snap arm, elastically and bendably coupled to the anti-off body and having a snap body, and the anti-off body of the snap arm being passed and inserted into the slot and the snap body being detachably engaged with the snap portion and fixed to the outer side of the hat body, and the binding strap being disposed in the passage; thereby, when the protective goggles are moved downward and worn on a user's face and then moved to the outer side of the hat body, the binding strap is still limited by the passage to provide an anti-off effect.

It is intended that the embodiments and drawings disclosed herein are to be considered illustrative rather than restrictive.
- With reference to
FIG. 4 for an anti-off device and a protective hat having the anti-off device in accordance with this disclosure, the protective hat comprises: a pair ofprotective goggles 500, abinding strap 600, ahat body 700 and ananti-off device 100. - In
FIGS. 4 and 5 , thehat body 700 has aslot 71 and asnap portion 701. In a preferred embodiment, the outer side of the hat body 700 (which is alateral side 703 in this embodiment) has aprotrusion 7, and theslot 71 is formed at theprotrusion 7; and thesnap portion 701 is any position or structure that can be engaged with thehat body 700, wherein thesnap portion 701 is the hat's lower edge 7011 (which is also the lower edge of thehat body 700 as shown inFIG. 5 ) in this embodiment. In addition, thehat body 700 further has ahat brim 702 extending sideway (or in a horizontal direction) towards the outside (as shown inFIG. 5 ). - The
protective goggles 500 and thebinding strap 600 are surroundingly coupled with each other, so that theprotective goggles 500 and thebinding strap 600 in this status can be jointly bundled to the outside of thehat body 700. In other words, the surrounding method is used to connect them to the external periphery of thehat body 700. - In
FIGS. 1 to 3 , theanti-off device 100 comprises ananti-off body 1 and asnap arm 2 which will be described below. - The
anti-off body 1 has apassage 13 provided for limiting thebinding strap 600. Specifically, theanti-off body 1 comprises acarrier plate 11 and aclamping plate 12 arranged with an interval apart from each other, and thepassage 13 is formed at the interval between thecarrier plate 11 and theclamping plate 12, and thepassage 13 has twoopenings 131 configured to be corresponsive to the lengthwise direction of the binding strap 600 (as shown inFIGS. 1 and 2 ). - The
snap arm 2 is elastically and bendably coupled (or integrally coupled) to theanti-off body 1 and can be passed and inserted into theslot 71. Specifically, an end of thesnap arm 2 is elastically and bendably coupled to thecarrier plate 11, so that thesnap arm 2 can be skewed elastically with respect to theanti-off body 1; and asnap body 223 is protruded from the other end of thesnap arm 2. Therefore, when thesnap arm 2 is passed and inserted into theslot 71 and then thesnap body 223 is detachably engaged with the hat'slower edge 7011, so as to fix theanti-off device 100 of this disclosure to alateral side 703 of thehat body 700. It is noteworthy that after thesnap arm 2 is engaged, the other end will be protruded from the hat'slower edge 7011 and provided for the user to toggle for disengagement. Thebinding strap 600 is disposed in thepassage 13 and limited by thepassage 13. In this embodiment, thebinding strap 600 is passed through the twoopenings 131 and disposed in thepassage 13. - Regardless of moving the
protective goggles 500 downward or wearing theprotective goggles 500 on a user's face (as shown inFIGS. 4 and 5 ) or moving theprotective goggles 500 upward to the external periphery of thehat body 700 to where both of theprotective goggles 500 and thebinding strap 600 are bundled (as shown inFIGS. 7 and 8 ), thebinding strap 600 is still limited by thepassage 13, so that thebinding strap 600 has an anti-off effect. - It is noteworthy that the height of the
passage 13 is not specified in this disclosure, and thepassage 13 of this embodiment has a height greater than (for example, at least twice as large as) the width of the binding strap 600 (wherein the width of thebinding strap 600 is shown inFIG. 5 ), so that when the protective goggles are moved upward or downward, thebinding strap 600 is displaced within the height of thepassage 13 correspondingly. - In this disclosure, the way of setting the
binding strap 600 in thepassage 13 is not limited, so that thebinding strap 600 may situated in thepassage 13 first, and then thebinding strap 600 and theprotective goggles 500 are surroundingly coupled to each other, or thebinding strap 600 may be surroundingly coupled with theprotective goggles 500 first, and then bundled to the external periphery of thehat body 700, and finally moved into thepassage 13. The latter is used as an example for illustrating this embodiment of the disclosure as follows. Theclamping plate 12 comprises twoclamping plate members 121, wherein the two ends of the twoclamping plate members 121 which are far away from each other are coupled to two opposite ends of thecarrier plate 11 respectively by a connectingportion 14, and anotch 122 is formed between the two ends of the twoclamping plate members 121 which are close to each other, so that thebinding strap 600 can be entered into thepassage 13 from thenotch 122. - In
