Abstract

An example garment is provided. The garment comprises an apparel textile, and at least one cleaning component permanently attached to a part of the apparel textile, the cleaning component being instantly available for cleaning.

Description

BACKGROUND

Many activities benefit from clean tools and hands. These activities also benefit from efficiency and mental focus. Example activities include, but are not limited to, golf, cooking, and car maintenance. Clean tools and hands are so important for some activities that professionals employ assistants for help. With the convenience of clean tools and hands, a professional can focus on the moment's task. Further, as an alternative approach, towels have been effective for cleaning hands and tools.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Various aspects of the present disclosure are directed to an apparel items with cleaning components, such as wiping solutions. More specifically, and as described in greater detail below, various aspects of the present disclosure are directed to a manner by which clothing items provides wiping solutions strategically incorporated into the garment so that a user can conveniently clean tools, objects, and hands without having to stop the task at hand.
Aspects of the present disclosure described herein disclose allowing the user to utilize a cleaning tool that is incorporated into a garment while maintaining focus on a certain project. Among other things, this approach allows a user to manage aspects of an activity via a practical and affordable solution. The user can maintain efficiency and mental focus, which helps to perform at an acceptable level. While wearing the garment, the instant and permanent availability of wiping elements is convenient and efficient, thus supporting improved concentration and focus during activities.
In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a method for fabricating a garment with a cleaning component is provided. The method comprises obtaining an apparel textile, strategically selecting at least one part of the apparel textile, and attaching the cleaning component to the apparel textile.
In another example in accordance with the present disclosure, a garment is provided. The garment comprises an apparel textile, and at least one cleaning component permanently attached to a part of the apparel textile, the cleaning component being instantly available for cleaning.
FIG. 1A is a front view of a garment with cleaning components (e.g., wiping elements) incorporated into the garment. It should be readily apparent that the present illustration should not be interpreted to be limited by this particular illustrative garment shown in FIG. 1A, and the garment 100 represents a generalized illustration and that other elements may be added or the illustrated elements may be removed, modified, or rearranged in many ways. In FIG. 1, the example garment shown as pants.
Further, it should be noted that the garment may be other clothing articles, and may be used to play golf, such as pants, shorts, shirts, hats and outerwear. the features of wiping element systems, articles of apparel, and methods of making such systems and articles are in accordance with examples of present invention. The wiping elements may be made of textured, absorbent and water impermeable material. Such wiping elements may be sewn, laminated, thermally bonded, or attached by other practical means into position.
The side pocket 102 of the pants 100 has a wiping element 104 incorporated into and running the length of the inner portion of the pocket. Such pocket construction is repeated at location 106. Below the external cuff of the pant 108, a portion of the internal wiping element 110, which is attached to the inside of the pant at 112, is exposed. Such cuff construction is repeated at location 114.
FIG. 1B shows the front view of pants with the external cuff 108 turned up to expose the entire internal wiping element 110. The internal wiping element maintains the preexisting length of the pant. A wiping element 120 is incorporated onto the backing of the external cuff 108, such that when the external cuff 108 is turned up it provides additional and continuous surface area to internal wiping element 110. The wiping element construction is repeated at location 114.
FIG. 1C shows the back view of the pants with wiping element 130 incorporated into and running the length of the inner portion of the back pocket 132. Such pocket construction is repeated at location 136.
FIG. 1D shows the right side view of the pant and medial view of the left pant leg with exposed internal wiping element 110 and zipper 142. Such zipper construction is repeated at location 114.
FIG. 1E shows the elements of pant side pocket and the construction. The pocket outer portion 152 is made of pocket fabric. The pocket middle layer 154 is made of the wiping element. The pocket inner portion 156 is made from the wiping element. When joined together as shown in FIG. 1E, the middle layer creates separate compartments, which can be used to clean items that are placed inside. Further, FIG. 1F shows another view of the elements of pant side pocket and the construction, similar to FIG. 1E.
