Abstract
Description
- The present invention is related to pants, and more particularly, the present invention relates to pants with an auxiliary supportive-crotch.
- With the increasing demand of modern people for quality of life, the designs of various articles of personal clothing are undergoing continuous improvement to meet comfort requirements. However, in the design of underpants for men, the special and variable structure of the external male genitals limits the range of innovation. As a result, the extant designs of men's underwear have several notable deficiencies.
- In the case of briefs for men, the genitals are better secured but the ventilation is less than satisfactory, leading to health concerns. Although boxer shorts solve the ventilation problem, boxer shorts cannot support the weight of the scrotum and penis effectively, so the scrotum and penis are neither supported nor secured.
- In addition, the penis can vary in size or volume during the span of a day, and such changes may be visible as a bulge in the surface of the clothing Obvious movements caused by partial or complete engorgement of the penis can cause embarrassment to the user.
- Patent JP2007-070785 discloses men's underwear for accommodating and securing the penis by a genitals accommodating portion. However, the design of Patent JP2007-070785 cannot effectively support the weight of the scrotum. In addition, because the design of Patent JP2007-070785 applies a traditional cotton material to cover the penis, no breathable space is available for the penis. Thus, the design of Patent JP2007-070785 cannot provide overall breathability for the genitals.
- Patent CN201479935 discloses an absorbent isolation layer and a scrotum accommodating space to solve concerns about health and poor breathability. However, the design of Patent CN201479935 provides neither a breathable space for the penis nor support for the weight of the scrotum.
- Patent CN202857839 provides a breathable shell mold for accommodating a penis and a scrotum in underwear for covering the penis and scrotum. However, the breathable shell mold is not flexible. The design of Patent CN202857839 has a limited accommodating space for the genitals and may not be comfortable for the user.
- U.S. Pat. No. 2,446,326 discloses pants with an inner crotch. However, because the inner crotch covers the genitals entirely, the inner crotch can be considered as briefs sewn into boxer shorts, and this design cannot provide overall breathability for the genitals. In addition, the inner crotch provides neither sufficient space to accommodate the genitals nor any support for the genitals.
- U.S. Pat. No. 6,820,284 discloses a supporting element configured in men's underwear for supporting male genitals. However, the design of U.S. Pat. No. 6,820,284 still applies the traditional cotton material of underwear to cover the genitals and cannot provide overall breathability for the genitals. On the other hand, although the supporting element can provide some support for the genitals, the underwear still cannot provide sufficient space for accommodating the genitals. In addition, the design of U.S. Pat. No. 6,820,284 further cannot conceal physiological changes of the male genitals.
- Patent US2010/0058517 also discloses underwear with an inner crotch used for supporting male genitals. Similarly, the design of Patent US2010/0058517 also applies the traditional cotton material of underwear to cover the penis and cannot provide overall breathability for the genitals. In addition, although the inner crotch can provide some support for the genitals, the underwear still cannot provide sufficient space for accommodating the genitals. In addition, the design of Patent US2010/0058517 further cannot conceal physiological changes of the male genitals.
- Patent US2005/0235399 further discloses underwear with an inner crotch, and the inner crotch can be integrated with a scrotum bag to accommodate and support male genitals. Although the design of the inner crotch integrated with the scrotum bag can provide some support for the genitals, the underwear still cannot provide sufficient space for accommodating the genitals. In addition, the design of Patent US2005/0235399 further cannot conceal physiological changes of the male genitals. Furthermore, this design includes an opening in the inner crotch and a scrotum bag with breathable holes sewn into the opening for supporting the genitals. The manufacturing process of Patent US2005/0235399 is complicated and requires much manufacturing time. Furthermore, although the design of Patent US2005/0235399 can provide supporting and breathing effects, it still cannot provide a breathable accommodating space for the penis.
- Patent US2010/0058517 also discloses an underwear garment with an underpants portion (inner crotch); one end of the underpants portion is connected to the inner side of the front portion, and another end (further tract) of the underpants portion is connected to the rear portion. This design might solve the problem of physiological changes of the male genitals. However, because the aforementioned another end (further tract) is arranged between the crotch and the upper edge of the rear portion, the structure of the rear portion would be broken by the stitching and easily damaged.
