Abstract
A hair coloring apparatus includes a hair-color composition tube, a cap, and an off-scalp brush applicator. The hair-color composition tube, which contains the coloring agent, is enclosed with the cap. The off-scalp brush application is concentrically positioned and adjacently connected with the cap. Generally, the off-scalp brush is positioned within the hair-color composition tube. Once the user is ready to color his or her hair, the cap is removed from the hair-color composition tube allowing the off-scalp brush applicator, which is dipped in the coloring agent, to be utilized with the hair. Insertion and removal of the off-scalp brush applicator into the hair-color composition tube allows the user withdraw and apply additional coloring product as need.
Description
- The present invention relates generally to a hair coloring apparatus. More specifically, the hair coloring apparatus provides an efficient coloring process through an integrated brush that is positioned within a composition tube.
- Hair coloring is the practice of changing the color of one's hair, which is mainly done due to cosmetic reason. For example, hair coloring is done by an individual to cover up gray hair, to change to a desired color as a fashionable statement, and to restore original hair color. Generally, hair coloring is conducted by professional hairdresser due the associated adverse effects that may occur during the process, due to other health conditions, and to achieve a professional outcome. However, due to the involvement of the professional hairdressers, the hair coloring process can be expensive and time consuming for general consumers. As a result, the hair coloring industry provides independent coloring kits that allow consumers to color their own hair. The main problem with the independent coloring kits is that majority of consumers are not able to achieve the professional outcome due to lack of practice and/or lack of proper tools.
- It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a hair coloring apparatus that allows individuals to color their own hair while attaining a professional outcome. The present invention contains the hair-coloring composition within a tube while an integrated brush applicator that is connected with a cap allows an individual to color his or her hair. As a result, the present invention creates a clean environment for the coloring process and provides an efficient coloring method to achieve a professional outlook.

- The present invention is a hair coloring apparatus that is specifically configured to allow an individual to color their own hair, without going to a professional hairdresser. The present invention utilizes off-scalp coloring technique and is capable of performing a permanent hair coloring type, a demi-permanent hair coloring type, a semi-permanent hair coloring type, and a temporary hair coloring type. In reference to
FIG. 1-2 , the present invention comprises a hair-color composition tube 1, acap 6, and an off-scalp brush applicator 9. Thecap 6 is connected with the off-scalp brush applicator 9 and protects the coloring agent that is filled within the hair-color composition tube 1. When the present invention is in a closed configuration, thecap 6 seals the hair-color composition tube 1 while the off-scalp brush applicator 9 is positioned within the hair-color composition tube 1. When the present invention is in an opened configuration, the user is able to hold thecap 6 and apply the coloring agent to hair through the off-scalp brush applicator 9. - The
cap 6 provides two main functionalities within the present invention. More specifically, thecap 6 seals the hair-color composition tube 1 in order to protect the coloring agent within and functions as a handle for the off-scalp brush applicator 9. In reference toFIG. 1-2 , thecap 6 comprises abase panel 7 and alateral panel 8 as thelateral panel 8 is radially connected around thebase panel 7. Additionally, an outer surface of thecap 6 can comprise a plurality of grooves that extends from a top end to a bottom end of thelateral panel 8. The plurality of grooves increases friction between the user's hand and thecap 6, when thecap 6 is utilized as a handle for the off-scalp brush applicator 9. As a result, the user is able to improve the handling capabilities of the off-scalp brush applicator 9 when the coloring agent is being applied to the hair. Thecap 6 is preferably composed of hard plastic; however, any other types of similar materials can be used as the manufacturing material for thecap 6. - The hair-color composition tube 1 stores the coloring agent so that the user is able to cleanly extract the coloring agent through the off-
