Abstract
Description
- The present invention relates to a combustion device and, more particular, to a decorative combustion device capable of emitting fragrance.
- Taiwan Utility Model Publication No. M451141 issued on Apr. 21, 2013 discloses a burner including a heating base having an accommodation space, a fragrance capsule placed in the accommodation space, and a covering member covering the fragrance capsule. The fragrance capsule includes a heat resistant container in contact with the heating base and having an opening, a fragrance block disposed in the heat resistant container, and a sealing cover sealing the opening to seal the fragrance block in the heat resistant container. In use, the sealing cover can be first torn, and then the heat resistant container with the fragrance block is placed in the accommodating space.
- However, the foregoing burner used electric to heat the fragrance capsule to emit fragrance. It takes a very long time for the entire indoor space to be full of fragrance.
- Thus, a need exists for a novel combustion device to mitigate and/or obviate the above disadvantages.
- In a first aspect, a combustion device according to the present invention comprises a burner and a fragrance diffuser. The burner is provided with a top end having a combustion portion. The fragrance diffuser includes a support and a holder adapted to hold a fragrance substance. The support is disposed on the top end and is provided with an inner wall and an outer wall. The inner wall extends in a vertical direction and is arranged around the combustion portion. The outer wall extends in the vertical direction and is arranged around the inner wall. A holding space is formed between the inner wall and the outer wall, and the holder is disposed in the holding space.
- In an example, the burner is provided with a bottom end opposite to the top end. The burner includes a fuel container and a wick. The fuel container includes a wide portion adjacent to the bottom end, and a narrow portion adjacent to the top end. A width of the narrow portion is less than a width of the wide portion in a horizontal direction. An end of the narrow portion opposite to the wide portion is provided with an opening. A first end of the wick is inserted into the fuel container via the opening, and a second end of the wick is disposed in the combustion portion. The inner wall is arranged around the narrow portion, and an end of the inner wall adjacent to the burner is abutted against an outer end face located at a side of the wide portion adjacent to the narrow portion.
- In an example, the support is provided with at least one connection rib extending in the vertical direction and disposed in the holding space. A first end of the at least one connection rib is connected to the inner wall, and a second end of the at least one connection rib is connected to the outer wall in the horizontal direction. The holder includes two recesses, and a hanging portion arranged between the two recesses. Two ends of the hanging portion are connected to the two recesses. The hanging portion hangs on a top edge of the at least one connection rib in the vertical direction. The two recesses are located at two opposite sides of the at least one connection rib.
- In an example, the support includes four connection ribs respectively extending in the vertical direction and arrayed in the holding space in a circumferential direction at angles of equal intervals. A first end of each connection rib is connected to the inner wall, and a second end of each connection rib is connected to the outer wall in the horizontal direction. The hanging portion hangs on a top edge of one of the four connection ribs in the vertical direction. The two recesses are located at two opposite sides of one of the four connection ribs.
- In an example, ends of the four connection ribs adjacent to the burner abut against the outer end face located at a side of the wide portion adjacent to the narrow portion. The outer wall is not in contact with the fuel container. The holding space is communicated with the outside via a gap formed between a bottom edge of the outer wall and the fuel container in the vertical direction.
- In an example, the fragrance diffuser is provided with a lid abutting an end of the inner wall opposite to the burner in the vertical direction. The lid is provided with a through hole and a plurality of penetrating holes, and the through hole corresponds to the combustion portion. An end of the holding space is communicated with the outside via the plurality of penetrating holes.
- In an example, an outer periphery of the lid corresponds to an inner periphery of the outer wall in the horizontal direction.
- In an example, the support is formed as a single piece. The inner wall and the outer wall are round tubular and both extend along a central axis. The four connection ribs are sheet shapes.
- In a second aspect, a combustion device according to the present invention comprises a burner and a fragrance diffuser. The burner is provided with a fuel container and an opening communicated with the fuel container. The burner includes a wick and a collar assembly. The wick is inserted into the fuel container via the opening. A ring body of the collar assembly includes a lower tube portion, an upper tube portion, and a flange. The lower tube portion and the upper tube portion are mounted around the wick. The lower tube portion is inserted into the opening. The upper tube portion extends out of the opening and is connected with the lower tube portion. The flange is radially connected outer peripheries of the lower tube portion and the upper tube portion and is disposed between the lower tube portion and the upper tube portion. The fragrance diffuser is mounted on a side of the flange opposite to the lower tube portion and is disposed adjacent to an outer periphery of the upper tube portion.