- From the above, it is clear that the men's pants of the prior art cannot provide overall securing, supporting, durability and breathability effects for genitals, low manufacturing costs, or sufficient space for accommodating the genitals. In addition, the previous men's pants further cannot conceal physiological changes of the male genitals. Therefore, the men's pants of the prior art have to be improved.
- The main object of the present invention is to provide pants which can provide overall securing, supporting, durability and breathability effects for male genitals, low manufacturing costs, and sufficient space for accommodating the genitals and which can conceal physiological changes of the male genitals.
- To achieve the abovementioned and other objects, the present invention provides pants including a main body and an auxiliary supportive-crotch. The main body includes a first piece and a second piece, with the first piece and the second piece being sewn together with each other to constitute a waist wearing-portion, two leg wearing-portions and one central-portion. The central-portion is located between the two leg wearing-portions and has a first connecting region and a second connecting region. The first connecting region is located at an inner upper edge of the first piece, and the second connecting region is located at the seam of the first piece and the second piece. The auxiliary supportive-crotch includes a first connecting end and a second connecting end. The first connecting end is connected to the inner upper edge of the first piece and the first connecting region of the central-portion. The second connecting end is connected to the second connecting region of the central-portion. The first piece has a first length on the central-portion, the second piece has a second length on the central-portion, and the first length is greater than the second length. The auxiliary supportive-crotch has a third length, and the first length is greater than the third length.
- In summary, the pants are made with the first piece and the second piece sewn together to constitute the waist wearing-portion, the leg wearing-portions and the central-portion. The auxiliary supportive-crotch is disposed on the central-portion to stabilize and support male genitals. The first piece has a first length on the central-portion, the second piece has a second length on the central-portion, and the auxiliary supportive-crotch has a third length. The first length is greater than the second length and the third length such that the auxiliary supportive-crotch can provide stable covering, securing, and supporting effects. Furthermore, the first piece, the second piece and the auxiliary supportive-crotch are sewn together with one another at the second connecting region to achieve the durability effect.
- It should be noted that the pants of the present invention can be applied not only in the field of underwear but also in all kinds of pants, such as beach pants, sports pants or the like, and the present invention does not have any limitation.
- These and other objects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following descriptions of the accompanying drawings, which disclose several embodiments of the present application. It is to be understood that the drawings are to be used for purposes of illustration only, and not as a definition of the invention.

FIG. 1A is a schematic drawing illustrating the pants according to one embodiment of the present invention.FIG. 1B is a front view illustrating the pants depicted inFIG. 1A .FIG. 1C is a rear view illustrating the pants depicted inFIG. 1A .FIG. 2A is a schematic drawing illustrating the pants depicted inFIG. 1A from another angle.FIG. 2B is a schematic drawing illustrating the pants depicted inFIG. 2A turned outward. Referring toFIG. 1A ,FIG. 1B ,FIG. 2A , andFIG. 2B , thepants 10 of the present embodiment comprise amain body 100 and an auxiliary supportive-crotch 200. Themain body 100 includes afirst piece 110 and asecond piece 120. In the present embodiment, thefirst piece 110 is, for example, sewn together with thesecond piece 120 by a line ofstitching 102. Thesecond piece 120 is adjacent to thefirst piece 110. The sewing connection between thefirst piece 110 and thesecond piece 120 configures a waist-wearingportion 130, two leg-wearingportions 140 and a central-portion 150, and the central-portion 150 is located between the two leg wearing-portions 140. Specifically, the waist-wearingportion 130 and the two leg-wearingportions 140 are openings, the upper edge of the central-portion 150 connects to the waist-wearingportion 130, and the bottom edge of the central-portion 150 is the seam of thefirst piece 110 andsecond piece 120. Therefore, a user's leg can enter the waist-wearingportion 130 along a wearing direction A1 through one leg-wearingportion 140, and the crotch of the user corresponds to the bottom edge of the central-portion 150. In this situation, themain body 100 is in a wearing status (also called an expanded status). - In the present embodiment, the