scalp brush applicator 9. In reference toFIG. 1-4 , the hair-color composition tube 1 comprises aflexible body 2, ashoulder 3, aneck 4, and atube compartment 5. More specifically, theshoulder 3 is perimetrically connected to theflexible body 2. Theneck 4 is perimetrically connected with theshoulder 3, opposite of theflexible body 2. As a result, theflexible body 2, theshoulder 3, and theneck 4 are in fluid communication with each other in order to delineate thetube compartment 5. The coloring agent is filled within thetube compartment 5, enabling thecap 6 to retain the coloring agent while the off-scalp brush applicator 9 is able to extract the coloring agent. The hair-color composition tube 1 is preferably composed of plastic in order to prevent any kind of chemical reaction between the coloring agent and the hair-color composition tube 1. More specifically, theshoulder 3 and theneck 4 are preferably composed of hard plastic to hold the overall shape of the hair-color composition tube 1. However, theflexible body 2 is preferably composed of flexible plastic so that the user can apply hand pressure or roll up theflexible body 2 to fully discharge the coloring agent from the hair-color composition tube 1. Thetube compartment 5 can be sized with different capacities, such as 16 ounce (oz), 24 oz, and 32 oz, so the user is able to select the desired size based upon the necessity of the user. - The off-
scalp brush applicator 9 allows the user to evenly apply the coloring agent to their hair. The off-scalp brush applicator 9 comprises abase member 10, anelongated shaft 11, and a plurality ofbristles 12. In reference toFIG. 2 , thebase member 10 is concentrically and adjacently connected with theelongated shaft 11. The plurality ofbristles 12 is distributed and connected along theelongated shaft 11 and positioned opposite of thebase member 10. Additionally, thebase member 10 is concentrically and adjacently connected with thecap 6 in order to connect the off-scalp brush applicator 9 to thecap 6. More specifically, thebase member 10 is concentrically positioned with thebase panel 7 and positioned within thelateral panel 8, wherein thelateral panel 8 is positioned in between the plurality ofbristles 12 and thebase panel 7. Thebase member 10 is adjacently connected with thebase panel 7. As a result, the user is able to hold thecap 6 by thelateral panel 8 and apply the coloring agent to the hair through the plurality ofbristles 12. The length of theelongated shaft 11 positions the user's hand away from the hair in which the coloring agent is applied. In reference to a preferred embodiment of the off-scalp brush applicator 9 that is shown inFIG. 2 andFIG. 4 , the plurality ofbristles 12 is radially positioned around theelongated shaft 11, forming a circular-shaped end for the off-scalp brush applicator 9. The circular-shaped end allows the user to extract maximum amount of coloring agent from thetube compartment 5 while allowing the user to quickly and efficiently cover a large area of hair. In reference to an alternative embodiment of the off-scalp brush applicator 9 that is shown inFIG. 5 , the plurality ofbristles 12 comprises a first set ofbristles 13 and a second set ofbristles 14. More specifically, the first set ofbristles 13 and the second set ofbristles 14 are distributed along theelongated shaft 11 and diametrically opposed of each other, forming a rectangular-shaped end for the off-scalp brush applicator 9. The rectangular-shaped end allows the user to extract minimum amount of coloring agent from thetube compartment 5 while allowing the user to quickly and efficiently cover a specific and small area of hair. - In reference to
FIG. 4 , when the present invention is in the closed configuration, thecap 6 is selectively engaged with the hair-color composition tube 1 while theelongated shaft 11 and the plurality ofbristles 12 are positioned within the hair-color composition tube 1. More specifically, thelateral panel 8 is externally positioned around theneck 4 and threadly engaged with theneck 4. Even though the preferred embodiment uses a treaded fastening mechanism between thecap 6 and theneck 4, the present invention can utilize any other types of quick release fastening mechanism between thecap 6 andneck 4. Furthermore, theelongated shaft 11 and the plurality ofbristles 12 are positioned withintube compartment 5, protecting the plurality ofbristles 12 and the coloring agent. - Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
Claims (18)
1. A hair coloring apparatus comprises:
a hair-color composition tube;
a cap;
an off-scalp brush applicator;
the cap comprises a base panel and a lateral panel;
the off-scalp brush applicator comprises a base member, an elongated shaft, and a plurality of bristles;
the base member being concentrically and adjacently connected with the elongated shaft;
the plurality of bristles being distributed and connected along the elongated shaft, opposite of the base member;
the base member being concentrically and adjacently connected with the cap;
the elongated shaft and the plurality of bristles being positioned within the hair-color composition tube; and
the cap being selectively engaged with the hair-color composition tube.
2. The hair coloring apparatus as claimed in claim 1 comprises:
the hair-color composition tube comprises a flexible body, a shoulder, a neck, and a tube compartment;
the shoulder being perimetrically connected with the flexible body;
the neck being perimetrically connected with the shoulder, opposite of the flexible body; and
the flexible body, the shoulder, and the neck being in fluid communication with each other in order to delineate the tube compartment.
3. The hair coloring apparatus as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the lateral panel being radially connected around the base panel.
