Abstract
An apparel system includes a shirt that may be worn. A first sleeve fastener is coupled to a first sleeve and the first sleeve fastener is positioned on a cuff corresponding to the first sleeve. A second sleeve fastener is coupled to a second sleeve and the second sleeve fastener is positioned on a cuff corresponding to the second sleeve. A neckband fastener is coupled to a neckband. A first collar fastener is coupled to a collar. The first collar fastener selectively engages the shirt such that the collar is removably fastened to the shirt. A second collar fastener is coupled to the collar. The second collar fastener selectively engages the body such that the collar is removably fastened to the body.
Description
- The disclosure relates to apparel devices and more particularly pertains to a new apparel device for facilitating a physically disabled user to secure cuffs, a neckband and a collar of a shirt.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a shirt that may be worn. A first sleeve fastener is coupled to a first sleeve and the first sleeve fastener is positioned on a cuff corresponding to the first sleeve. A second sleeve fastener is coupled to a second sleeve and the second sleeve fastener is positioned on a cuff corresponding to the second sleeve. A neckband fastener is coupled to a neckband. A first collar fastener is coupled to a collar. The first collar fastener selectively engages the shirt such that the collar is removably fastened to the shirt. A second collar fastener is coupled to the collar. The second collar fastener selectively engages the body such that the collar is removably fastened to the body.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new apparel device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 5 , theapparel system 10 generally comprises ashirt 12 that may be worn. Theshirt 12 has abody 14, afirst sleeve 16, asecond sleeve 18, aneckband 20 and acollar 22. Each of thefirst sleeve 16 and thesecond sleeve 18 has acuff 24, aninner surface 26 and anouter surface 28. Thecollar 22 has afirst surface 30, asecond surface 32 and a pair oftips 34. Theneckband 20 has afirst surface 36 and asecond surface 38. Thebody 14 has anexterior surface 40. Theshirt 12 may be a button down, long sleeved shirt or the like. - A
first sleeve fastener 42 is provided and thefirst sleeve fastener 42 is coupled to thefirst sleeve 16. Thefirst sleeve fastener 42 is positioned on thecuff 24 corresponding to thefirst sleeve 42. Thefirst sleeve fastener 42 includes afirst half 44 that is positioned on theouter surface 28 corresponding to thefirst sleeve 16. Thefirst sleeve fastener 42 further includes asecond half 46 that is positioned on theinner surface 26 corresponding to thefirst sleeve 16. Thefirst half 44 is complementary with respect to thesecond half 46 such that thecuff 24 corresponding to thefirst sleeve 16 may be secured around a wrist. - A
first cuff button 48 is coupled to theouter surface 28 corresponding to thefirst sleeve 16. Thefirst cuff button 48 is positioned on thecuff 24 corresponding to thefirst sleeve 16. Thus, thefirst cuff button 48 appears to be a functional cuff button. Thefirst cuff button 48 is aligned with thefirst sleeve fastener 42. Thefirst sleeve fastener 42 may comprise a hook and loop fastener or the like. - A
second sleeve fastener 50 is provided and thesecond sleeve fastener 50 is coupled to thesecond sleeve 18. Thesecond sleeve fastener 50 is positioned on thecuff 24 corresponding to thesecond sleeve 18. Thesecond sleeve fastener 50 includes aprimary half 52 that is positioned on theouter surface 28 corresponding to thesecond sleeve 18. Thesecond sleeve fastener 50 further includes asecondary half 54 that is positioned on theinner surface 26 corresponding to thefirst sleeve 16. Theprimary half 52 is complementary with respect to thesecondary half 54 such that thecuff 24 corresponding to thesecond sleeve 18 may be secured around a wrist. - A
second cuff button 56 is coupled to theouter surface 28 corresponding to thesecond sleeve 18. Thesecond cuff button 56 is positioned on thecuff 24 corresponding to thesecond sleeve 18. Thus, thesecond cuff button 56 may appear to be a functional cuff button. Thesecond cuff button 56 is aligned with thesecond sleeve fastener 50. Thesecond sleeve fastener 50 may comprise a hook and loop fastener or the like. - A
neckband fastener 58 is coupled to theneckband 20. Theneckband fastener 58 may be manipulated thereby facilitating theneckband 20 to be secured around a neck. Theneckband fastener 58 includes afirst half 60 that is positioned on thefirst surface 36 corresponding to theneckband 20. Theneckband fastener 58 further includes asecond half 62 that is positioned on thesecond surface 38 corresponding to theneckband 20. Thefirst half 60 corresponding to theneckband fastener 58 is complementary with respect to thesecond half 62 corresponding to theneckband fastener 58. Theneckband fastener 58 may comprise a hook and loop fastener or the like. - A
first collar fastener 64 is coupled to thecollar 22. The first collar fastener 64 selectively engages thebody 14 such that thecollar 22 is removably fastened to thebody 14. Thefirst collar 64 fastener includes afirst half 66 that is positioned on thefirst surface 30 corresponding to thecollar 22. Thefirst half 66 corresponding to thefirst collar fastener 64 is positioned adjacent to an associated one of thetips 34. - The