first piece 110 is, for example, a front-side piece, and thesecond piece 120 is, for example, a back-side piece. Therefore, the side edges of thefirst piece 110 andsecond piece 120 can be sewn together with each other by the line ofstitching 102. It should be noted that although drawings of the present embodiment are used to exemplify the underwear, the pants of the present invention can in actual application be embodied by all kinds of pants, such as beach pants, sports pants, or the like, and the present invention does not have any limitation. -
FIG. 3A is a sectional schematic drawing illustrating the pants depicted inFIG. 2A along a wearing direction in an unexpanded status, andFIG. 3B is a sectional schematic drawing illustrating the pants depicted inFIG. 3A expanded to a wearing status along an expanding direction. Referring toFIG. 3A andFIG. 3B , the central-portion 150 has a first connectingregion 151 and a second connecting region 152. In the present embodiment, the seams of the central-portion 150 with the supportive-crotch 200 are called the first connectingregion 151 and the second connecting region 152 respectively. Specifically, the first connectingregion 151 is located at an inner upper edge of thefirst piece 110; in other words, the first connectingregion 151 is close to the waist-wearingportion 130. The second connecting region 152 is located at the seam of thefirst piece 110 and thesecond piece 120; that is, the bottom edge of the central-portion 150. In addition, the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 of the present embodiment is sewn inside themain body 100. In detail, the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 includes a first connecting end 200E1 and a second connecting end 200E2. The first connecting end 200E1 is located at the end edge of the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 and is connected to the first connecting region 151 (that is, the inner upper edge of the first piece 110). The second connecting end 200E2 is located at the upper edge of the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 and is connected to a second connecting region 152 (that is, the seam of thefirst piece 110 and the second piece 120). - In other words, the second connecting end 200E2 of the auxiliary supportive-
crotch 200, the end edge 120E1 of thesecond piece 120 and the end edge 110E1 of thefirst piece 110 are sewn together at the second connecting region 152 of the central-portion 150. In the present embodiment, the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 is sewn together with thefirst piece 110 and thesecond piece 120 to increase the sewing strength such that the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 is sewn inside of themain body 100 efficiently and securely, and also to achieve a cosmetic effect. - Continuing to refer to
FIG. 3A andFIG. 3B , in the present embodiment, thefirst piece 110 has a first length L1 (represented as a thin dotted line inFIG. 3A andFIG. 3B ) on the central-portion 150, and thesecond piece 120 has a second length L2 (represented as a thick dotted line inFIG. 3A andFIG. 3B ) on the central-portion 150. Specifically, the first length L 1 is the distance between the first connectingregion 151 and the second connecting region 152; that is, the length of thefirst piece 110 on the central-portion 150. The second length L2 is the distance between the second connecting region 152 and the upper edge of thesecond piece 120; that is, the length of thesecond piece 120 on the central-portion 150. On the central-portion 150, the first length L1 is greater than the second length L2. Furthermore, the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 has a third length L3 (represented as a thin dotted line inFIG. 3A andFIG. 3B ), and the first length L1 is greater than the third length L3; that is, the third length L3 is less than the first length L1. - Because the first length L1 is greater than the second length L2 and the third length L3, when a user wears the
pants 10 of the present embodiment, the second connecting region 152 (that is, the seam of thefirst piece 110,second piece 120 and auxiliary supportive-crotch 200) can be located behind the crotch. Specifically, there is a central plane C between thefirst piece 110 and thesecond piece 120. BecauseFIG. 3A andFIG. 3B are sectional schematic drawings, the central plane C is represented as a thick dotted line. Adopting the waist-wearingportion 130 as a standard, the central plane C is a virtual plane located at the center of thefirst piece 110 and thesecond piece 120. Therefore, at the position of the waist-wearingportion 130, the distance from the central plane C to thefirst piece 110 and the distance from the central plane C to thesecond piece 120 are the same. Because the first length L1 is greater than the second length L2, the second connecting region 152 has a spacing S (as shown inFIG. 