Abstract
The present invention exposes a water level control device of a humidifier comprises a water tank and a base of the humidifier, wherein a steam generation cavity is set in the base; the water tank comprises a drain hole with a floating block above; the steam generation cavity is formed with the water level control device that comprises a limiting cover connected with the drain valve in a sleeving mode, a water outlet is formed in the top of the limiting cover with a floating block inside; a leakage hole plug is arranged at the water outlet; when the floating block contacts with the leakage hole plug, the water outlet is blocked for stopping draining; otherwise, the floating block leaves the leakage hole plug, and the water outlet is opened for water supplement. This device can control water supplement in time, users can use it safely.
Description
- The present invention relates to the field of steam household appliances, in particular to a water level control device of a humidifier and a humidifier using the water level control device.
- With the development of science and technology, the living standard of people is improved increasingly, and the requirement of people upon the living environment is improved gradually. Air humidity is one of the important factors influencing comfort, particularly in the northern area of China and in places air conditioners are used for a long time, as the environment is extremely dry, corresponding equipment needs to be used for increasing the air humidity and providing a comfortable living environment through regulation. Therefore, household humidification equipment is more and more popular with families and is one of indispensable household appliances for home furnishing.
- A humidifier on the present market is generally composed of a water tank and a base, the base is provided with a steam generation cavity, the water tank supplies water to the steam generation cavity, and mist is generated under the effect of a generator of the base. The humidifier in the prior art is generally of a downward water adding type, and both a water adding hole and a water outlet valve of the downward water adding type humidifier are arranged on the bottom of the water tank. Before the downward water adding type humidifier is used, the water tank needs to be dismounted from the base firstly, then the water tank is overturned to make the bottom of the water tank face upwards, the water tank is filled with water through the water adding hole after the water outlet valve is unscrewed, the water outlet valve is screwed afterwards, the water tank is mounted on the base again and connected with the steam generation cavity, and finally humidification is started. Obviously, the whole water adding process is extremely complex, the water tank is quite heavy after being filled with water, and operation is extremely inconvenient.
- For this reason, an upward water adding type humidifier is sold on the market, before the upward water adding type humidifier is used, water can be added directly through a water adding cover arranged on the upper portion of a water tank, the water tank does not need to be dismounted any more, and humidification can be started through water adding operation on the bottom; the upward water adding type humidifier is simple in structure and convenient and easy to use and gradually replaces the downward water adding type humidifier accordingly.
- As for the upward water adding type humidifier, since the pressure intensity in the water tank is influenced by atmospheric pressure, overflowing easily occurs between the water tank and a base of the humidifier, and for keeping the normal working state of the humidifier, a water level control device for effectively controlling water supplement needs to be arranged. A water level control device in the prior art is generally of a lever type or an electromagnetic valve type; as for the lever type water level control device, since a floating block connected with one end of a lever needs to be arranged, a large internal space is occupied by the transversely-arranged lever, the triggering speed is low, water supplement cannot be controlled in time, and the water level control effect is poor; as for the electromagnetic valve type water level control device, although the response speed is high, a switch is started frequently due to the fact that triggering is excessively sensitive and is prone to being damaged consequentially, the structure is complex, and power consumption is extremely high. Therefore, study on water level control devices for existing upward water adding type humidifiers is still a challenge for all manufacturers.
- The present invention aims to provide a novel water level control device of a humidifier and a humidifier using the water level control device. The water level control device is simple in structure and small in occupied space, water supplement control can be conducted in time according to the actual water level condition of a steam generation cavity, the triggering effect is accurate, electric energy is saved, the situation that overflowing easily happens to the humidifier, or water shortage and dryout occur is effectively avoided, and a user can use the humidifier safely.
- According to the technical scheme adopted by the present invention for achieving the above purpose:
- A water level control device of a humidifier comprises a water tank and a base of the humidifier, wherein a steam generation cavity is formed in the base; the water tank is provided with a drain hole, and a drain valve is arranged at the drain hole; the steam generation cavity is provided with the water level control device connected with the drain valve in a sleeving mode, the water level control device comprises a limiting cover with the circumferential wall being open, a water outlet is formed in the top of the limiting cover, and a floating block is arranged inside the limiting cover; a leakage hole plug is arranged at the water outlet, and the bottom of the leakage hole plug is a contact part making contact with the floating block; the floating block moves up and down in the limiting cover along with changes of the water level, and when the floating block makes contact with the leakage hole plug, the water outlet is blocked for stopping draining; otherwise, the floating block is separated from the leakage hole plug, and the water outlet is opened for water supplement.
