Abstract
Description

- The present invention relates to a spinner, and more particularly to a finger spinner which can be attached to a C-shape or O-shape ring or the nail surface.
- On one hand, nowadays fingertips gyroscope becomes more and more popular. The fingertips gyroscope has characteristics of novelty, playability and environmentally friendly. As a result, the fingertips gyroscope surpasses the traditional hand playing pieces, such as twist Buddha beads, hand playing walnuts, rotatable pens and other palm toys, and the traditional hand playing pieces have encountered unprecedented challenges.
- However, according to the current market, the fingertips gyroscope only has a single function. The volume of the fingertips gyroscope is too large and is not to easy carry. In particular, the fingertips gyroscope is not favored by female.
- On the other hand, in this rapidly changing society, people have more and more job and life stress, providing people an effective manner to relieve their stress and to improve the quality of life is needed. Based on the theory of psychology and physiology, meditation becomes popular and effective for people to relieve. In meditation, people allow harmony to percolate to every layer of existence. However, in addition to the breathing meditation which depends on concentrating on breathing so as to eliminate distractions of minds, an effective external auxiliary tool for concentrating and assisting to enter the meditation state is needed.
- The invention is advantageous in that it provides a finger spinner, which is capable of being attached to a C-shape or O-shape ring or the nail surface.
- Another advantage of the invention is to provide a finger spinner, which is provided with a central pivot element, a spinning element pivoted around the central pivot element in response to an external force, and an attaching base supporting said central pivot element.
- Another advantage of the invention is to provide a finger spinner, where in the attaching base is attached to a C-shape or O-shape ring or the nail surface.
- Another advantage of the invention is to provide a finger spinner, which has small volume, light weight and a long spinning time.
- Another advantage of the invention is to provide a finger spinner, which is visible in a dark environment.
- Another advantage of the invention is to provide a finger spinner, which is adapted to apply on a user's finger as hand playing pieces.

- According to the present invention, the foregoing and other objects and advantages are attained by a finger spinner, comprising:
- a central pivot element,
- an attaching base supporting the central pivot element, and
- a spinning element pivoted around the central pivot element, wherein the spinning element further comprises a spinning body and at least two spinning vanes symmetrical connected around the spinning body and has a central hole formed by the spinning body in a center thereof, wherein the central pivot element is rotatably penetrated through the central hole, so that the spinning element is pivoted around the central pivot element in response to an external force.
- In one embodiment, the attaching base is affixed to a finger ring.
- In accordance with another aspect of the invention, the present invention provides a finger spinner, comprising:
- a central pivot element,
- an attaching base supporting the central pivot element, and
- a spinning element pivoted around the central pivot element, wherein the spinning element further comprises a spinning body and at least two spinning vanes symmetrical connected around the spinning body and has a central hole formed by the spinning body in a center thereof, wherein the central pivot element is rotatably penetrated through the central hole, so that the spinning element is pivoted around the central pivot element in response to an external force.
- In one embodiment, the attaching base is affixed on a nail surface of a finger.
- In accordance with another aspect of the invention, the present invention provides a finger ring with finger spinner, comprising:
- a finger spinner and a ring end for being penetrated through by a finger and connected to the finger spinner, wherein the finger spinner comprises a central pivot element,
- an attaching base supporting the central pivot element, and
- a spinning element pivoted around the central pivot element, wherein the spinning element further comprises a spinning body and at least two spinning vanes symmetrical connected around the spinning body and has a central hole formed by the spinning body in a center thereof, wherein the central pivot element is penetrated through the central hole, so that the spinning element pivoted around the central pivot element in response to an external force.
- Still further objects and advantages will become apparent from a consideration of the ensuing description and drawings.

Preferred embodiments are provided in the following description only as examples and modifications will be apparent to those skilled in the art. The general principles defined in the following description would be applied to other embodiments, alternatives, modifications, equivalents, and applications without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention.