The example garments illustrated in FIG. 1A-E may be utilized by a user. For example, if worn during a round of golf, a golfer can wipe dirty and/or wet hands within the side 104 (as shown in FIG. 1A) and rear 132 pockets (as shown in FIG. 1C). The user can, when desired, expose internal wiping element 110 by turning up one or both pant external cuffs 108 (as shown in FIG. 1B). In order to smoothly drape internal wiping element 110 over a shoe, the user can adjust the zipper 142 (as shown in FIG. 1D) on the medial side of the internal wiping element (as shown in FIG. 1D). With the cuff(s) turned up, a golfer, any time there is dirt, grass, water or a combination on the club face, such as after a practice stroke or actual stroke, can hold the club by the handle and wipe the club face on the lateral side of the internal/external cuff wiping element of either pant leg. With the cuff(s) turned up, a golfer, while squatting to mark a golf ball on the putting green or reading a putt with ball in hand, can wipe a dirty golf ball on the medial side of the internal/external cuff wiping element. After a round of golf and/or if excess dirt accumulates on the internal/external cuff wiping element, the external cuff can be turned down to conceal the dirt. If the golfer's ball has accumulated dirt, grass, water, or a combination, the golfer can place the ball in the side pocket (as shown in FIG. 1E) and completely envelop and wipe the ball.
FIG. 2 shows the front view of a pair of shorts. The side pocket and back pocket wiping elements are similar to the pants shown in FIG. 1A. For the cuff of the shorts, the wiping element 202 is incorporated into the facing of the external cuff 204. Such cuff construction is repeated at location 206. The shorts are worn in a normal manner and operate in the same way as the pant. However, the shorts described in FIG. 2 have a wiping element 202 integrated onto the facing of the external cuff 204.
FIG. 3A shows the front view of a shirt with wiping element 302 incorporated into the side panel of the shirt. Such shirt side panel construction is repeated at location 304. FIG. 3B shows the left side view of the shirt with the wiping element 302 incorporated into the side panel of the shirt.
FIG. 4A shows a shirt with the wiping element 402 incorporated into the shirt sleeve 404. Such sleeve construction is repeated at location 406. FIG. 4B is the left side view of the shirt with the wiping element 402 comprising the shirt sleeve 404.
As discussed in more detail above, the shirts shown in FIG. 3A, 3B, 4A, and 4B are with integrated wiping element 302 and 402. For example, if worn during a round of golf, a golfer can wipe dirty and/or wet hands on the wiping elements incorporated into the side panel 304 or the sleeve 404.
FIG. 5 shows side view of a hat with the wiping element 502 incorporated into the hat bill 504 and side panel 506. The hat with the integrated wiping element can be utilized by a user. For example, if worn during a round of golf, a golfer can wipe dirty and/or wet hands on the wiping elements incorporated into the bill 504 or the side panel 506.
FIG. 6 shows a jacket with the wiping element 602 incorporated into the side pocket 604 and the underside of the sleeve 606. Such pocket and sleeve construction is repeated at location 608 and 610 respectively. The outerwear jacket with integrated wiping element, the jacket may be utilized by a user. For example, if worn during a round of golf, a golfer can wipe dirty and/or wet hands on the wiping elements incorporated into the pocket 604 or the under the side of the sleeve 606. These wiping dements may remain dry and effective during inclement weather.
It should be noted the example garments (e.g., pants, shorts, shirt, hat and jacket) shown in FIGS. 1-6 can be worn as separates or together as a system. This affords the user the option and flexibility to compose the right amount of strategic wiping elements for the user's preference and/or needs.

Claims

What is claimed is:

1. A garment, comprising:

an apparel textile; and

at least one cleaning component permanently attached to a part of the apparel textile, the cleaning component being instantly available for cleaning,

2. The garment of claim 1, wherein the cleaning component comprises a wiping element used to clean hands, tools and object efficiently and conveniently.

3. The garment of claim 1, wherein the cleaning component is incorporated into the garment by sewing, laminating, thermally bonding, or attaching with the apparel textile.

4. The garment of claim 1, wherein the cleaning component is textured, absorbent, and water impermeable.

5. The garment of claim 2, wherein the wiping element is used to clean water and dirt.

6. The garment of claim 1, wherein the cleaning component provides efficient and convenient means for cleaning hands, tools, and objects.

7. A pocket of a garment, comprising:

a pocket textile and

at least one cleaning component permanently attached to the pocket textile as a pocket divider in the pocket.

8. The garment of claim 7, wherein the cleaning component is sewn, laminated, thermally bonded, or attached to the pocket textile.

9. A method of fabricating a garment with a cleaning component, comprising:

obtaining an apparel textile;

strategically selecting at least one part of the apparel textile; and

attaching the cleaning component to the apparel textile.