FIGS. 1, 3, 5 and 6 , thesnap arm 2 comprises abase plate 21 and atongue 22 and preferably further comprises twosupport arms 23. Thebase plate 21 has an end elastically and bendably coupled to thecarrier plate 11 of theanti-off body 1, and an end of thetongue 22 and the twosupport arms 23 are elastically and bendably coupled to the other end of thebase plate 21, and the other end of thetongue 22 has thesnap body 223 protruded therefrom. Wherein, thetongue 22 and the two supportarms 23 are arranged side by side with each other (or with a space apart and side by side with each other) and coupled to the other end of thebase plate 21. Therefore, when thesnap arm 2 is passed and inserted into theslot 71, thesnap body 223 of thetongue 22 is engaged with the hat'slower edge 7011, and the twosupport arms 23 are elastically supported by two oppositeinner walls 72 of theslot 71 as shown inFIG. 6 , so as to maintain a stable insertion of thesnap arm 2 and a secured engagement with the hat'slower edge 7011. - The
tongue 22 has anengaging side 221 and a movingside 222 opposite to each other. Thesnap body 223 is protruded from theengaging side 221, and an activity space S is defined between the adjacent walls of the movingside 222 and theslot 71 as shown inFIG. 5 . Therefore, if it is necessary to toggle thetongue 22 for disengagement, thetongue 22 will be elastically skewed in the activity space S or elastically bent to thesnap body 223 to separate the hat'slower edge 7011. It is noteworthy that the movingside 222 of thetongue 2 2 may be thinned to form the required activity space S, but this disclosure is not limited to such arrangement only. - In
FIG. 6 together withFIG. 1 , at least oneremaining part 214 which has not been coupled may be formed at the other end of thebase plate 21. In this embodiment, two symmetricalremaining parts 214 are formed. In a preferred embodiment, thetongue 22 and the twosupport arms 23 are disposed between the two remainingparts 214, and the tworemaining parts 214 are also arranged side by side with thetongue 22 and the two supportarms 23. Therefore, after thesnap arm 2 is passed and inserted into theslot 71, the tworemaining parts 214 abut against theprotrusion 7 and thesnap body 223 is engaged with the hat'slower edge 7011 appropriately. - In addition, the
snap arm 2 further has abent portion 211 disposed at an end thereof, and thesnap arm 2 is coupled to theanti-off body 1 by thebent portion 211, so that thesnap arm 2 can use thebent portion 211 as an axis to skew with respect to theanti-off body 1. InFIG. 3 , an included angle A formed between thesnap arm 2, thebent portion 211 and theanti-off body 1 may be increased or described by the skew. InFIG. 5 , after theanti-off device 100 of this disclosure is inserted into theslot 71 by thesnap arm 2, the included angle A will be increased by the elastic distraction of the outwardly extended hat brim 702 (sideway or in a horizontal direction, so that after thesnap arm 2 is inserted, an elastic clamping force is produced between theanti-off body 1 and thesnap arm 2 automatically. - Compared with the prior art, this disclosure has the following effects: 1. The
anti-off device 100 of this disclosure is a one-piece device, and thus has an easy mold manufacturing effect without requiring the manufacture and assembling two or more pieces of components and saves the trouble of the manufacturing and assembling procedure. 2. Thesnap arm 2 is elastically and bendably coupled to theanti-off body 1, and the anti-off device and the protective hat has the elastic engagement and disengagement effect to provide an easy assembling and disassembling of thehat body 700 and a quick and easy assembling and disassembling effect. 3. The anti-off device can be installed/uninstalled easily and quickly to/fromdifferent hat bodies 700, so that the users can use thehat body 700 that fits the shape and size of their head without the need of using anunfitted hat body 700 for the reason of the difficult assembling procedure. 4. Theanti-off device 100 of this disclosure may be sold alone, and it is not necessary to sell the anti-off device and thehat body 700 as a set, and thus this disclosure has the effect of not occupying too much space. - While this disclosure has been described by means of specific embodiments, numerous modifications and variations could be made thereto by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope and spirit of this disclosure set forth in the claims.
Claims (20)
1. An anti-off device for a protective hat, and the protective hat comprising a hat body with a slot and a snap portion, and protective goggles and a binding strap being bundled with the outer side of the hat body, and the anti-off device comprising:
an anti-off body, having a passage; and
a snap arm, elastically and bendably coupled to the anti-off body and having a snap body, and the anti-off body of the snap arm being passed and inserted into the slot and the snap body being detachably engaged with the snap portion and fixed to the outer side of the hat body, and the binding strap being disposed in the passage;
thereby, when the protective goggles are moved downward and worn on a user's face and then moved to the outer side of the hat body, the binding strap is still limited by the passage to provide an anti-off effect.
2. The anti-off device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the snap arm has a bent portion at an end thereof, and the snap arm is coupled to the anti-off body by the bent portion, and the snap arm is skewed with respect to the anti-off body by the bent portion, and the snap arm, and an included angle between the bent portion and the anti-off body is increased or decreased by the skew.

