Abstract

The present invention relates to a food packaging box which is practical and convenient, which does not require high costs and which is used for offering ready to eat foods such as chips, snacks and cookies to consumers.

Description

    TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a food packaging box which is practical and convenient, which does not require high costs and which is used for offering snack foods such as chips, appetizers and cookies to consumers.
  • KNOWN PRIOR ART (PREVIOUS TECHNIQUE)
  • Packaging is defined as the external cover produced from metal, paper, cardboard, glass, plastic, etc., which protects products from external effects and which facilitates the transportation, storage, distribution, promotion and marketing of said products by keeping them together. Actually, packaging is a garment which bears all the glamour that is required to prepare the consumer for the act of purchase.
  • In the known prior art, snack foods like chips, appetizers and cookies are provided in bag-like packages. When the snack foods in bag-like packages are to be consumed, the bag packaging is opened and the food inside can be consumed. As the snack foods inside the bag cannot be re-protected once the bag package is opened, these foods must be consumed as quickly as possible.
  • A disadvantage of the bag-like packages is that the snack foods contained within can be crushed and crumbled quickly, due to external impacts. For example, a portion of the chips sold in bag packages are crushed during shipping and display, which makes the consumption of crushed and crumbled chips harder.
  • Another disadvantage of said packages is that, there is a problem of hygiene when multiple people want to consume the snack foods contained inside the bag-like packages. As the product inside the bag-like package is distributed randomly therein, the products can spill when the package is inclined at a certain angle, in order to offer the food to someone else.
  • There are box-like packages in the known prior art. The box-like packages in the known prior art have lids that open from the top. Once the lid is opened, the products inside the box are consumed by picking them with hands. However, it becomes harder to reach the remaining products as the product is consumed.
  • OBJECTS AND SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a food packaging box which is practical and convenient, which does not require high costs and which is used for offering snack foods such as chips, appetizers and cookies to and the in consumers vention aims the following;
      • Easy access to the products inside the packaging box,
      • Convenient storage when the remaining product is to be consumed later,
      • Easy access to the products remaining on the base of the box with rising base, when the products are being consumed.
DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES EXPLAINING THE INVENTION
  • The figures and the related definitions used for a better explanation of the food packaging box developed with the present invention are listed below.
  • FIG. 1: A longitudinal section view of the food packaging box with herringbone side structure
  • FIG. 2: An overhead section view of the food packaging box with herringbone side structure
  • FIG. 3: A top view of the top lid
  • FIG. 4: A longitudinal section view of the food packaging box with spiral grooved side structure
  • FIG. 5: A longitudinal section view of the base with spiral grooved side structure
  • FIG. 6: A top view of the base with spiral grooved side structure
  • FIG. 7: A top view of the bottom lid
  • DEFINITIONS OF THE ELEMENTS/SECTIONS/PARTS FORMING THE INVENTION
  • The parts and sections, which are presented in the drawings for a better explanation of the food packaging box developed with the present invention, have been enumerated and the counterpart of each number is presented below.
  • 1. Body
  • 1.1 Inner box
  • 1.2 Outer box
  • 2. Top lid
  • 3. Bottom lid
  • 4. Inner lid
  • 5. Base
  • 6. Side Structure
      • 6.1 Inner side with herringbone profile
      • 6.2 Inner side with spiral grooves.
  • 7. Protrusion
  • 8. Base with spiral grooved outer side
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a food packaging box which is practical and convenient, which does not require high costs and which is used for offering snack foods such as chips, appetizers and cookies to ; comprise consumers, in its most basic form;
  • The body (1) which constitutes the basic structure of the packaging box and in which the food product is placed,
  • The top lid (2) which is placed on top of the body (1) and which is opened when the user desires to consume the product,
  • The base (5) which is located under the body (1), which can rise by moving upward axially and on which the food product is placed,
  • The bottom lid (3) which is placed under the body (1) and which is opened when the rising base (5) is desired to be moved,
  • The inner lid (4) which is located under the top lid (2) and over the bottom lid (3) and which prevents the product from contacting air,
  • The side structure (6) which allows the base (5) to move, and
  • The protrusion (7) which is located on the bottom lid (3) and top lid (2) and which enables the consumer to separate these lids from the box.
  • The geometrical features of the inner surface profile of the food packaging box allow the box lid to axially move in only one direction (upward). By this means, the box base irreversibly moves in a single direction and allows the remaining products to be accessed easily near the lid of the box.
  • The body (1) of the food packaging box comprises an inner box (1.1) on the inside and an outer box (1.2) on the outside.
  • When consumers desire to consume the product inside the food packaging box, they open the top lid (2) placed on the top portion of the body (1) by holding and pulling the protrusion (7). After the top lid (2) is opened the inner lid (4), which prevents contact between the product and air, is also removed. The inner lid (4) is manufactured from aluminium and prevents the contact between the product and air. Afterwards, when it becomes hard to reach the product inside the body (1), the bottom lid (3) which is placed under the body (1) is opened by utilizing the protrusion (7). After the bottom lid (3) is opened the aluminium inner lid (4), which prevents contact between the product and air, is removed. When the inner lid (4) is removed, the consumer applies force to the base (5) in order to move it upwards. Since the product to be consumed is placed on the base (5), the product rises together with the base (5). When it becomes easier to reach the product to be consumed, the base (5) is then left in the desired position. The geometrical shape of the side structure (6) allows the base (5) to move only upwards and prevents it from moving downwards. Therefore, thanks to the rising base (5), the problem of trying to reach the product inside the said food packaging box while it is being consumed, is eliminated.
  • As an alternative to being manufactured from aluminium foil, the inner lid can also be a foil manufactured from plastic, paper or similar materials in other implementations of the invention.
  • Besides having a cylindrical structure, the food packaging box also has a prismatic structure in other implementations of the invention.
  • In another implementation of the invention, the side structure (6) is an inner side (6.1) with a herringbone profile.
  • In yet another implementation of the invention, the side structure (6) is a spiral grooved inner side (6.2). In the present implementation of the invention, the base (5) side also has spiral grooves. Thanks to the intertwining spiral grooved inner side (6.2) and the base (8) with spiral grooved outer side, the base (8) with spiral grooved outer side axially moves upwards when said base (8) is manually turned on its rotational axis. The movement of the base (8) with spiral grooved outer side is under the absolute control of the consumer.
