Description

    CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
  • This application claims priority to U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 61/473,294 filed on Apr. 8, 2011.
  • FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • This invention relates furniture Which stores hobby miniatures and models.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • One of the difficulties of displaying hobby miniatures and models is that the hobby miniatures and models frequently are insulated and cannot be seen. Other systems in use generally focus only on protection of the hobby miniatures and models. This is often done with the use of separate foam compartments for each miniature or model. The present system of railing, trays, and sub-frays combined with the use of small magnets allows for organized storage while providing full visibility and accessibility to the miniatures and models for regular use.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention includes methods, systems, and other means for storing and displaying hobby miniatures and models.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWINGS
  • Having thus described the invention in general terms, reference will now be made to the accompanying drawings, which are not necessarily drawn to scale, and wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is an upper perspective front view of the invention shown in use.
  • FIG. 2 is an upper perspective rear exploded view of the invention illustrated with an exemplary configuration.
  • FIG. 3 is a top perspective detail view of the invention component 18 bevel module only.
  • FIG. 4 is a bottom perspective view of the invention component 18 bevel module only.
  • FIG. 5 is a bottom perspective exploded view of the invention
  • FIG. 6 is a section detail view of the invention along line 6-6 in FIG. 1.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • Embodiments of the present invention overcome many of the obstacles associated with storing hobby miniatures and models, and now will be described more fully hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings that show some, but not all embodiments of the claimed inventions. Indeed, the invention may be embodied. in many different forms and should not be construed as limited to the embodiments set forth herein. Rather, these embodiments are provided so that this disclosure will satisfy applicable legal requirements. Like numbers refer to like elements throughout.
  • FIG. 1 shows the invention in use. Exemplary attachment structure 12 is mechanically coupled to railed wall mount module 14, by railed wall mount module mount hole 32, as shown in more detail in FIG. 6. Tray module 16 is immediately adjacent to railed wall mount module 14 and comprises a first bevel module 18, a second bevel module 18, and a third bevel module 18. Notably, the first bevel module 18 can further comprise a first bevel module textured surface, the second bevel module 18 can further comprise a second bevel module textured surface, and the third bevel module 18 can further comprise a third bevel module textured surface as shown in FIG. 3 and a bevel module logo region as shown in FIG. 4.
  • The first bevel module 18 comprises 3×2 tray module 20. 3×2 tray module 20 further comprises six large tray module holes 30. The second bevel module 18 comprises 3×4 tray module 22. 3×4 tray module 22 comprises 12 medium tray module holes 28. The third bevel module 18 comprises 4×4 tray module 24. 4×4 tray module 24 further comprises 16 small tray module holes 26. As shown in FIG. 1, an exemplary hobby in each small tray module hole 26, each medium tray module hole 28, and each large tray module hole 30.
  • FIG. 2 shows an explosion view of the modular display and tray storage system. Railed wall mount module 14 comprises railed wall mount module rail 36 and railed wall module mount hole 32. Tray module 16 comprises tray module rail slot 38. As shown, tray module 16 can be mechanically coupled to railed wall mount module 14 by inserting tray module rail slot 38 on railed wall module rail 36. In some embodiments, railed wall mount module rail 36 further comprises railed wall mount module rail magnets and tray module rail slot 38 further comprises tray module rail slot magnets. This allows a user to mechanically couple tray module 16 to railed wall mount module 14 with magnets.
  • To assemble the device a user inserts 4×4 tray module 24 onto a first tray miniature rest floor 34, and then inserts the first tray miniature rest floor 34 onto the first bevel module 18. The user then inserts the first bevel module 18 onto tray module 16. Next, the user inserts 3×4 tray module 22 onto a second tray miniature rest floor 34 and then inserts the second miniature tray model rest floor 34 onto the second bevel module 18. The user then inserts the second bevel module 18 onto tray module 16. Next, the user inserts 3×2 tray module 20 onto a third tray miniature rest floor 34 and then inserts the third miniature tray model rest floor 34 onto the third bevel module 18. The user then inserts the third is all module 18 onto tray module 16.
  • FIG. 3 shows a corner of bevel module 18. Bevel module 18 comprises bevel module textured surface 42 as noted above.
  • FIG. 4 shows bevel module 18. Bevel module 18 can comprise tray module logo region 40.
  • FIG. 5 shows tray module 16, which comprises railed wall mount module rail 38 as noted above. A user can mechanically couple tray module 16 to railed wall mount module 14 by inserting tray module rail slot 38 onto railed wall mount module rail 36.
  • FIG. 6 shows a. section view of railed wall mount module 14. Railed wall mount module 14 comprises railed wall mount module mount hole 32 and railed wall mount module rail 36 as noted above. Tray module rail slot 38 can easily fit over railed wall mount module rail 36 to mechanically couple tray module 16 to railed wall mount module 14. Further, a user can insert a fastener through railed wall mount module mount hole 32 into exemplary attachment structure 12 using any known technology.
