Description
- The subject matter herein generally relates to packaging containers, and particularly to a packaging container for electronic devices.
- To prevent fragile precision electronic devices, such as mobile phones, from being damaged during transportation, the electronic devices are packaged in boxes before shipment. However, most of the boxes are discarded after the electronic devices are sold, so the boxes are wasted.
- Implementations of the present technology will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to the attached figures.
-
FIG. 1 is an isometric view of an embodiment of a packaging container in an open state. -
FIG. 2 is an isometric view of the packaging container ofFIG. 1 in a closed state. -
FIG. 3 is an enlarged, isometric view of circled portion III shown inFIG. 1 . - It will be appreciated that for simplicity and clarity of illustration, where appropriate, reference numerals have been repeated among the different figures to indicate corresponding or analogous elements. In addition, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the embodiments described herein. However, it will be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that the embodiments described herein can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, methods, procedures, and components have not been described in detail so as not to obscure the related relevant feature being described. Also, the description is not to be considered as limiting the scope of the embodiments described herein. The drawings are not necessarily to scale and the proportions of certain parts may be exaggerated to better illustrate details and features of the present disclosure.
- The term “substantially” is defined to be essentially conforming to the particular dimension, shape, or other feature that the term modifies, such that the component need not be exact. For example, substantially cylindrical means that the object resembles a cylinder, but can have one or more deviations from a true cylinder. The term “comprising,” when utilized, means “including, but not necessarily limited to”; it specifically indicates open-ended inclusion or membership in the so-described combination, group, series and the like.
- The present disclosure is described in relation to a packaging container.
-
FIG. 1 andFIG. 2 are isometric views of an embodiment of apackaging container 100. Thepackaging container 100 is used to accommodate an electronic device and related accessories (e.g. an earphone, a charger, a data cable, an owner manual, and the like) when packaged. - The
packing container 100 includes afirst portion 10, asecond portion 20, and abendable joint 30 integrally connected between thefirst portion 10 and thesecond portion 20. Thefirst portion 10, thesecond portion 20, and thebendable joint 30 can be made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polystyrene (PS), poly ethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), or other plastic materials. In this exemplary embodiment, thefirst portion 10, thesecond portion 20, and thebendable joint 30 are made of PE. - The
first portion 10 includes a firstmain body 11 and afirst hand grip 12. The firstmain body 11 can have a rectangular shape and defines afirst accommodation space 111. Thefirst hand grip 12 horizontally extends from a flange of the firstmain body 11 and defines afirst hole 121. In addition, thefirst hand grip 12 forms two protrudingblocks 131 adjacent to two end of thefirst hole 121, respectively. - The
second portion 20 is substantially same to thefirst portion 10. Thesecond portion 20 includes a secondmain body 21 and asecond hand grip 22. The secondmain body 21 can have a rectangular shape and defines asecond accommodation space 211 corresponding to thefirst accommodation space 111. Thesecond hand grip 22 horizontally extends from a flange of the secondmain body 21 and defines asecond hole 221. In addition, thefirst hand grip 12 defines tworecesses 231 adjacent to two end of thefirst hole 121, respectively. When thesecond portion 20 covers thefirst portion 10, thesecond accommodation space 211 communicates with thefirst accommodation space 111, and the two protrudingblocks 131 engage with the tworecesses 231, respectively. In at least one embodiment, both thefirst hole 121 and thesecond hole 221 can have an oval shape. -
FIG. 3 illustrates thebendable joint 30 including afirst connection portion 31, asecond connection portion 32, and abent portion 33 connected between thefirst connection portion 31 and thesecond connection portion 32. In addition, thefirst connection portion 31 is connected to a flange of the firstmain body 11 which is away from thefirst hand grip 12, and thesecond connection portion 32 is connected to a flange of the secondmain body 21 which is away from thesecond hand grip 22. In at least one embodiment, both thefirst connection portion 31 and thesecond connection portion 32 are substantially a rectangular strip, and thebent portion 33 is substantially an arcuate strip. - Referring to
FIG. 2 , in use, the electronic device can be accommodated in thefirst accommodation space 111, and the related accessories can be accommodated in thesecond accommodation space 211. Optionally, the electronic device and the related accessories can be packed within foam, or other cushion materials, to absorb vibration. And then, thesecond portion 20 is folded on thefirst portion 10 via thebendable joint 30. At this time, the two protrudingblocks 131 are latched into the tworecesses 231 to lock thepacking container 100. Thefirst hand grip 12 is aligned with thesecond hand grip 12 to form anoperation portion 24, and thefirst hole 121 communicates with thesecond hole 221 to define anoperation hole 25 to facilitate holding by users. - The two
protruding blocks 131 and the tworecesses 231 cooperatively form afixing structure 26. In other embodiments, thefirst portion 10 and thesecond portion 20 can be engaged by magnets or other suitable fixing structures. - In summary, the
packaging container 100 can be reused by the purchaser. Thus, thepackaging container 100 is eco-friendly. In addition, thepackaging container 100 has a relatively simple structure and is easy to use. - The embodiments shown and described above are only examples. Many details are often found in the art such as the other features of the packaging container. Therefore, many such details are neither shown nor described. Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present technology have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the present disclosure, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in the details, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of the parts within the principles of the present disclosure, up to and including the full extent established by the broad general meaning of the terms used in the claims. It will therefore be appreciated that the embodiments described above may be modified within the scope of the claims.