first collar fastener 64 further includes asecond half 68 that is positioned on theexterior surface 40 of thebody 14. Thesecond half 68 corresponding to thefirst collar fastener 64 is aligned with thefirst half 66 corresponding to thefirst collar fastener 64. Thefirst half 66 corresponding to thefirst collar fastener 64 is complementary with respect to thesecond half 68 corresponding to thefirst collar fastener 64. - A
first collar button 70 is coupled to thesecond surface 32 corresponding to thecollar 22. Thefirst collar button 70 is positioned adjacent to the associatedtip 34. Thus, thefirst collar button 70 may appear to be a functional collar button. Thefirst collar button 70 is aligned with thefirst collar fastener 64. Thefirst collar fastener 64 may comprise hook and loop fastener or the like. - A
second collar fastener 72 is coupled to thecollar 22. Thesecond collar fastener 72 selectively engages thebody 14 such that thecollar 22 is removably fastened to thebody 14. Thesecond collar fastener 72 includes afirst half 74 that is positioned on thefirst surface 30 corresponding to thecollar 22. Thefirst half 74 corresponding to thesecond collar fastener 72 is positioned adjacent to an associated one of thetips 34. - The
second collar fastener 72 further includes asecond half 76. Thesecond half 76 corresponding to thesecond collar fastener 72 is positioned on theexterior surface 40 of thebody 14. Thesecond half 76 corresponding to thesecond collar fastener 72 is aligned with thefirst half 74 corresponding to thesecond collar fastener 72. Thesecond half 76 corresponding to thesecond collar fastener 72 is complementary with respect to thefirst half 74 corresponding to thesecond collar fastener 72. - A
second collar button 78 is coupled to thesecond surface 32 corresponding to thecollar 22. Thesecond collar button 78 is positioned adjacent to the associatedtip 34. Thus, thesecond collar button 78 may appear to be a functional collar button. Thesecond collar button 78 is aligned with thesecond collar fastener 72. - In use, the
shirt 12 is worn in the convention of clothing. Thefirst sleeve fastener 42 is manipulated to close thecuff 24 corresponding to thefirst sleeve 16. Thesecond sleeve fastener 50 is manipulated to close thecuff 24 corresponding to thesecond sleeve 18. Theneckband fastener 58 is manipulated to close theneckband 20. Each of thefirst collar fastener 64 and thesecond collar fastener 72 are manipulated to attach each of thetips 34 to thebody 14. Each of thefirst sleeve fastener 42, thesecond sleeve fastener 50, theneckband fastener 58, thefirst collar fastener 64 and thesecond collar fastener 72 facilitate a physically disabled user to wear theshirt 12. Thus, the physically disabled user does not have to attempt to manipulate traditional shirt buttons on thecuffs 24, theneckband 20 and thecollar 22. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, system and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
Claims (16)
1. An apparel system comprising:
a shirt being configured to be worn, said shirt having a body, a first sleeve, a second sleeve, a neckband and a collar;
a first sleeve fastener, said first sleeve fastener being coupled to said first sleeve, said first sleeve fastener being positioned on said cuff corresponding to said first sleeve;
a second sleeve fastener, said second sleeve fastener being coupled to said second sleeve, said second sleeve fastener being positioned on said cuff corresponding to said second sleeve;
a neckband fastener being coupled to said neckband wherein said neckband fastener is configured to be manipulated thereby facilitating said neckband to be secured around a neck;
a first collar fastener being coupled to said collar, said first collar fastener selectively engaging said body such that said collar is removably fastened to said body; and
a second collar fastener being coupled to said collar, said second collar fastener selectively engaging said body such that said collar is removably fastened to said body.
2. The system according to claim 1 , wherein said first sleeve fastener includes a first half, said first half being positioned on an outer surface corresponding to said first sleeve.
3. The system according to claim 2 , further comprising a second half, said second half being positioned on an inner surface corresponding to said first sleeve, said first half being complementary with respect to said second half wherein said cuff corresponding to said first sleeve is configured to be secured around a wrist.
4. The system according to claim 1 , further comprising a first cuff button being coupled to an outer surface corresponding to said first sleeve, said first cuff button being positioned on said cuff corresponding to said first sleeve wherein said first cuff button is configured to appear to be a functional cuff button.
5. The system according to claim 1 , wherein said second sleeve fastener includes a primary half, said primary half being positioned on an outer surface corresponding to said second sleeve.
6. The system according to claim 5 , further comprising a secondary half, said secondary half being positioned on an inner surface corresponding to said first sleeve, said primary half being complementary with respect to said secondary half wherein said cuff corresponding to said second sleeve is configured to be secured around a wrist.
7. The system according to claim 1 , further comprising a second cuff button being coupled to an outer surface corresponding to said second sleeve, said second cuff button being positioned on said cuff corresponding to said second sleeve wherein said second cuff button is configured to appear to be a functional cuff button.
8. The system according to claim 1 , wherein said neckband fastener includes a first half being positioned on a first surface corresponding to said neckband.