- Compared with the prior art, the water level control device of the humidifier of the present invention is provided with the limiting cover and the floating block arranged between the steam generation cavity and the drain valve, the circumferential wall of the limiting cover is open, the water outlet is formed in the top of the limiting cover, the leakage hole plug is arranged at the water outlet, and the bottom of the leakage hole plug is a contact part making contact with the floating block. The movement range of the floating block is limited through the limiting cover, the floating block is made to move up and down in the limiting cover along with changes of the water level in the steam generation cavity, and when the floating block makes contact with the leakage hole plug, the water outlet is blocked for stopping draining; otherwise, the floating block is separated from the leakage hole plug, and the water outlet is opened for water supplement.
- Compared with the lever type water level control device, the water level control device of the present invention is simpler in structure and small in occupied space, the floating block is limited by the limiting cover to move up and down along with changes of the water level, the floating block is matched with the contact part of the leakage hole plug to block or open the water outlet, and thus the draining quantity is controlled; in addition, maintenance and replacement are convenient, and the whole water level control device can be dismounted to be cleaned easily.
- Compared with the electromagnetic valve type water level control device, the water level control device of the present invention is simpler in structure and can save electric energy, water supplement control is conducted in time according to the actual water level condition of the steam generation cavity, triggering is timely, the situation that a switch is damaged due to frequent starting is avoided, and both energy saving and environmental friendliness are achieved; in addition, electric connection is reduced, short circuits or electric leakage risks are effectively avoided, and maintenance, replacement, dismounting and cleaning are convenient.
- Therefore, according to the water level control device of the humidifier of the present invention, the movement range of the floating block is limited through the limiting cover, and the floating block is matched with the leakage hole plug at the water outlet in the limiting cover so that the water level in the steam generation cavity can be controlled effectively, water supplement control is conducted in time to guarantee that the humidifier keeps atomization operation for generating mist, the situation that overflowing easily happens to the humidifier, or water shortage and dryout occur is effectively avoided, and a user can use the humidifier safely.
- The shape of the limiting cover is further improved, the limiting cover is a cage with the circumferential wall being open and comprises an upper cover, the circumferential wall and a bottom cover, wherein the upper cover is provided with the water outlet, and the circumferential wall is provided with a water leakage grid; the floating block is limited in the limiting cover to move up and down and makes contact with or is separated from the leakage hole plug at the water outlet through the top of the floating block. The whole floating block is wrapped in the cage-shaped limiting cover with the circumferential wall being open, on the one hand, the limiting cover and the floating block are integrated so that the limiting cover and the floating block can be dismounted together to be cleaned or replaced and maintained, and on the other hand, since the floating block is limited in the limiting cover to move up and down, compared with a limiting cover which is only a partially-wrapping cover body structure in the prior art, accurate alignment of the top of the floating block and the leakage hole plug at the water outlet can be further enhanced, and the coaxiality of the top of the floating block and the leakage hole plug at the water outlet can be improved easily.
- Furthermore, the leakage hole plug is a circular sealing ring and is arranged in the water outlet annularly; the contact part of the leakage hole plug extends downwards, and the shape of the contact part is matched with the surface contour of the floating block, the contact surfaces of the floating block and the contact part are integrally matched and are in contact to seal the water outlet, and thus draining is stopped.
- The shape of the floating block is further improved, a conical end is arranged on the top of the floating block, and the contact part of the leakage hole plug is a flared opening. In practical application, the floating block moves up and down in the limiting cover along with changes of the water level, and when the water level rises, the floating block moves upwards and makes contact with the contact part of flared opening through the conical end, and the water outlet is blocked for stopping draining; when the water level falls, the floating block moves downwards, the end of the floating block is separated from the contact part, the water outlet is opened, water is supplemented into the steam generation cavity, water supplement control is efficiently conducted accordingly, a proper water quantity in the steam generation cavity is guaranteed, and the situation of overflowing or dryout is avoided.
