Abstract

The scope of this invention was to create a container that could endure extreme hot temperatures when heated by microwave and endure extreme cold temperatures without cracking when shipped with dry ice. In addition, the container was ergonomically designed to encompass a snug fit to keep the food contained, but the top is easily detached even if the individual does not have full use of their hands. The container is multipurpose. There was not a container on the market that met these criteria, so extensive time was expended to design such a container to fit the needs of the company.

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention is a multipurpose, specific company container (Tray and Lid) that holds two cavities, with volumes of 48.5 fluid inches (26.5 US fluid ounces) and 29.0 fluid inches (16.0 US fluid ounces). Container is constructed from natural polypropylene and is food grade.
    • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The invention is a specific company container intended to be used for food. Its unique design is ergonomically designed to be opened by anyone, but most importantly, individuals who have hand disabilities or reduced hand function from medical conditions like Parkinson‘s’ or Arthritis. The container has a snug fit but is easily opened by the consumer. The hot/cold durable container is designed to withstand both extreme hot and cold temperatures. The multipurpose, flexible, and microwave safe is sturdy enough to not crack when packed and shipped using dry ice. The container has been currently employed by Meds & Meals and is used as a refrigerating and microwaveable device by senior citizens.

Claims (6)

  1. i. THE SPECIFIC COMPANY CONTAINER CONSISTS OF ONLY TWO PIECES A TOP AND A BOTTOM TRAY AND IS MULTI-PURPOSE.
  2. ii. THERE IS A NOTCH ON THE TOP LEFT AND BOTTOM RIGHT CORNERS TO FACILITATE EASE OF REMOVING THE TOP OF THE CONTAINER.
  3. iii. WHEN THE TOP IS PLACED ON THE BOTTOM TRAY THERE IS VERY FAINT SNAPPING SOUND TO VALIDATE THAT THE TOP OF THE CONTAINER IS SECURELY FASTENED TO THE BOTTOM TRAY. THE TOP EASILY REMAINS ON UNTIL SNAPPED OPEN. THIS FACILITATES EASE OF USE FOR INDIVIDUALS THAT DO NOT HAVE FULL USE OF THEIR HANDS.
  4. iv. THE CONTAINER IS FORMED USING 0.020″ NATURAL POLYPROPYLENE.
  5. v. THE BOTTOM TRAY WHEN FILLED WITH FOOD DOES NOT COLLAPSE UNDER EXTREME HEAT OR COLD TEMPERATURES.
  6. vi. THE CONTAINER IS MICROWAVE SAFE.