- In an example, the fragrance diffuser includes a holder, a fragrance substance, and a lid. The holder is mounted on the side of the flange opposite to the lower tube portion and is disposed adjacent to the upper tube portion. A side of the holder opposite to the flange is provided with a recess. The fragrance substance is disposed in the recess. The lid is disposed on the side of the holder opposite to the flange and is provided with a through hole and a plurality of penetrating holes. The through hole is mounted around the upper tube portion. The plurality of penetrating holes correspond to the recess.
- In an example, an end of the upper tube portion opposite to the lower tube portion is provided with a neck. A width of the neck is less than a maximum width of the upper tube portion in a radial direction. The lid is mounted around the neck and abuts against a stepped end face of the neck adjacent to the upper tube portion.
- In an example, the ring body is formed as a single piece. The lower tube portion and the upper tube portion are round tubular and both extend along a central axis. The flange is an annular sheet.
- In an example, the burner includes an inner wall and an outer wall. The fuel container and the opening are disposed at the inner wall. The outer wall is arranged around the inner wall. A hollow space is formed between the inner wall and the outer wall. A bottom edge of the outer wall is provided with an aperture communicated with the hollow space in a vertical direction. The burner is connected to a base mounted with the aperture. The base is provided with an open hole communicated with the hollow space. A first side of the base is provided with a slot disposed around the open hole, and the bottom edge is inserted into the slot.
- In an example, a second side of the base is provided with a bottom portion. A first side of the slot opposite to the open hole is provided with an outer edge, and first height is formed between the outer edge and the bottom portion in the vertical direction. A second side of the slot adjacent to the open hole is provided with an inner edge and a second height is formed between the inner edge and the bottom portion in the vertical direction. The second height is less than the first height.
- In an example, the inner wall and the outer wall are formed as a single piece.
- In an example, an inner periphery of the outer wall is not in contact with an outer periphery of the inner wall. The inner wall includes a tubular containing portion and a connection tube portion. The fuel container is disposed in the containing portion. The connection tube portion is connected to the containing portion. The opening is disposed in the connection tube portion. The outer wall includes an outer tubular portion and a connection portion. The containing portion and the outer tubular portion both extend along a central axis. A first side of the connection portion is connected to an end of the connection tube portion opposite to the containing portion, and a second side of the connection portion is connected to a top end of the outer tubular portion in the vertical direction.
- In an example, the collar assembly includes a plurality of O-rings. An outer periphery of the lower tube portion opposite to the wick is provided with a plurality of grooves. The plurality of the O-rings are respectively arranged in the plurality of grooves, and sides of the plurality of the O-rings opposite to the ring body abut against an inner periphery of the connection tube portion.
- In an example, the inner wall and the outer wall are made of glass and are transparent. The wick is made of metal. The ring body is made of metal or plastic.
- The present invention will become clearer in light of the following detailed description of illustrative embodiments of this invention described in connection with the drawings.

FIGS. 1-6 show a combustion device of a first embodiment according to the present invention. Thecombustion device 10 includes aburner 20 and afragrance diffuser 30. - The
burner 20 is provided with atop end 21 having acombustion portion 22. - The
burner 20 is further provided with abottom end 23 opposite to thetop end 21. Theburner 20 includes afuel container 24 and awick 25. Thefuel container 24 includes awide portion 241 adjacent to thebottom end 23, and anarrow portion 242 adjacent to thetop end 21. A width of thenarrow portion 242 is less than a width of thewide portion 241 in a horizontal direction. An end of thenarrow portion 242 opposite to thewide portion 241 is provided with anopening 243. A first end of thewick 25 is inserted into thefuel container 24 via theopening 243, and a second end of thewick 25 is disposed in thecombustion portion 22. - The
fragrance diffuser 30 includes asupport 31 and aholder 32 adapted to hold a fragrance substance (not shown). Thesupport 31 is disposed on thetop end 21 and is provided with aninner wall 311 and anouter wall 312. Theinner wall 311 extends in a vertical direction and is arranged around thecombustion portion 22 and thenarrow portion 242. An end of theinner wall 311 adjacent to theburner 20 is abutted against an outer end face located at a side of thewide portion 241 adjacent to thenarrow portion 242. Theouter wall 312 extends in the vertical direction and is arranged around theinner wall 311. A holdingspace 313 is formed between theinner wall 311 and theouter wall 312, and theholder 32 is disposed in the holdingspace 313. - The