- Furthermore, a groove is formed in the bottom of the floating block, the size of the limiting cover is matched with that of the floating block, and a positioning column extending upwards is arranged on the bottom of the limiting cover; the position of the positioning column is matched with that of the contact part, and the positioning column is connected into the groove of the floating block in a sleeved mode. For calibrating the relative positions of the end of the floating block and the contact part, the structure of the floating block of the water level control device of the present invention is improved, the groove is formed in the bottom of the floating block, the positioning column which extends upwards and is matched with the contact part in position is arranged on the bottom of the limiting cover, the positioning column is connected into the groove of the floating block in the sleeved mode, so that the movement range of the floating block is limited, the floating block is only allowed to move up and down under the limitation of the limiting cover and is prevented from deviating, the end of the floating block is accurately aligned to the contact part, and accordingly the water outlet is blocked or opened for achieving water level control.
- As for another improvement of the shape of the floating block, the floating block is a spherical floating ball, and the contact part of the leakage hole plug is an arc opening. The floating block in the floating ball shape can make contact with the contact part of the arc opening through any spherical surface, and thus the contact area is enlarged; the floating ball can make contact with the contact part of the arc opening through the spherical surface after moving upwards to the contact part, and the water outlet is blocked; after the water level falls, the floating ball moves downwards, the spherical surface is separated from the contact part, and the water outlet is opened for water supplement. In this way, the overall structure of the water level control device is made simpler, cost is reduced, and production quality is improved.
- The present invention further provides a humidifier using the water level control device. The humidifier comprises a shell, wherein a water tank and a base are arranged in the shell, a steam generation cavity and a fan are arranged in the base, and the steam generation cavity is provided with a generator; the shell is provided with an upper cover, and the upper cover is provided with a mist spraying hole; the water tank is provided with a drain hole, and a drain valve is arranged at the drain hole; the steam generation cavity is provided with the water level control device which is connected with the drain valve in a sleeving mode, and the quantity of water entering the steam generation cavity is controlled.
- Furthermore, the water tank is detachably connected to the base, a mist discharging bucket is further arranged in the water tank, and a mist outlet communicating with the mist spraying hole is formed in the top of the mist discharging bucket; when the water tank is mounted in the shell and connected with the base, the drain valve is connected with the water level control device in a sleeved mode, and thus the mist discharging bucket is made to be located above the steam generation cavity. Through the design of the detachable water tank, water adding operation by a user is facilitated, the water tank is pulled out for water adding and then is mounted inside the humidifier for atomization, the situation that water splashes and overflows out of the humidifier when directly added into the humidifier is avoided, and environmental sanitation and using safety are ensured.
- Furthermore, the drain valve comprises a water blocking cover, a positioning ring, a spring and an ejection rod, wherein the positioning ring is arranged in the drain hole; the ejection rod penetrates through the positioning ring to be connected with the water blocking cover; a stress end which can be stressed to drive the ejection rod to move up and down is arranged on the bottom of the ejection rod; the spring is connected with the ejection rod in a sleeving mode and elastically makes contact with the ejection rod between the positioning ring and the stress end. Since the water tank is detachable, when the water tank is dismounted from the base, the drain valve moves downwards along with gravitational force, the water blocking cover and the ejection rod are made to move downwards, the drain hole is blocked, and a user can securely add water into the water tank.
- Based on the above description, an ejection column is further arranged at the water outlet of the limiting cover; when the water tank is connected with the base, the ejection column makes contact with the stress end of the ejection rod to eject the ejection rod, and the drain valve is made to be in an open state. During actual operation, when the water tank is mounted back onto the base after the user adds water into the water tank, the ejection column is arranged at the water outlet of the limiting cover and makes contact with the stress end of the ejection rod of the drain valve, the ejection rod is ejected accordingly to make the drain valve be in the open state, and thus water in the water tank can enter the water outlet of the limiting cover.
- The structure of the water tank is further improved, a filter cover covering the drain valve is further arranged in the water tank, and a filter grid is arranged on the filter cover, so that the situation that impurities in the water tank enter the drain valve, and consequentially blockage is caused is avoided, and water can be drained more smoothly.