The anti-off device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the anti-off body comprises a carrier plate and a clamping plate with an interval apart from each other, and the anti-off body has the passage formed between the carrier plate and the clamping plate, and the passage has two openings configured to be corresponsive to the lengthwise direction of the binding strap, and the binding strap is passed through the two openings and disposed in the passage.
4. The anti-off device as claimed in claim 3 , wherein the passage has a height greater than or at least twice as large as the width of the binding strap, and the binding strap is displaced within the height of the passage by moving the protective goggles upward or downward.
5. The anti-off device as claimed in claim 3 , wherein the clamping plate comprises two clamping plate members with two ends which are far apart with each other and coupled to the carrier plate, the two clamping plate members, and a notch formed between two ends which are close to each other, and the binding strap is entered from the notch into the passage.

The anti-off device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the snap arm comprises a base plate and a tongue, and an end of the base plate is elastically and bendably coupled to the anti-off body, and an end of the tongue is elastically and bendably coupled to the other end of the base plate, and the other end of the tongue has the snap body protruded therefrom.
7. The anti-off device as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the snap arm further comprises a pair of support arms coupled to the other end of the base plate, and the pair of support arms are supported by two opposite inner walls of the slot respectively.
8. The anti-off device as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the tongue has an engaging side and a moving side opposite to each other, and the snap body is protruded from the engaging side, and an activity space is defined between the adjacent inner walls of the moving side and the slot, and the tongue in the activity space is elastically bent to the snap body for separating the snap portion.
9. The anti-off device as claimed in claim 6 , wherein at least one remaining part which has not been coupled is formed at the other end of the base plate, and abuts against and connects the hat body, so as to engage the snap body to the snap portion.
10. The anti-off device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the snap arm has an end elastically and bendably coupled to the anti-off body, and the snap arm has the snap body protruded from the other end thereof, and the snap portion is protruded from the other end of the snap arm and provided for a user to toggle for disengagement.
11. A protective hat having an anti-off device, comprising:
a hat body, having a slot and a snap portion;
a pair of protective goggles and a binding strap, surroundingly coupled to and jointly bundled with the outer side of the hat body; and
an anti-off device, comprising:
an anti-off body, having a passage; and
a snap arm, elastically and bendably coupled to the anti-off body and having a snap body, and the anti-off body of the snap arm being passed and inserted into the slot and the snap body being detachably engaged with the snap portion and fixed to the outer side of the hat body, and the binding strap being disposed in the passage;
thereby, when the protective goggles are moved downward and worn on a user's face and then moved to the outer side of the hat body, the binding strap is still limited by the passage to provide an anti-off effect.
12. The anti-off device as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the snap arm has a bent portion disposed at an end thereof, and the snap arm is coupled to the anti-off body by the bent portion, and the snap arm is skewed with respect to the anti-off body by the bent portion, and an included angle is defined between the snap arm, the bent portion and the anti-off body and increased or decreased by the skew.
13. The anti-off device as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the anti-off body comprises a carrier plate and a clamping plate arranged with an interval apart from each other, and the passage is formed at the interval between the carrier plate and the clamping plate, and the passage has two openings configured to be corresponsive to the lengthwise direction of the binding strap, and the binding strap is passed through the two openings and disposed in the passage.
14. The anti-off device as claimed in claim 13 , wherein the passage has a height greater than or at least twice as large as the width of the binding strap, and the binding strap is displaced within the height of the passage by moving the protective goggles upward or downward.
15. The anti-off device as claimed in claim 13 , wherein the clamping plate comprises two clamping plate members having two ends which are far apart from each other and coupled to the carrier plate, and a notch is formed between two ends of the two clamping plate members which are close to each other, and the binding strap is entered from the notch into the passage.
16. The anti-off device as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the snap arm comprises a base plate and a tongue, and the base plate has an end elastically and bendably coupled to the anti-off body, and the tongue has an end elastically and bendably coupled to the other end of the base plate, and the other end of the tongue has the snap body protruded therefrom.
17. The anti-off device as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the snap arm further comprises a pair of support arms coupled to the other end of the base plate, and supported by of two opposite inner walls of the slot respectively.
18. The anti-off device as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the tongue has an engaging side and a moving side opposite to each other, and the snap body is protruded from the engaging side, and an activity space is defined between the moving side and the slot, and the tongue in the activity space is elastically bent to the snap body for separating the snap portion.
19. The anti-off device as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the outer side of the hat body has a protrusion, and the slot is formed at the protrusion, and the snap arm comprises a base plate and a tongue, and the base plate has an end elastically and bendably coupled to the anti-off body, and the tongue has an end elastically and bendably coupled to the other end of the base plate, and the other end of the tongue has the snap body protruded therefrom, and the other end of the base plate has at least one remaining part which is not coupled, and the at least one remaining part abuts against and connects the protrusion, so that the snap body is engaged to the snap portion appropriately.
20. The anti-off device as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the snap portion is a hat's lower edge of the hat body, and the snap arm has an end elastically and bendably coupled to the anti-off body, and the snap body is protruded from the other end of the snap arm, and the other end of the snap arm is protruded from the hat's lower edge and provided for a user to toggle for disengagement.