- Referring to
FIG. 1 toFIG. 7 of the drawings, a finger spinner according to a first preferred embodiment is illustrated, wherein the finger spinner comprises acentral pivot element 10, a spinningelement 20 pivoted around thecentral pivot element 10 and an attachingbase 30 supporting thecentral pivot element 10, wherein the attachingbase 30 provided in the finger spinner is capable of being attached to a C-shape, O-shape ring or a nail surface, so that the finger spinner of the present invention is adapted to apply on a user's finger as hand playing pieces. - Specifically, the
central pivot element 10 further comprises a limitingtop 11 and apivoting column 12 connected with the limitingtop 11. The spinningelement 20 further comprises a spinningbody 21 and at least two spinningvanes 22 symmetrical connected around the spinningbody 21. The spinningbody 21 forms acentral hole 210 in the center. The pivotingcolumn 12 is pentrated through the spinningbody 21 via thecentral hole 210 and is supported by the attachingbase 30. Preferably, in this first preferred embodiment of the present invention, the spinningbody 21 is coupled with the pivotingcolumn 12 in a sleeve connection. Preferably, a diameter of thecentral hole 210 is smaller than a diameter of the attachingbase 30. - The attaching
base 30 further comprises abase wall 31 and an attaching bottom 32 connected with thebase wall 31, wherein thebase wall 31 and the attaching bottom 32 form a supportingcavity 33 and a bottom end of the pivotingcolumn 12 is received in the supportingcavity 33, so that the supportingcavity 33 limits a pivoting space of the pivotingcolumn 12 of thecentral pivot element 10, thereby the spinningelement 20 being stably pivoted around thecentral pivot element 10. - In response to the actuation of an external force, the spinning
element 20 is rotatably mounted on thecentral pivot element 10. According to the first preferred embodiment, the spinningelement 20 is pivoted around thecentral pivot element 10 on the attachingbase 30. Specifically, in response to the external force applied by manual operations or winds, the spinningvanes 22 are automatically rotated with the spinningbody 21 about the stationarycentral pivot element 10. In other words, the spinningelement 20 pivotally rotates around thecentral pivot element 10. - More specifically, the number of the spinning
vanes 22 can be implemented as two, three or more. For example, in other alternative mode of the first preferred embodiment, the spinningelement 20 comprises one spinningbody 21 and two spinningvanes 22. The twospinning vanes 22 are arranged at a 180° angle interval with each other and symmetrical connected to the spinningbody 21 so as to keep the overall balance of the spinningelement 20. In this first preferred embodiment of the present invention, the spinningelement 20 comprises one spinningbody 21 and three spinningvanes 22. The threespinning vanes 22 are equilateral triangularly arranged around thecentral spinning body 21 so as to keep the overall balance of the spinningelement 20, so that the force of friction generated during the rotating process of the spinningelement 20 is reduced, thereby extending the spinning time of the finger spinner of the present invention. One skilled in the art will understand that the number of the spinningvanes 22 in the embodiment of the present invention described above is exemplary only and not intended to be limiting. In other words, the spinningvanes 22 are symmetrically arranged and connected around the spinningbody 21 so as to keep the overall balance of the spinningelement 20. - More specifically, each of the spinning
vanes 22 of the spinningelement 20 forms avane hole 220 in the center so as to reduce the weight of each of the spinningvanes 22, so that the overall weight of the spinningelement 20 is reduced and the spinning time of the finger spinner of the present invention is extended. - It is worth mentioning that each of the spinning
vanes 22 of the spinningelement 20 has edge blend of outside and inside profile, so that when the finger spinner of the present invention is spinning, the spinningvanes 22 of the spinningelement 20 cannot scratch users, thereby ensuring safety. - It is worth mentioning that a cross sectional size of the limiting
top 11 is larger than a cross sectional size of thecentral hole 210 so as to prevent the spinningvanes 22 of the spinningelement 20 being off from the pivotingcolumn 12. - As shown in
FIG. 1 toFIG. 7 of the drawings, according to the first embodiment of the present invention, the finger spinner is capable of being supported on the skins or nail surfaces of fingers by the attachingbottom 32 of the attachingbase 30 contacting with the skins or nails of fingers. The attachingbottom 32 of the attachingbase 30 can also be affixed to the fingers by adhesive. For example, the finger spinner can be used as a nail decoration for people especially for the female by affixing the attachingbottom 32 of the attachingbase 30 to a nail surface of the finger. Moreover, therotating spinning vanes 22 of the spinningelement 20 increase artistic appearance and attractiveness of the finger spinner used as the nail decoration for female. - Moreover, in other embodiments, the finger spinner can also be coupled with a finger ring by the attaching