FIG. 9 is asectional view 2 of the humidifier of the present invention. - Descriptions of a water level control device of a humidifier and a humidifier using the water level control device of the present invention are given with accompanying drawings.
- As is shown in
FIGS. 1-2 , a humidifier comprises ashell 1, wherein awater tank 11 and abase 12 are arranged in the shell, asteam generation cavity 2 and afan 13 are arranged in thebase 12, and thesteam generation cavity 2 is provided with a generator; theshell 1 is provided with anupper cover 14, and theupper cover 14 is provided with amist spraying hole 141; thewater tank 11 is provided with adrain hole 110, and adrain valve 3 is arranged at thedrain hole 110; thesteam generation cavity 2 is provided with a water level control device which is connected with thedrain valve 3 in a sleeving mode, and the quantity of water entering thesteam generation cavity 2 is controlled. - As is shown in
FIG. 3 , the water level control device comprises alimiting cover 4 with the circumferential wall being open, awater outlet 41 is formed in the top of the limitingcover 4, and afloating block 5 is arranged inside the limitingcover 4; aleakage hole plug 6 is arranged at thewater outlet 41, and the bottom of theleakage hole plug 6 is acontact part 61 making contact with thefloating block 5; thefloating block 5 moves up and down in thelimiting cover 4 along with changes of the water level, and when thefloating block 5 makes contact with theleakage hole plug 6, thewater outlet 41 is blocked for stopping draining; otherwise, thefloating block 5 is separated from theleakage hole plug 6, and thewater outlet 41 is opened for water supplement. In this way, atomization operation of the humidifier is kept for generating mist, the situation that overflowing easily happens to the humidifier, or water shortage and dryout occur is effectively avoided, and a user can use the humidifier safely. - As is shown in
FIGS. 4-5 , thelimiting cover 4 is preferably a cage with the circumferential wall being open and comprises anupper cover 401, thecircumferential wall 402 and abottom cover 403, wherein theupper cover 401 is provided with thewater outlet 41, and thecircumferential wall 402 is provided with a water leakage grid; thefloating block 5 is limited in thelimiting cover 4 to move up and down and makes contact with or is separated from theleakage hole plug 6 at thewater outlet 41 through the top of thefloating block 5. On the one hand, the wholefloating block 5 is wrapped in the cage-shaped limitingcover 4 with the circumferential wall being open, and the limitingcover 4 and thefloating block 5 are integrated so that thelimiting cover 4 and thefloating block 5 can be dismounted together to be cleaned or replaced and maintained; on the other hand, since thefloating block 5 is limited in thelimiting cover 4 to move up and down, compared with alimiting cover 4 which is only a partially-wrapping cover body structure in the prior art, accurate alignment of the top of thefloating block 5 and theleakage hole plug 6 at thewater outlet 41 can be further enhanced, and the coaxiality of the top of thefloating block 5 and theleakage hole plug 6 at thewater outlet 41 can be improved easily. - Wherein, as is shown in
FIG. 3 , theleakage hole plug 6 is a circular sealing ring and is arranged in thewater outlet 41 annularly; thecontact part 61 of theleakage hole plug 6 extends downwards, and the shape of thecontact part 61 is matched with the surface contour of thefloating block 5, the contact surfaces of thefloating block 5 and thecontact part 6 are integrally matched and are in contact to seal thewater outlet 41, and thus draining is stopped. - A
conical end 51 is arranged on the top of thefloating block 5, and thecontact part 61 of theleakage hole plug 6 is a flared opening. When the water level rises, thefloating block 5 moves upwards and makes contact with thecontact part 61 of the flared opening through theconical end 51, and thewater outlet 41 is blocked for stopping draining; when the water level falls, thefloating block 5 moves downwards, theend 51 of thefloating block 5 is separated from thecontact part 61, thewater outlet 41 is opened for water supplement, water supplement control is achieve, a proper water quantity in thesteam generation cavity 2 is guaranteed, and the situation of overflowing or dryout is avoided. - For achieving position calibration of the
end 51 of thefloating block 5 and thecontact part 61, the structure of thefloating block 5 of the water level control device of the present invention is improved. As is shown inFIG. 6 , agroove 52 is formed in the bottom of thefloating block 5, the size of thelimiting cover 4 is matched with that of thefloating block 5, and apositioning column 42 extending upwards is arranged at the bottom of thelimiting cover 4; the position of thepositioning column 42 is matched with that of thecontact part 61, and thepositioning column 42 is connected into thegroove 52 of thefloating block 5 in a sleeved mode to limit the movement range of thefloating block 5, thefloating block 5 is only allowed to move up and down under the limitation of thelimiting cover 42 and is prevented from deviating, and theend 51 of thefloating block 5 is accurately aligned to thecontact part 61 to block or open thewater outlet 41 for achieving water level control. - According to another embodiment of the shape of the