9. The system according to claim 8 , further comprising a second half being positioned on a second surface corresponding to said neckband, said first half corresponding to said neckband fastener being complementary with respect to said second half corresponding to said neckband fastener.
10. The system according to claim 1 , wherein:
said collar has a pair of tips; and
said first collar fastener includes a first half being positioned on a first surface corresponding to said collar, said first half being positioned adjacent to an associated one of said tips.
11. The system according to claim 10 , further comprising a second half being positioned on an exterior surface of said body, said second half corresponding to said first collar fastener being aligned with said first half corresponding to said first collar fastener, said first half corresponding to said first collar fastener being complementary with respect to said second half corresponding to said first collar fastener.
12. The system according to claim 1 , further comprising:
said collar having a pair of tips and a second surface; and
a first collar button being coupled to said second surface, said first collar button being positioned adjacent to said associated tip wherein said first collar button is configured to appear to be a functional collar button.
13. The system according to claim 1 , wherein:
said collar has a pair of tips and a second surface; and
said second collar fastener includes a first half being positioned on said second surface, said first half corresponding to said second collar fastener being positioned adjacent to an associated one of said tips.
14. The system according to claim 13 , further comprising a second half being positioned on an exterior surface of said body, said second half corresponding to said second collar fastener being aligned with said first half corresponding to said second collar fastener, said second half corresponding to said second collar fastener being complementary with respect to said first half corresponding to said second collar fastener.
15. The system according to claim 1 , further comprising:
said collar having a pair of tips and a second surface; and
a second collar button being coupled to said second surface, said second collar button being positioned adjacent to said associated tip wherein said second collar button is configured to appear to be a functional collar button.
16. An apparel system comprising:
a shirt being configured to be worn, said shirt having a body, a first sleeve, a second sleeve, a neckband and a collar, each of said first sleeve and said second sleeve having a cuff, an inner surface and an outer surface, said collar having a first surface, a second surface and a pair of tips, said neckband having a first surface and a second surface, said body having an exterior surface;
a first sleeve fastener, said first sleeve fastener being coupled to said first sleeve, said first sleeve fastener being positioned on said cuff corresponding to said first sleeve, said first sleeve fastener including:
a first half, said first half being positioned on said outer surface corresponding to said first sleeve,
a second half, said second half being positioned on said inner surface corresponding to said first sleeve, said first half being complementary with respect to said second half wherein said cuff corresponding to said first sleeve is configured to be secured around a wrist, and
a first cuff button being coupled to said outer surface corresponding to said first sleeve, said first cuff button being positioned on said cuff corresponding to said first sleeve wherein said first cuff button is configured to appear to be a functional cuff button;
a second sleeve fastener, said second sleeve fastener being coupled to said second sleeve, said second sleeve fastener being positioned on said cuff corresponding to said second sleeve, said second sleeve fastener including:
a primary half, said primary half being positioned on said outer surface corresponding to said second sleeve,
a secondary half, said secondary half being positioned on said inner surface corresponding to said first sleeve, said primary half being complementary with respect to said secondary half wherein said cuff corresponding to said second sleeve is configured to be secured around a wrist, and
a second cuff button being coupled to said outer surface corresponding to said second sleeve, said second cuff button being positioned on said cuff corresponding to said second sleeve wherein said second cuff button is configured to appear to be a functional cuff button;
a neckband fastener being coupled to said neckband wherein said neckband fastener is configured to be manipulated thereby facilitating said neckband to be secured around a neck, said neckband fastener including:
a first half being positioned on said first surface corresponding to said neckband, and
a second half being positioned on said second surface corresponding to said neckband, said first half corresponding to said neckband fastener being complementary with respect to said second half corresponding to said neckband fastener;
a first collar fastener being coupled to said collar, said first collar fastener selectively engaging said body such that said collar is removably fastened to said body, said first collar fastener including:
a first half being positioned on said first surface corresponding to said collar, said first half being positioned adjacent to an associated one of said tips,
a second half being positioned on said exterior surface of said body, said second half corresponding to said first collar fastener being aligned with said first half corresponding to said first collar fastener, said first half corresponding to said first collar fastener being complementary with respect to said second half corresponding to said first collar fastener, and
a first collar button being coupled to said second surface corresponding to said collar, said first collar button being positioned adjacent to said associated tip wherein said first collar button is configured to appear to be a functional collar button; and
a second collar fastener being coupled to said collar, said second collar fastener selectively engaging said body such that said collar is removably fastened to said body, said second collar fastener including:
a first half being positioned on said second surface corresponding to said collar, said first half corresponding to said second collar fastener being positioned adjacent to an associated one of said tips,
a second half being positioned on said exterior surface of said body, said second half corresponding to said second collar fastener being aligned with said first half corresponding to said second collar fastener, said second half corresponding to said second collar fastener being complementary with respect to said first half corresponding to said second collar fastener, and
a second collar button being coupled to said second surface corresponding to said collar, said second collar button being positioned adjacent to said associated tip wherein said second collar button is configured to appear to be a functional collar button.