4. The hair coloring apparatus as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the plurality of bristles being radially positioned around the elongated shaft.
5. The hair coloring apparatus as claimed in claim 1 comprises:
the plurality of bristles comprises a first set of bristles and a second set of bristles;
the first set of bristles and the second set of bristles being distributed along the elongated shaft; and
the first set of bristles and the second set of bristles being diametrically opposed of each other.
6. The hair coloring apparatus as claimed in claim 1 comprises:
the base member being concentrically positioned with the base panel;
the base member being concentrically positioned within the lateral panel;
the lateral panel being positioned in between the plurality of bristles and the base panel; and
the base member being adjacently connected with the base panel.
7. The hair coloring apparatus as claimed in claim 1 comprises:
the lateral panel being externally positioned around a neck of the hair-color composition tube;
the lateral panel being threadly engaged with the neck; and
the elongated shaft and the plurality of bristles being positioned within a tube compartment of the hair-color composition tube.
8. A hair coloring apparatus comprises:
a hair-color composition tube;
a cap;
an off-scalp brush applicator;
the hair-color composition tube comprises a flexible body, a shoulder, a neck, and a tube compartment;
the cap comprises a base panel and a lateral panel;
the off-scalp brush applicator comprises a base member, an elongated shaft, and a plurality of bristles;
the shoulder being perimetrically connected with the flexible body;
the neck being perimetrically connected with the shoulder, opposite of the flexible body;
the flexible body, the shoulder, and the neck being in fluid communication with each other in order to delineate the tube compartment;
the base member being concentrically and adjacently connected with the elongated shaft;
the plurality of bristles being distributed and connected along the elongated shaft, opposite of the base member;
the base member being concentrically and adjacently connected with the cap;
the elongated shaft and the plurality of bristles being positioned within the tube compartment; and
the cap being selectively engaged with the hair-color composition tube.
9. The hair coloring apparatus as claimed in claim 8 , wherein the lateral panel being radially connected around the base panel.
10. The hair coloring apparatus as claimed in claim 8 , wherein the plurality of bristles being radially positioned around the elongated shaft.
11. The hair coloring apparatus as claimed in claim 8 comprises:
the plurality of bristles comprises a first set of bristles and a second set of bristles;
the first set of bristles and the second set of bristles being distributed along the elongated shaft; and
the first set of bristles and the second set of bristles being diametrically opposed of each other.
12. The hair coloring apparatus as claimed in claim 8 comprises:
the base member being concentrically positioned with the base panel;
the base member being concentrically positioned within the lateral panel;
the lateral panel being positioned in between the plurality of bristles and the base panel; and
the base member being adjacently connected with the base panel.
13. The hair coloring apparatus as claimed in claim 8 comprises:
the lateral panel being externally positioned around the neck; and
the lateral panel being threadly engaged with the neck.
14. A hair coloring apparatus comprises:
a hair-color composition tube;
a cap;
an off-scalp brush applicator;
the hair-color composition tube comprises a flexible body, a shoulder, a neck, and a tube compartment;
the cap comprises a base panel and a lateral panel;
the off-scalp brush applicator comprises a base member, an elongated shaft, and a plurality of bristles;
the shoulder being perimetrically connected with the flexible body;
the neck being perimetrically connected with the shoulder, opposite of the flexible body;
the flexible body, the shoulder, and the neck being in fluid communication with each other in order to delineate the tube compartment;
the base member being concentrically and adjacently connected with the elongated shaft;
the plurality of bristles being distributed and connected along the elongated shaft, opposite of the base member;
the base member being concentrically and adjacently connected with the cap;
the elongated shaft and the plurality of bristles being positioned within the tube compartment; and
the lateral panel being externally positioned around the neck; and
the lateral panel being threadly engaged with the neck.
15. The hair coloring apparatus as claimed in claim 14 , wherein the lateral panel being radially connected around the base panel.
16. The hair coloring apparatus as claimed in claim 14 , wherein the plurality of bristles being radially positioned around the elongated shaft.
17. The hair coloring apparatus as claimed in claim 14 comprises:
the plurality of bristles comprises a first set of bristles and a second set of bristles;
the first set of bristles and the second set of bristles being distributed along the elongated shaft; and
the first set of bristles and the second set of bristles being diametrically opposed of each other.
18. The hair coloring apparatus as claimed in claim 14 comprises:
the base member being concentrically positioned with the base panel;
the base member being concentrically positioned within the lateral panel;