floating block 5 of the water level control device of the present invention, as is shown inFIG. 7 , thefloating block 5 is a spherical floating ball, and thecontact part 61 of theleakage hole plug 6 is an arc opening. The floatingblock 5 in the floating ball shape can make contact with thecontact part 61 of the arc opening through any spherical surface, and thus the contact area is enlarged. The floatingblock 5 can make contact with thecontact part 61 of the arc opening through the spherical surface after moving upwards to thecontact part 61, and thewater outlet 41 is blocked; after the water level falls, the floatingball 5 moves downwards, the spherical surface is separated from thecontact part 61, and thewater outlet 41 is opened for water supplement. The overall structure of the water level control device is made simpler, cost is reduced, and production quality is improved. - On the other hand, the structure of the water tank is optimized, as is shown in
FIG. 2 , thewater tank 11 is detachably connected to thebase 12, amist discharging bucket 7 is further arranged in thewater tank 11, and amist outlet 71 communicating with themist spraying hole 141 is formed in the top of themist discharging bucket 7; when thewater tank 11 is mounted in theshell 1 and connected with thebase 12, thedrain valve 3 is connected with the water level control device in a sleeved mode, and thus themist discharging bucket 7 is made to be located above thesteam generation cavity 2. Through the design of thedetachable water tank 11, water adding operation by a user is facilitated, thewater tank 11 is pulled out for water adding and then is mounted inside the humidifier for atomization, the situation that water splashes and overflows out of the humidifier when directly added into the humidifier is avoided, and environmental sanitation and using safety are ensured. - Wherein, as is shown in
FIG. 8 , thedrain valve 3 comprises awater blocking cover 31, apositioning ring 32, aspring 33 and anejection rod 34, wherein thepositioning ring 32 is arranged in thedrain hole 110; theejection rod 34 penetrates through thepositioning ring 32 to be connected with thewater blocking cover 31; astress end 340 which can be stressed to drive theejection rod 34 to move up and down is arranged on the bottom of theejection rod 34; thespring 33 is connected with theejection rod 34 in a sleeving mode and elastically makes contact with theejection rod 34 between thepositioning ring 32 and thestress end 340. Since thewater tank 11 is detachable, when thewater tank 11 is dismounted from thebase 12, thedrain valve 3 moves downwards along with gravitational force, thewater blocking cover 31 and theejection rod 34 are made to move downwards to block thedrain hole 110, and a user can securely add water into thewater tank 11. - Based on the above description, an
ejection column 43 is further arranged at thewater outlet 41 of the limitingcover 4; when thewater tank 11 is connected with thebase 12, theejection column 43 makes contact with thestress end 340 of theejection rod 34 to eject theejection rod 34, and thedrain valve 3 is made to be in an open state. During actual operation, when thewater tank 11 is mounted back onto the base 12 after the user adds water into thewater tank 11, theejection column 43 is arranged at thewater outlet 41 of the limitingcover 4 and makes contact with thestress end 340 of theejection rod 34 of thedrain valve 3, theejection rod 34 is ejected accordingly to make thewater blocking cover 31 open thedrain hole 110 thedrain valve 3 is made in the open state, and thus water in thewater tank 11 can enter thewater outlet 41 of the limitingcover 4. - Preferably, as is shown in
FIG. 9 , afilter cover 8 covering thedrain valve 3 is further arranged in thewater tank 11, and afilter grid 81 is arranged on thefilter cover 8, so that the situation that impurities in thewater tank 11 enter thedrain valve 3, and consequentially blockage is caused is avoided, and water can be drained more smoothly. - Those skilled in the art can change and modify the above embodiment according to the disclosure and instruction in the description. Therefore, the present invention is not limited to the specific embodiment disclosed and described in the description, and certain modifications and changes of the present invention also should be within the protection scope of the claims of the present invention. In addition, although certain terms are used in the description, these terms are only used for a convenient introduction and do not limit the present invention at all.

