Abstract
A spill inhibiting container system for inhibiting a liquid from spilling from a bottle during air travel includes a bottle that has a neck. The bottle may contain a liquid. A plug is removably positioned within the neck. The plug inhibits the liquid from escaping the bottle when the bottle is carried in air transportation.
Description
- The disclosure relates to container devices and more particularly pertains to a new container device for inhibiting a liquid from escaping a bottle during air travel.
- SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a bottle that has a neck. The bottle may contain a liquid. A plug is removably positioned within the neck. The plug inhibits the liquid from escaping the bottle when the bottle is carried in air transportation.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a spill inhibiting container system according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a bottom view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a top cut away view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a right side cut-away view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 4 thereof, a new container device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 4 , the spill inhibitingcontainer system 10 generally comprises abottle 12 that has aneck 14. Theneck 14 has aninner surface 16. Thebottle 12 may contain aliquid 18. Aplug 20 is provided and theplug 20 is removably positioned within theneck 14. Thus, theplug 20 inhibits theliquid 18 from escaping thebottle 12 when thebottle 12 is carried during air transportation. - The
plug 20 has atop wall 22, abottom wall 24 and anouter wall 26 extending between thetop wall 22 and thebottom wall 24. Theouter wall 26 is continuous such that theplug 20 has a cylindrical shape and theplug 20 is substantially hollow. Theouter wall 26 frictionally engages theinner surface 16 of theneck 14 when theplug 20 is positioned in thebottle 12. Theplug 30 is comprised of a deformable material. Thus, theouter wall 26 forms a liquid impermeable seal with theneck 14. - The
plug 20 is inflated with agas 28. Thus, theplug 20 expands and contracts in reaction to changing atmospheric pressure during air travel. Thus, theplug 20 retains theliquid 18 in thebottle 12 during air travel. Thegas 28 may comprise air or the like. - The
plug 20 has an opening 30 extending through thetop wall 22 and thebottom wall 24. The opening 30 is fluidly discrete from an interior of theplug 20. The opening 30 selectively dispenses theliquid 18 from thebottle 12. The opening 30 equalizes atmospheric pressure with respect to the interior of thebottle 12 and ambient atmospheric pressure. Thus, theliquid 18 in thebottle 12 is inhibited from being pressurized in thebottle 12. Acap 32 is removably coupled to thebottle 12 when theplug 20 is positioned within theneck 14. Thus, thecap 32 inhibits theliquid 18 from escaping thebottle 12 during air travel. - In use, the
plug 20 is positioned within theneck 14 when thebottle 12 is to be carried during air travel. Thecap 32 is positioned on thebottle 12. Theplug 20 may be left in theneck 14 on a permanent basis or theplug 20 may be selectively removed from theneck 14. Thecap 32 is removed to selectively dispense theliquid 18 from thebottle 12. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, system and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
