Abstract

The present process concerns protective devices for the users of water gym activity, from water and chemical products used in swimming pools, with special reference to the head and hair.

Description

  • The device in question is the production of specific gears for the protection of the head and hair of water gym users from the water and chemical products In the swimming pools.
  • The ever increasing sedentary life has stimulated a growing attitude for various gym activities both in the open air as well as indoors in equipped fitness centres, and swimming pools, mainly practiced all year round in spare time.
  • Water gym activity, particularly practiced during winter time, has arisen the demand for special protective measures from water and chemical agents, easily usable by water sports users.
  • In particular It is recommended that parts of the body, like the head and hair be kept water proofed in order to stay dry and protected from chemical products used in the pools.
  • Some state of the art solutions are available to safe guard heads and hairs of water gym users, in the aim of reaching every possible head comfort.
  • Given the necessity to prevent hair contact with water, the use of protective head gear becomes very important, but often bathing caps are inadequate; its silicone made material does not allow breathing or lacks of water proofing when made out of Lycra(R) or elastic materials.
  • Objective of our product is the process in realizing a device for the protection of both the head and hair of water gym users, and in particular to guarantee at the same time, water proofing safeguard from chemical products commonly used in the pools, a high breathing of the scalp, besides a comfortable and easy usage.
  • These objectives are achieved by our product, that concerns a process for the realization of a cap for the protection of hair and head of water gym users from the water and chemical products, thanks to the heat welded or laser welded or ultrasonic welded or heatsealed taped seams ,that will grant a total water proofing.
  • A preferential aspect of our product Is given by the process of obtaining a water proofing and breathable material by coupling with a membrane or with coating.
  • This device has the advantage of a comfortable fitting, allowing enough room to long hair and voluminous hair dressing, thus granting a real comfort without pressing the hair.
  • Other preferential aspect of our product is an elastic inset in the edge of the cap, that will hold firm around the head during gym activity.
  • Further characteristics and advantages of this working process will be enlightened in the following description, intended to illustrate, but not limited to, the attached designs:
  • TABLE 1
  • FIG. 1-is a front view of the outer side of the device for the protection from water as per our production process.
  • FIG. 2-is a front view of the inner side of the device for the protection from water as per our production process.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2-show a preferential realization of the device for the protection of the head and hair from water and chemical products dissolved in the swimming pools water, from different view angles. The outer surface 1, is made of an elastic fabric, with an Internal surface coated with a water proof and breathable material, i.e. number membrane 2.
  • Advantage is represented by the presence of “pinces” 3 in the outer surface 1, that once the rims are joined together, will assure an ample availability of volume.
  • In order to properly contour the head of the user, the outer layer is fitted with an elastic material 4, Joined to the entire circumference of said surface 1, that will keep tightly fit the cap from the forehead to the nape area, on both sides.
  • In order to grant total water proofing, the “pinces” 3 in the outer side, are heat welded 5 to the inner side of the “pinces” 3.
  • Alternatively, for the same purpose of water proofing, also a laser welding or ultrasonic welding or heatseal taping seams process can be available on the “pinces” 5.

Claims (4)

1. Production process of a head gear to protect the head of water gym activity users, spherical shaped, and equipped with an elastic material along the circumference and characterized in that its junction points are water proofed by means of heat welding or ultrasonic welding or laser welding or heatseal taping seams.
2. Process as per claim 1 characterized in that the product on Its outer surface e fitted with joining points, possibly “pinces”, whose edges , once put together, will allow the desired volume.
3. Process as per above claims, that the product so obtained is characterized in that Its inner surface is water proofed by the use of water proof and breathing material, or by means of special coating.
4. Process as per the above claims, the so obtained product is characterized in that made of elastic fabrics.