3B ) with the central plane C, and the second connecting region 152 is located close to thesecond piece 120. Therefore, when the user wears thepants 10 of the present embodiment, the second connecting region 152 is located behind the crotch of the user. Because the second connecting end 200E2 of the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 is located behind the crotch of the user, and the third length L3 of the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 is less than the first length L1 of thefirst piece 110, the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 can provide stable covering, securing, and supporting effects. The length of the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 (the third length L3) can be adjusted according to the material. Preferably, the ratio of the first length L1 to the third length L3 is between 1.2 and 1.6. - In the present embodiment, the ratio of the first length L1 to the second length L2 is between 1.08 and 1.35; in other words, the first length L 1 is 1.08 to 1.35 times that of the second length L2. Preferably, the ratio of the first length L1 to the second length L2 is between 1.15 and 1.3. In addition, it can also be defined that the difference value of the first length L1 and the second length L2 is from 4 cm to 6 cm; that is, the first length L1 is 4 cm to 6 cm longer than the second length L2. Preferably, the difference value of the first length L1 and the second length L2 is 5 cm. Taking L size pants 10 as an example, the first length L1 is 28 cm, the second length L2 is 23 cm, and the third length L3 is 20 cm. The aforementioned length limitations ensure that the second connecting region 152 is located at a proper position to prevent the auxiliary supportive-
crotch 200 from being trapped between the user's buttocks. - Furthermore, in the unexpanded status (as shown in
FIG. 3A ), thefirst piece 110 has a firstbottom edge 114 on the central-portion 150, and thesecond piece 120 has a secondbottom edge 124 on the central-portion 150. It should be noted that the firstbottom edge 114 and thesecond piece 120 respectively refer to the lowest points of thefirst piece 110 and thesecond piece 120 in the wearing direction A1. Adopting the waist-wearingportion 130 as a standard, the vertical distance from the waist wearing-portion 130 to the firstbottom edge 114 is a fourth length L4, and the vertical distance from the waist wearing-portion 130 to the secondbottom edge 114 is a fifth length L5. The first length L1 of thefirst piece 110 is greater than the second length L2 of thesecond piece 120, so the fourth length L4 is also greater than the fifth length L5. - It should be noted that the unexpanded status of the present embodiment refers to the status of the user not wearing the
pants 10, such that the entirety of thefirst piece 110 is close to the entirety of thesecond piece 120, and the wearing status is the user's wearing status. In order to represent clearly all unexpanded features of the present pants in the drawings, thefirst piece 110 and thesecond piece 120 shown inFIG. 3A are not completely adjacent. The location of thefirst piece 110 shown inFIG. 3A is only closer to thesecond piece 120 than the location of thefirst piece 110 in the wearing status (as shown inFIG. 3B ). As a result, there is a suitable space among thefirst piece 110, thesecond piece 120, and the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 to show all features of the present invention. In other words, the drawings are presented herein for purposes of illustration and are not to be interpreted as indicating a limitation. - As described above, the
pants 10 of the present embodiment have the feature of the first length L1 being greater than the second length L2 and the third length L3 such that the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 can provide stable covering, securing, and supporting effects. Furthermore, thepants 10 also have the feature of thefirst piece 110,second piece 120 and the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 being sewn together at the second connecting region 152 to achieve the durability effect. Specifically, if the second connecting end 200E2 of the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 is sewn to the middle of thesecond piece 120, that is, the seam is between the upper edge and the end edge 120E1 of the second piece 120 (such as the design of Patent US 2010/0058517), the second piece 120 (back-side piece) would be broken by the stitching. Therefore, the feature of thefirst piece 110, thesecond piece 120 and the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 being sewn together with one another at the second connecting region 152 can achieve the durability effect. - In the present embodiment, an accommodating space is formed between the auxiliary supportive-
crotch 120 and thefirst piece 110 to achieve the breathability effect. The auxiliary supportive-crotch 120 cannot easily be discerned from the exterior of thepants 10 because of the accommodating space; therefore, the male genitals would also not easily be discerned from the exterior of thepants 10. Specificity, when themain body 100 is in the unexpanded status, a first accommodating space Si is configured between the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 and thefirst piece 110. On the other hand, when themain body 100 is in the wearing status, a second accommodating space S2 is configured between the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 and thefirst piece 110. Owing to the third length L3 of the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 being less than the first length L1 of thefirst piece 110, the second accommodating space S2 of themain body 100 in the wearing status is larger than the first accommodating space Si of themain body 100 in the unexpanded status. As a result, when thepants 10 of the present embodiment are worn by a user, a larger space is configured between the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 and thefirst piece 110 to provide breathability, and the male genitals will not easily be discerned from the exterior of thepants 10. - In addition, the auxiliary supportive-