bottom 32 of the attachingbase 30 being adhered to the surface of the finger ring. As a result, users wear a finger ring with the finger spinner of the present invention and the finger spinner adhered on the finger ring is capable of spinning in response to the external force apply by manual operations or winds. One skilled in the art will understand that the embodiment of the present invention as shown in the drawings and described above is exemplary only and not intended to be limiting, the finger spinner can be coupled with a finger ring by various means. - According to the first preferred embodiment of the present invention, as shown in
FIG. 8 , an alternative mode of the first preferred embodiment of the present invention is illustrated. The attachingbase 30 of the finger spinner in the alternative mode of the first preferred embodiment further comprises an O-shapedring end 34 extended from the attachingbottom 32. The O-shapedring end 34 of the attachingbase 30 is adapted for wearing on the finger, so that the finger spinner in the alternative mode is used as a finger ring. - According to the first preferred embodiment of the present invention, as shown in
FIG. 9 , another alternative mode of the first preferred embodiment of the present invention is illustrated. The attachingbase 30 of the finger spinner in the alternative mode of the first preferred embodiment further comprises a C-shapedring end 34A extended from the attachingbottom 32. The C-shapedring end 34A of the attachingbase 30 is adapted for wearing on the fingers with different sizes, so that the finger spinner in the alternative mode is used as an adjustable finger ring. - As shown in
FIG. 10 andFIG. 11 of the drawings, the finger spinner is capable of being attached to the nail surfaces of fingers. - According to the first preferred embodiment of the present invention, as shown in
FIG. 10 , the finger spinner is implemented as an attentional control training tool for kids and teenagers. The attachingbase 30 of the finger spinner of the present of the invention as shown inFIG. 10 of the drawings is supported by anail surface 91 of a kid or a teenager. In order to prevent the finger spinner off from thenail surface 91, the kid or the teenager has to concentrate on the finger spinner and has to keep balance of the finger spinner on thenail surface 91. During the process, the finger muscle and the neuronal association between the brain and the finger are exercised and enhanced, and the attentional control and the self-control of the kid or the teenager are trained well after multiple use of the finger spinner. The finger spinner is easy to carry and can be used in any places and at any time. One skilled in the art will understand that the finger spinner of the embodiment of the present invention also can be used by adults for the attentional control training. - According to the first preferred embodiment of the present invention, as shown in
FIG. 11 , the finger spinner of the embodiment of the present invention can be easily driving to be self-spin in a stably manner by the airflow. As the spinningvanes 22 of the spinningelement 20 are symmetrical connected around the spinningbody 21 and the overall finger spinner is designed as a mini-type with light weight, the finger spinner is steadily supported on thenail surface 91 during the spinning process. It is worth mentioning that the finger spinner is still capable of being steadily supported on thenail surface 91 under a concentrated airflow provided from asucker 92. - According to the first preferred embodiment of the present invention, as shown in
FIG. 12 andFIG. 13 of the drawings, another alternative mode of the first preferred embodiment of the present invention is illustrated. In this alternative mode of the first preferred embodiment of the present invention, the surfaces of thecentral pivot element 10, the spinningelement 20 and the attachingbase 30 of the finger spinner are all coated with anluminous coating 40, so that the finger spinner is visible in a dark environment. In other words, the finger spinner of the alternative mode as shown inFIG. 12 andFIG. 13 can be used as a concentration meditation tool. For example, as shown inFIG. 13 of the drawings, the finger spinner coated with theluminous coating 40 is placed or affixed to thenail surface 91 in a dark environment. The finger spinner gives out light in the darkness and people can be easy to only concentrate on the luminous finger spinner so as to quickly enter a deep meditative state to relieve himself or herself. If the finger spinner coated with theluminous coating 40 is just placed on thenail surface 91 in the dark environment, the effects are more obvious as people have to be more concentrated on the finger spinner to prevent the finger spinner off from thenail surface 91, thereby more quickly eliminating distractions of minds to enter the deep meditative state to relieve. One skilled in the art will understand that finger spinner coated with theluminous coating 40 in other embodiment of the present invention can also increase artistic appearance and attractiveness of the finger spinner which is used as the nail decoration for female. - Referring to
FIG. 14 toFIG. 17 of the drawings, a finger spinner according to a second preferred embodiment is illustrated, wherein the finger spinner comprises acentral pivot element 10′, a spinningelement 20′ pivoted around thecentral pivot element 10′ and an attachingbase 30′ supporting thecentral pivot element 10′, wherein the attachingbase 30′ provided in the finger spinner is capable of being attached to a C-shape, O-shape ring or the nail surface. Preferably, thecentral pivot element 10′ is fixable connected with the attachingbase 30′ in a bolting manner. - Specifically, the
