Abstract

A jigsaw puzzle includes a plurality of first pieces, each having a coupling part, and a plurality of second pieces, each having a second coupling part. Each of the first pieces and second pieces is coupled with the corresponding first piece or second piece via the first coupling part and the second coupling part to form a predetermined shape, and each of the second pieces is coupled with the corresponding second piece via the second coupling part to form a 3D structure.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to jigsaw puzzles that can be assembled into 2D and 3D structures.
  • 2. Description of Related Art
  • A jigsaw puzzle is a common puzzle mind game, which is suitable for people from a wide range of age. It heavily depends on the skills of assemble and dissemble from disordered pieces and thus trains the ability to independently think about the color, position, orientation of the puzzle pieces and thereby assisting training in logic as well as attention training and persistent training.
  • However, a conventional jigsaw puzzle assembled to a complete picture is 2-dimensional, which limits the usefulness of a jigsaw puzzle.
  • Although 3-dimensional jigsaw puzzles have been on the market, but this type of jigsaw puzzle is limited on only be able to be assembled into geometrical shapes, or various kinds of 3D shapes such as animals or transportations, and could not be assembled as a 2D picture at the same time.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The objective of the present invention is to provide a jigsaw puzzle formed by a plurality of first pieces and a plurality of second pieces for assembling into a 2D picture, and each of the second pieces could be independently assembled as decorative 3D structure.
  • In order to achieve the foregoing objectives, the jigsaw puzzle according to the present invention comprises: a plurality of first pieces, each having a first coupling part, and a plurality of second pieces, each having a second coupling part, such that each of the first piece and the second piece is assembled with the corresponding first piece or the first pieces and the second pieces is independently coupled with the corresponding first piece and the corresponding second piece via the first coupling part and the second coupling part thereof, to form a predetermined shape. Besides, via the second coupling part, each of the second pieces can be further assembled to the corresponding second piece to form a 3D structure.
  • The present invention is described in the following with specific embodiments in reference with accompanying drawings, so that one skilled in the known art can easily understand other advantages and effects of the present invention from the disclosure of the present invention.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a 3D view of a jigsaw puzzle in accordance with a first embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 is a partial enlarged view of FIG. 1.
  • FIG. 3 is a 3D view of FIG. 2.
  • FIG. 4 is a 3D view of a jigsaw puzzle in accordance with a second embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 5 is a 3D view of FIG. 4.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • Referring both FIGS. 1 and 2, a jigsaw puzzle 1 according to the present invention comprises a plurality of first pieces 11 and a plurality of second pieces 12. Each of the first pieces 11 has a first coupling part 111. Each of the second pieces 12 has a second coupling part 121. Each of the first pieces 11 and the second pieces 12 is coupled with the corresponding first piece 11 or second piece 12 via each of the first coupling part 111 and the second coupling part 121 (as shown in FIG. 2), to form a predetermined shape 13. In an embodiment, the predetermined shape 13 is in geometrical shape, human shape, animal or plant shape, etc. The square shape is used to exemplify the present invention as shown in FIG. 1 herein.
  • In other embodiments, the first piece 11 is only coupled to the other corresponding first piece 11 or the other corresponding second piece 12. Similarly, the second piece 12 is only coupled to the other corresponding second piece 12 or the other corresponding first piece 11.
  • Referring to FIGS. 3-5, when each of the second pieces 12 is separated from each of the first pieces 11, each of the second pieces 12 is independently isolated from the jigsaw puzzle 1, such that each of the second pieces 12 can be coupled with the corresponding second piece 12 via each of the second coupling part 121 to form a 3D structure 14. As illustrated in FIG. 4, each of the second pieces 12 is assembled to form a 3D structure 14, which is a 3D decoration.
  • As shown in FIG. 5, in the situation for assembling into 3D structure 14, each of the second coupling part 121 is assembled with another in a vertical direction, so as to highlight the 3D feature.
  • From above, the first pieces 11 and second pieces 12 of the jigsaw puzzle 1 according to the present invention can be assembled into a conventional jigsaw puzzle, as well as a 3D type jigsaw puzzle which is only assembled by the second piece at the same time, thereby increasing the complexity and variety it can be played, thereby increasing the playfulness for the player.
  • It should be noted that all the embodiments are not intended to limit the present invention. Various modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