support 31 is provided with at least oneconnection rib 314 extending in the vertical direction and disposed in the holdingspace 313. A first end of the at least oneconnection rib 314 is connected to theinner wall 311, and a second end of the at least oneconnection rib 314 is connected to theouter wall 312 in the horizontal direction. Theholder 32 includes tworecesses 321, and a hangingportion 322 arranged between the tworecesses 321. Two ends of the hangingportion 322 are connected to the tworecesses 321, and the hanging portion (322) hangs on a top edge of the at least oneconnection rib 314 in the vertical direction to cause the tworecesses 321 located at two opposite sides of the at least oneconnection rib 314. - In the embodiment, the
support 31 includes fourconnection ribs 314 respectively extending in the vertical direction and arrayed in the holdingspace 313 in a circumferential direction at angles of equal intervals. A first end of eachconnection rib 314 is connected to theinner wall 311, and a second end of eachconnection rib 314 is connected to theouter wall 312 in the horizontal direction. The hangingportion 322 hangs on a top edge of one of the fourconnection ribs 314 in the vertical direction to cause the tworecesses 321 located at two opposite sides of one of the fourconnection ribs 314. - Ends of the four
connection ribs 314 adjacent to theburner 20 abut against the outer end face located at a side of thewide portion 241 adjacent to thenarrow portion 242. Theouter wall 312 is not in contact with thefuel container 24. The holdingspace 313 is communicated with the outside via a gap formed between a bottom edge of theouter wall 312 and thefuel container 24 in the vertical direction. - The
fragrance diffuser 30 is further provided with alid 33 abutting an end of theinner wall 311 opposite to theburner 20 in the vertical direction. Thelid 33 is provided with a throughhole 331 and a plurality of penetratingholes 332. The throughhole 331 corresponds to thecombustion portion 22, and an end of the holdingspace 313 is communicated with the outside via the plurality of penetratingholes 332. An outer periphery of thelid 33 corresponds to an inner periphery of theouter wall 312 in the horizontal direction. - Furthermore, the
support 31 may be formed as a single piece. Theinner wall 311 and theouter wall 312 may be round tubular and both extend along a central axis. The fourconnection ribs 314 may be in sheet shapes. - The material of the
support 31 can be ceramic, glass or aluminum alloy. After theburner 20 is ignited, the heat generated by theburner 20 raises the temperature of thesupport 31 to cause theholder 32 also be heated by theburner 20. The fragrance substance, such as fragrance wax in theholder 32 is melted by heat to emit fragrance particles, which pass through the plurality of penetratingholes 332 and is dissipated into the air. Thus, thecombustion device 10 is not only for decorative purpose, but also able to emit fragrance. Further, thefragrance diffuser 30 can function as a windshield of theburner 20. -
FIGS. 7-10 show a combustion device of a second embodiment according to the present invention. Thecombustion device 10 a includes aburner 20 a and afragrance diffuser 30 a. - The
burner 20 a includes aninner wall 21 a and anouter wall 22 a. Theinner wall 21 a provided with afuel container 211 a and anopening 212 a communicated with thefuel container 211 a. Theouter wall 22 a is arranged around theinner wall 21 a, and ahollow space 23 a is formed between theinner wall 21 a and theouter wall 22 a. Theinner wall 21 a and theouter wall 22 a may be formed as a single piece, and theinner wall 21 a and theouter wall 22 a are made of glass and are transparent. Abottom edge 221 a of theouter wall 22 a is provided with anaperture 24 a communicated with the hollow space (23 a) in a vertical direction. - An inner periphery of the
outer wall 22 a is not in contact with an outer periphery of theinner wall 21 a. Theinner wall 21 a includes atubular containing portion 213 a and aconnection tube portion 214 a. Thefuel container 211 a is disposed in the containingportion 213 a. Theconnection tube portion 214 a is connected to the containingportion 213 a. The opening 212 a is disposed in theconnection tube portion 214 a. Theouter wall 22 a includes an outertubular portion 222 a and aconnection portion 223 a. The containingportion 213 a and the outertubular portion 222 a both extend along a central axis. A first side of theconnection portion 223 a is connected to an end of theconnection tube portion 214 a opposite to the containingportion 213 a, and a second side of theconnection portion 223 a is connected to a top end of the outertubular portion 222 a in the vertical direction. - The