crotch 200 of the present embodiment includes anelastic covering portion 210 and twoelastic belts 220. Theelastic covering portion 210 is, for example, an elastic mesh with a plurality of breathable holes, and theelastic belts 220 are respectively sewn into two sides of theelastic covering portion 210. In the present embodiment, the first connecting end 200E1 is located at the upper edge of theelastic covering portion 210, and the second connecting end 200E2 is located at the end edge of theelastic covering portion 210. Theelastic covering portion 210 forms a suspended curved bag between the first connectingregion 151 and the second connecting region 152. It should be noted that, in the present embodiment, the elasticity of theelastic belt 220 is greater than the elasticity of theelastic covering portion 210. Thus, the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 can cover, secure, and support male genitals efficiently. - In order that the pants with the auxiliary supportive-crotch of the present embodiment can have a preferred degree of breathability, the present embodiment further can include at least one
breathable portion 116 configured in thefirst piece 110. In the present embodiment, thefirst piece 110 has, for example, twobreathable portions 116. Thebreathable portions 116 are configured on the side of thefirst piece 110 which is opposite to the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200; that is, the front side of thefirst piece 110. Eachbreathable portion 116 has a plurality of breathable holes O. - Furthermore, the
breathable portions 116 are exposed at the front side of thefirst piece 110 and close to the firstbottom edge 114 of thefirst piece 110. Thus, when thepants 10 are worn by the user, thebreathable portions 116 are exposed at the front side and thebottom edge 114 of thefirst piece 110, which can provide air convection for the genitals covered by the auxiliary supportive-crotch through the aforementioned second accommodating space S2, thus achieving the functions of heat dissipation and perspiration and having a preferred degree of breathability. - In addition, the materials of the
first piece 110 and thesecond piece 120 can be elastic materials. When thepants 10 are worn by the user, thebreathable portions 116 configured in thefirst piece 110 can be extended to increase the breathable area by the elastic material of thefirst piece 110, and then the breathability of the main body can be increased more comprehensively. On the other hand, in the present embodiment, a projection area Z of the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 projected on thefirst piece 110 overlaps preferably at least a portion of thebreathable portions 116 in the unexpanded status. This is, in one embodiment, the configuring locations of the aforementionedbreathable portions 116 do not entirely overlap the genitals covered by the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200. Therefore, the auxiliary supportive-crotch cannot be easily observed from the exterior of the pants. In addition, the male genitals covered by the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 further cannot be easily observed from the exterior of the pants. Furthermore, due to the accommodating space (the first accommodating space S1 or the second accommodating space S2) between thebreathable portions 116 of the first piece and the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 in the present embodiment, the auxiliary supportive-crotch further cannot be easily observed from the exterior of thepants 10. Similarly, the male genitals covered by the auxiliary supportive-crotch cannot be observed. Thus, in the present invention, the design of the breathable portions provides a function of good breathability and also provides a function of personal privacy. - In another preferred embodiment, in the unexpanded status, the configuring locations of the above-mentioned
breathable portions 116 can entirely overlap the genitals covered by the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200. In this embodiment, when the pants are worn by a user, thebreathable portions 116 of thefirst piece 110 cannot correspond to the breathable holes of the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 because of the spatial mismatch. Similarly, in this embodiment, the auxiliary supportive-crotch also cannot be easily observed from the exterior of the pants. The color of themain body 100 and the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 can be black or other dark colors to further increase the personal privacy effect, and the colors of themain body 100 and the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 can be the same such that the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 configured inside of themain body 100 cannot be observed through thebreathable portions 116. - Herein are described the relations of the configuration between the
