Abstract
A game has a plurality of value pieces and playing pieces of different colors for different players, a surface having a boundary formed as a circle or a square and two lines inside and outside of the boundary so that players are positioned on the second line and throw the playing pieces to strike outwardly of the boundary, and structural elements placeable on the surface and each having a flexible elongated part to form the boundary formed as the circle or the square, the first line, and the second line, and each of the structural elements is provided with engaging formations introduceable into the surface to retain them.
Description
- This application is a continuation of patent application Ser. No. 16/511,931, filed Jul. 15, 2019
- The present invention relates generally to games.
- Many games are known in the art which include a plurality of pieces used for placing, moving, throwing them on certain surfaces relative to certain areas, to provide recreational as well as educational activities.
- It is believed that the existing games of this type can be further improved and new games can be developed.
- Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a new game and a method of playing a game, which are further improvements of the existing games of this type.
- In keeping with these objects and with others which will become apparent hereinafter, one feature of the present invention resides, briefly stated in a game, which has a plurality of value pieces, a plurality of playing pieces of different colors for different players, a surface having a boundary formed as a circle or a square and two lines including a first line provided inside the boundary for placing some of the playing pieces inside the boundary and a second line provided outside of the boundary for positioning of players, so that players one after the other are positioned on the second line and each throw his or her playing pieces to strike outwardly of the boundary some of the playing pieces positioned on the first line inside the boundary, and a plurality of structural elements placeable on the surface and each having an elongated part which is flexible so as to form the boundary formed as the circle or the square, the first line, and the second line, so that the boundary formed as the circle or the square, the first line, and the second line are formed by the flexible elongated parts of the structural elements, with each of said structural elements being provided with engaging formations introduceable into the surface to retain the structural elements.
- Accordance to another feature of the game of the present invention the playing pieces of the game can be provided with different colors for different players.
- Accordance to a further feature of the game of the present invention the playing pieces can be provided with different colors for different players on their side surfaces, while upper and lower surfaces of the playing pieces have a same color.
- Accordance to a further feature of the game of the present invention the value carrying pieces can be provided with colors corresponding to colors of the playing pieces.
- The novel features of the present invention are set forth in particular in the appended claims.
- The invention itself however both as to its construction and method of playing will be best understood from the following description of preferred embodiments which is accompanied by the following drawings.
-
FIG. 1 is a view showing a surface element for playing the game according to the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a view showing one of the playing pieces according to the present invention; -
FIG. 3 is a view showing one of the players selecting pieces according to the present invention; -
FIG. 4 is a view showing one of the value carrying pieces according to the present invention; -
FIG. 5 is a view showing a field element for placing bets pieces according to the present invention; and -
FIGS. 6 and 7 are views showing elements for marking playing areas for the game according to the present invention. - According to the present invention as shown in
FIG. 1 a surface 1 is provided and has aboundary 2 which can be in form of a circle or a square. The surface can be in form of an inside living floor, or an outside ground or pavement, or a manufactured piece of a material. Substantially in a center of the surface 1 inside the boundary 2 afirst line 3 is made for placing playing pieces. Outside the boundary 2 asecond line 4 is made for positioning of players. - The pieces of the game include
value pieces 5 which however are not provided with signs identifying their monetary values. The pieces of the game further include playingpieces 6 including several pieces for each player. Theplaying pieces 6 have different colors for different players, for example fiveplaying pieces 6 for each player. Preferably the upper and lower surfaces of theplaying pieces 6 have the same color for all players, while their side surfaces have different colors to be used by different players. Also, eachplaying piece 6 has identical upper and lower surfaces, while its side surface at a read end is curved preferably with a circular shape while its side surface at a front end narrows forwardly in an arrow-like shape. - A cube-
shaped betting piece 7 with different numbers of dots on its sides can be used. Afield element 8 can be also provided with receptacles for placing of thevalue pieces 5. - Finally, a plurality of structural elements are provided each having an elongated part 9 which can be flexible to form not only a linear element as shown in
FIG. 6 but also to form any desired shapes by flexing the elongated part 9 of each of the structural elements. The correspondingly shaped structural elements can be used to be placed on a supporting surface such as an outside ground, an inside floor etc. to 2, 3, 4 ofmark lines FIG. 1 and the circles ofFIG. 5 . The elongated parts 9 of the structural elements can be provided withengaging formations 10 introduceable into corresponding surfaces to retain the structural elements in proper places and in their desired shapes - For playing the game the
playing pieces 6 of all players are placed on thefirst line 3. Thevalue pieces 5 are placed in the receptacles of the field element 8 A bet is conducted to determine a first player and subsequent players one after the other with the use of the cube-shaped betting piece 7. The first player then stands on theplayers line 4 and throws theplaying piece 6 of his color to strike the playing pieces placed on thefirst line 3 outwardly of theboundary 2. - If the player strikes even one of the
playing pieces 6 outside of theboundary 2 he or she continues the game throwing the playing pieces further. If however the first player does not strike at least one playing piece outside the boundary, he or she goes back to the second line. Then the next player continues the game throwing the playing pieces of his color to strike theplaying pieces 4 from thefirst line 3 outwardly of theboundary 2. - It should be mentioned that if during the game any playing
piece 6 stands in a vertical position with the green color on its side, the owner of this playing piece obtains the advantage to continue the game by throwing the playing piece. - The winner of the game is a person who strikes out the greatest number of the
playing pieces 6. - The invention is not limited to the details shown since various modifications and structural changes are possible without departing from the spirit of the invention.
- What is desired to be protected by Letters Patent is set forth in the appended claims.