central pivot element 10′ further comprises a limiting top 11′ and apivoting column 12′ connected with the limiting top 11′. The spinningelement 20′ further comprises a spinningbody 21′ and at least two spinningvanes 22′ symmetrical connected around the spinningbody 21′. The spinningbody 21′ forms acentral hole 210′ in the center. The pivotingcolumn 12′ rotatably pentrates through the spinningbody 21′ via thecentral hole 210′ and is supported by the attachingbase 30′. Preferably, in this second preferred embodiment of the present invention, the spinningbody 21′ is coupled with the pivotingcolumn 12′ in a sleeve connection. Preferably, a cross sectional size of thecentral hole 210′ is smaller than a cross sectional size of the attachingbase 30′. - In response to the actuation of an external force, the spinning
element 20′ is pivoted around thecentral pivot element 10′ on the attachingbase 30′. Specifically, in response to the external force apply by manual operations or winds, the spinningvanes 22′ are automatically rotated with the spinningbody 21′, so that the spinningelement 20′ is pivoted around thecentral pivot element 10′. - More specifically, the attaching
base 30 further comprises abase wall 31′ and an attaching bottom 32′ connected with thebase wall 31′, wherein thebase wall 31′ and the attaching bottom 32′ form a supportingcavity 33′ and a bottom end of the pivotingcolumn 12′ is received in the supportingcavity 33′, so that the supportingcavity 33′ limits a pivoting space of the pivotingcolumn 12′ of thecentral pivot element 10′, thereby the spinningelement 20′ being stably pivoted around thecentral pivot element 10′. Preferably, a cross sectional size of the bottom end of the pivotingcolumn 12′ is slightly smaller than a cross sectional size of the supportingcavity 33′. - More specifically, the number of the spinning
vanes 22′ can be implemented as two, three or more. For example, in other alternative mode of the second preferred embodiment, the spinningelement 20′ comprises one spinningbody 21′ and two spinningvanes 22′. The twospinning vanes 22′ are arranged at a 180° angle interval with each other and symmetrical connected to the spinningbody 21′ so as to keep the overall balance of the spinningelement 20′. In this second preferred embodiment of the present invention, the spinningelement 20′ comprises one spinningbody 21′ and three spinningvanes 22′. The threespinning vanes 22′ are equilateral triangularly arranged around thecentral spinning body 21′ so as to keep the overall balance of the spinningelement 20′, so that the force of friction generated during the rotating process of the spinningelement 20′ is reduced, thereby extending the spinning time of the finger spinner of the present invention. vanes 22′ of the spinningelement 20′ forms avane hole 220′ in the center so as to reduce the weight of each of the spinningvanes 22′, so that the overall weight of the spinningelement 20′ is reduced and the spinning time of the finger spinner of the present invention is extended. - It is worth mentioning that each of the spinning
vanes 22′ of the spinningelement 20′ has edge blend of outside and inside profile, so that when the finger spinner of the present invention is spinning, the spinningvanes 22′ of the spinningelement 20′ cannot scratch users, thereby ensuring safety. - It is worth mentioning that a cross sectional size of the limiting top 11′ is smaller than a cross sectional size of the attaching
base 30′ so as to prevent the spinningvanes 22′ of the spinningelement 20′ being off from the pivotingcolumn 12′. - It is worth mentioning that in this second preferred embodiment of the present invention, preferably, the attaching bottom 32′ is indented toward the supporting
cavity 33′ so as to form a curved bottom of the attachingbase 30′. The radian of the curved bottom of the attachingbase 30′ is matched with the radian of the nail surface, so that the bottom of the finger spinner is better fit to a finger ring or a nail surface. Preferably, the attaching bottom 32′ of the attachingbase 30′ has viciousness so as to be affixed to the finger ring or the nail surface by adhesive, so that the finger spinner is not easy to be detached off from the finger ring or the nail surface. - According to the second preferred embodiment of the present invention, as shown in
FIG. 16 , the finger spinner is coupled with an O-shapedfinger ring 91′ by the attaching bottom 32′ of the attachingbase 30′attaching to the outer surface of the O-shapedfinger ring 91′. According to the second preferred embodiment of the present invention, as shown inFIG. 17 , the finger spinner is coupled with a C-shapedfinger ring 92′ by the attaching bottom 32′ of the attachingbase 30′attaching to the outer surface of the C-shapedfinger ring 92′. One skilled in the art will understand that the embodiment of the present invention as shown in the drawings and described above is exemplary only and not intended to be limiting, the finger spinner can also be coupled with the finger ring by other means in other embodiment. - One skilled in the art will understand that the embodiment of the present invention as shown in the drawings and described above is exemplary only and not intended to be limiting.
- It will thus be seen that the objects of the present invention have been fully and effectively accomplished. The embodiments have been shown and described for the purposes of illustrating the functional and structural principles of the present invention and is subject to change without departure from such principles. Therefore, this invention includes all modifications encompassed within the spirit and scope of the following claims.