burner 20 a further includes awick 25 a and acollar assembly 26 a. Thewick 25 a is inserted into thefuel container 211 a via theopening 212 a, and thewick 25 a may be made of metal. - The
collar assembly 26 a includes aring body 261 a and a plurality of O-rings 262 a. Thering body 261 a is formed as a single piece and includes alower tube portion 263 a, anupper tube portion 264 a, and aflange 265 a. Thelower tube portion 263 a and theupper tube portions 264 a are mounted around thewick 25 a. Thelower tube portion 263 a is inserted into the opening 212 a. Theupper tube portion 264 a extends out of the opening 212 a and is connected with thelower tube portion 263 a. Theflange 265 a is radially connected outer peripheries of thelower tube portion 263 a and theupper tube portions 264 a and is disposed between thelower tube portion 263 a and theupper tube portions 264 a. Further, thelower tube portion 263 a and theupper tube portions 264 a may be round tubular and both extend along a central axis. Theflange 265 a may be an annular sheet. - An outer periphery of the
lower tube portion 263 a opposite to thewick 25 a is provided with a plurality ofgrooves 266 a, and the plurality of the O-rings 262 a are respectively arranged in the plurality ofgrooves 266 a. Sides of the plurality of the O-rings 262 a opposite to thering body 261 a abut against an inner periphery of theconnection tube portion 214 a. Further, thering body 261 a may be made of metal or plastic. - An end of the
upper tube portion 264 a opposite to thelower tube portion 263 a is provided with aneck 267 a. A width of theneck 267 a is less than a maximum width of theupper tube portion 264 a in a radial direction. - The
burner 20 a is connected to a base 27 a mounted with theaperture 24 a. The base 27 a is provided with anopen hole 271 a communicated with thehollow space 23 a. A first side of the base 27 a is provided with aslot 272 a disposed around theopen hole 271 a, and thebottom edge 221 a is inserted into theslot 272 a. - A second side of the base 27 a is provided with a
bottom portion 273 a. A first side of theslot 272 a opposite to theopen hole 271 a is provided with anouter edge 274 a, and a first height H1 is formed between theouter edge 274 a and thebottom portion 273 a in the vertical direction. A second side of theslot 272 a adjacent to theopen hole 271 a is provided with aninner edge 275 a, and a second height H2 is formed between theinner edge 275 a and thebottom portion 273 a in the vertical direction, and the second height H2 is less than the first height H1. - The
fragrance diffuser 30 a is mounted on a side of theflange 265 a opposite to thelower tube portion 263 a and is disposed adjacent to an outer periphery of theupper tube portion 264 a. - The
fragrance diffuser 30 a includes aholder 31 a, afragrance substance 32 a, and alid 33 a. Theholder 31 a is mounted on the side of theflange 265 a opposite to thelower tube portion 263 a and is disposed adjacent to theupper tube portion 264 a. A side of theholder 31 a opposite to theflange 265 a is provided with arecess 311 a, and thefragrance substance 32 a is disposed in therecess 311 a. Thelid 33 a is disposed on the side of theholder 31 a opposite to theflange 265 a and is provided with a throughhole 331 a and a plurality of penetratingholes 332 a. The throughhole 331 a is mounted around theupper tube portion 264 a, and the plurality of penetratingholes 332 a correspond to therecess 311 a. Further, thelid 33 a may be mounted around theneck 267 a to abut against a stepped end face of theneck 267 a adjacent to theupper tube portion 264 a. - After the
burner 20 a is ignited, the heat generated by theburner 20 a raises the temperature of thering body 261 a to cause theholder 31 a also be heated by theburner 20 a. Thefragrance substance 32 a, such as fragrance wax in theholder 31 a is melted by heat to emit fragrance particles, which pass through the plurality of penetratingholes 332 a and is dissipated into the air. Thus, thecombustion device 10 a is not only for decorative purpose, but also able to emit fragrance. - The
combustion device 10 a can achieve a good heat insulation effect by a two-layer structure formed from theinner wall 21 a and theouter wall 22 a. Although the center of gravity of the two-layer structure of theburner 20 a will be slightly higher, but the base 27 a mounted on thebottom edge 221 a of theburner 20 a can lower the center of gravity of theburner 20 a to prevent thecombustion device 10 a being tipped over. Moreover, the most fragile position of the glass material is at the edges and the corners, so that thebottom edge 221 a is covered by the base 27 a to prevent theburner 20 a being easily damaged. - While various embodiments have been described above, it should be understood that they have been presented by way of example only, and not limitation. For example, any of the elements associated with the privacy summary may employ any of the desired functionality set forth hereinabove. Thus, the breadth and scope of a preferred embodiment should not be limited by any of the above-described exemplary embodiments.