breathable portions 116 and thefirst piece 110 in the present embodiment.FIG. 4 is a schematic drawing illustrating the breathable portions configured in the first piece depicted inFIG. 1A . In the present embodiment, eachbreathable portion 116 is sewn into thefirst piece 110 by a first line ofstitching 116A and a second line ofstitching 116B. The sewing curvature C1 of the first line ofstitching 116A is greater than the sewing curvature C2 of the second line ofstitching 116B. The first line ofstitching 116A and the second line ofstitching 116B intersect at two points P1/P2. The second line ofstitching 116B of thebreathable portions 116 is located outside of the first line ofstitching 116A. The point P1 is located at the front side of thefirst piece 110, and the point P2 is located at the firstbottom edge 114 of thefirst piece 110. In addition, the minimum gap between the first line ofstitching 116A is a first gap G1, and the maximum gap between the first line ofstitching 116A and the corresponding second line ofstitching 116B is a second gap G2. The ratio of the first gap to the second gap G2 is between 1.1 and 1.5; that is, the width of the first gap G1 is 1.1 to 2 times that of the second gap G2. The ratio of the width between the first gap G1 and the second gap G2 can provide the genitals with preferred and overall breathability, securing and supporting effects by the auxiliary supportive-crotch, and a personal privacy function. - The distance from the point P2 to the end edge 110E1 of the
first piece 110 is a third gap G3. The ratio of the first gap G1 to the third gap G3 is between 3 and 6; in other words, the width of the first gap G1 is 3 to 6 times that of the second gap G3. In addition, in the unexpanded status, the distance from the firstbottom edge 114 to the second connecting region 152 is a sixth length L6 (referring toFIG. 3A ), and the ratio of the first gap G1 to the sixth length L6 is between 0.4 and 1. In a preferred embodiment, the ratio of the first gap G1 to the sixth length L6 is 0.67 (⅔). Similarly, the aforementioned ratio can provide the genitals with preferred and overall breathability, securing and supporting effects by the auxiliary supportive-crotch, and a personal privacy function. - In the aforementioned embodiment, the
first piece 110, thesecond piece 120, and the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 are sewn together with one another such that the auxiliary supportive-crotch 200 is configured securely inside themain body 100. The present invention can increase the breathability of the pants and provide a comfortable accommodating space for male genitals by controlling the design of the connection among the first piece, the second piece, and the auxiliary supportive-crotch and does not require the addition of a scrotum bag as described in the prior art. Therefore, the present invention has lowered manufacturing costs. - In summary, in the present invention, the pants are made with the first piece and the second piece sewn together to constitute the waist wearing-portion, the leg wearing-portions and the central-portion.
- In addition, in the present invention, a suitable accommodating space is formed between the auxiliary supportive-crotch and the first piece. The accommodating space can provide sufficient space for accommodating male genitals and also can act as a buffer space for male genitals that undergo physiological changes to effectively prevent bulging of the exterior pants.
- The auxiliary supportive-crotch of the present invention is, for example, an elastic mesh with multiple breathable holes which can provide overall breathability for the male genitals. In addition, in the present invention, the suitable accommodating space is configured between the auxiliary supportive-crotch and the first piece for heat dissipation, and the breathable portions are provided on the first piece. The breathable portions are similarly configured with a plurality of breathable holes. Thus, the present invention can provide air convection with the external environment through the plurality of breathable holes of the auxiliary supportive-crotch, the accommodating space configured between the auxiliary supportive-crotch and the first piece, and the breathable holes of the breathable portions. Since the pants of the present invention have a design of breathable space communicating with the external environment, the present invention provides overall breathability for the genitals.
- Furthermore, the pants of the present invention can be applied not only in the field of underwear but also to all kinds of pants, such as beach pants, sports pants or the like. Thus, the pants of the present invention further provide overall breathability, securing and supporting effects for male genitals and low manufacturing costs. Also, the pants of the present invention further can provide a sufficient space for accommodating genitals to prevent bulging in the front of the pants due to the physiological changes of male genitals.
- Although the invention has been described with reference to the above embodiments, it will be apparent to one of ordinary skill in the art that modifications to the described embodiments may be made without departing from the spirit of the invention. Accordingly, the scope of the invention will be defined by the attached claims rather than by the above detailed descriptions.
