Abstract

Essentially this invention, the Vita-Spence will aid the consumer in tracking the consumption of vitamins or pills each day for one or two week intervals. It will also eliminate the daily drudge of opening and closing of two to ten jars daily as well as the aforementioned benefits to large number vitamin and pill takers, especially among the elderly people with slightly diminished capabilities.

Description

• The ‘Vita-Spence’ is a three piece device to be molded in clear and colored plastic materials, and will have design features integrated into the molded parts which allow the device to dispense a prefilled number of pills into a central hopper to be taken as scheduled daily, twice a day, etc.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
• This invention, in its creation is intended to simplify the daily routine of opening and closing anywhere from two to ten vitamin bottles daily as well as allowing the elderly who suffer from arthritis or mild memory loss to access their doses with relative ease. This product could have a wide range of applications in a variety of health and fitness related practices.

• The intended use of this invention (Vita-Spence) is to allow the convenience of saving time and effort in a daily activity practiced by a large segment of the population.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
• Fabrication: the three pieces the invention are formed via injection molding. The top piece is see-through plastic. The base plate and the divider plate can be molded from a large variety of colors. The three pieces snap together to form the functioning pill dispensing device.
• Use: this is a 14 compartment device where the compartments can be filled in different ways depending on individual requirements. The typical example is taking pills once a day, loading the compartments with the 14 day supply. To dispense, rotate top to expose the pills for that day, marked by the stick on indicator, which will drop in to the central chamber. Take pills.

1. A 14 compartment device to hold pills

2. Once a compartment is selected the pills are dispensed towards the center of the device.

3. The specially shaped hopper collects the pills from the selected compartment ready for consumption.

4. The dispensing of the pills is achieved by turning the see-though top part of this device. This is easily accomplished by a slight pressure and the rotation of one's palm or hand towards the next compartment.

Through the invention and method of producing this device, it is the inventors claim that this device and the methodology by which it is operated is unique and new and that no other such similar or like device(s) have been invented. Further to this claim, the inventor wishes to carry forward with this application by reducing the scope of this claim to include only the features of this invention, should an existing device preclude the inventor's claim of application methodology.