1: A water level control device of a humidifier, comprising a water tank and a base of the humidifier, wherein a steam generation cavity is formed in the base, the water tank is provided with a drain hole, and a drain valve is arranged at the drain hole; characterized in that the steam generation cavity is provided with the water level control device connected with the drain valve in a sleeving mode, the water level control device comprises a limiting cover with the circumferential wall being open, a water outlet is formed in the top of the limiting cover, and a floating block is arranged inside the limiting cover; a leakage hole plug is arranged at the water outlet, and the bottom of the leakage hole plug is a contact part making contact with the floating block; the floating block moves up and down in the limiting cover along with changes of the water level, and when the floating block makes contact with the leakage hole plug, the water outlet is blocked for stopping draining; otherwise, the floating block is separated from the leakage hole plug, and the water outlet is opened for water supplement.
2: The water level control device according to claim 1 , characterized in that the limiting cover is a cage with the circumferential wall being open and comprises an upper cover, the circumferential wall and a bottom cover, wherein the upper cover is provided with the water outlet, and the circumferential wall is provided with a water leakage grid; the floating block is limited in the limiting cover to move up and down and makes contact with or is separated from the leakage hole plug at the water outlet through the top of the floating block.
3: The water level control device according to claim 1 , characterized in that the leakage hole plug is a circular sealing ring and is arranged in the water outlet annularly; the contact part of the leakage hole plug extends downwards, and the shape of the contact part is matched with the surface contour of the floating block.
4: The water level control device according to claim 3 , characterized in that a conical end is arranged on the top of the floating block, and the contact part of the leakage hole plug is a flared opening.
5: The water level control device according to claim 4 , characterized in that a groove is formed in the bottom of the floating block, the size of the limiting cover is matched with that of the floating block, and a positioning column extending upwards is arranged on the bottom of the limiting cover; the position of the positioning column is matched with that of the contact part, and the positioning column is connected into the groove of the floating block in a sleeved mode.
6: The water level control device according to claim 3 , characterized in that the floating block is a spherical floating ball, and the contact part of the leakage hole plug is an arc opening.
7: A humidifier, comprising a shell, wherein a water tank and a base are arranged in the shell, a steam generation cavity and a fan are arranged in the base, and the steam generation cavity is provided with a generator; the shell is provided with an upper cover, and the upper cover is provided with a mist spraying hole; the water tank is provided with a drain hole, and a drain valve is arranged at the drain hole; characterized in that the steam generation cavity is provided with the water level control device according to claim 1 , and the water level control device is connected with the drain valve in a sleeving mode and controls the quantity of water entering the steam generation cavity.
8: The humidifier according to claim 7 , characterized in that the water tank is detachably connected to the base, a mist discharging bucket is further arranged in the water tank, and a mist outlet communicating with the mist spraying hole is formed in the top of the mist discharging bucket; when the water tank is mounted in the shell and connected with the base, the drain valve is connected with the water level control device in a sleeved mode, and accordingly the mist discharging bucket is located above the steam generation cavity.
9: The humidifier according to claim 8 , characterized in that the drain valve comprises a water blocking cover, a positioning ring, a spring and an ejection rod, and the positioning ring is arranged in the drain hole; the ejection rod penetrates through the positioning ring to be connected with the water blocking cover; a stress end which is stressed to drive the ejection rod to move up and down is arranged on the bottom of the ejection rod; the spring is connected with the ejection rod in a sleeving mode and elastically makes contact with the ejection rod between the positioning ring and the stress end.
10: The humidifier according to claim 9 , characterized in that an ejection column is further arranged at the water outlet of the limiting cover; when the water tank is connected with the base, the ejection column makes contact with the stress end of the ejection rod to eject the ejection rod, and the drain valve is made to be in an open state.
11: The humidifier according to claim 7 , characterized in that a filter cover covering the drain valve is further arranged in the water tank, and a filter grid is arranged on the filter cover.
