A long and hazardous issue with ladies shoes especially that of a high-heeled, pumps, and backless shoes etc., variety have the tendency to slip off the wearer's heels causing discomfort and at times hazardous conditions. The strap is designed to securely loop under the instep and heel of the high-heel, cross over the back of the shoe near the ankle and be buckled around the ankle to secure the shoe from slipping and sliding in a decorative manner. It comes in a variety of colors to mix-and-match with any ladies shoe.
- It is especially convenient if the shoe is slightly too large or has expanded from wear the keeps the wearers shoe secured to the ankle. They are interchangeable to any shoe and any color. The applicant/inventor recognized the benefit of creating such a strap that could add value, comfort and security to ladies shoe that has not been provided any where in the shoe or accessory market. With FairyJanes shoes no longer slip of the heel. This is a real solution that in my own test market research and experience for women who want to feel secure in high heels. With FairyJanes, walking and/or running in any kind of high heel, one can feel totally secure as well as adding the element of pleasing aesthetics to your shoe.
- This is a shoe technology, original in design, form and function. FairyJanes also provide added style and functionality to make older shoes look new and new shoes look unique. This invention is drawn to address the problem of keeping high heeled shoes from slipping from heels and ankles, with security and aesthetics.
- FairyJanes are a functional and aesthetic apparatus/accessory for supporting heeled shoes and boots. The mechanism is a one piece strap that either goes around the under part of the shoe around the heel, crosses over the back of the heel and goes around ankle. There is a left and right Fairy Jane for each foot. It can also be worn looped under the heel/instep and crossed over the top of the ankle and buckled around the ankle. The FairyJanes shoe mechanism is interchangeable to different shoes because it is an entity all it's own that can be removed and then used with different shoes.
- In the drawings
FIG. 1 shows a side view of FairyJanes. It shows how the strap is looped under the instep of the high-heel, crosses over the back the ankle and then buckles around the ankle, with a side buckle. -
FIG. 2 shows the strap on its own and how it looks when not on the shoe similar to an open number eight. -
FIG. 3 shows the alternative way FairyJanes can be worn when crossed over the ankle. -
FIG. 4 shows the back view of how FairyJanes are worn - FairyJanes are a functional and aesthetic apparatus/accessory for supporting heeled shoes and boots. The mechanism is a one piece strap that goes around the under part of the shoe [the instep and heel] around the heel, crosses over the back of the heel and is secured with a buckle around the ankle. There is a left and right FairyJane for the left and right foot. It can also be worn in an alternate way where it is looped under the instep over the top on the foot and secured around the ankle with a buckle. (Please see Drawing section). The FairyJanes mechanism is interchangeable to different shoes as it is a removable entity all it's own that is used with different shoes.
- Disclosed herein is the FairyJanes inventions which is footwear having heel and ankle support for shoes that have a tendency to slip off heel such as pumps, high-heels, mules, backless sandals, etc. According to this invention, it is designed to secure to the wearer's ankle and heel, provide support to prevent slippage of shoe off of heel as well as an aesthetic appeal. It effectively supports the ankle and heel of the shoe to the foot therefore allowing smooth movement in walking with low, medium to high heels and boots during intense activity.
- The present invention is an article of footwear and accessory having a stabilizing element that is added to the shoe structure. The stabilizing element is located primarily in the heel and ankle region of the foot and footwear but extends into both the instep and heel regions. In one embodiment, the stabilizing element includes a strap, buckle, snaps, a stud, and holes to secure the shoe strap from the foot to the ankle. The function of the stabilizing FairyJanes strap is to provide support along the longitudinal length of the foot, the instep, arch and heel so as to stabilize the shoe to the foot in a functional and aesthetic manner. This also permits secure flexion during the use of low, medium and high heeled shoes.
- The foot/shoe support system is provided to facilitate a support of the arch, instep, heel and ankle of a shoe to the ankle in a variety of configurations as well as an aesthetic and interchangeable look for the wearer of the FairyJanes.
- The transportability of straps from one shoe to another is one of the most desirable advantages of the aforementioned shoe. Another highly desirable feature is the ability to rearrange the straps in different methods on the instep, arch and ankle of the foot to secure the heeled shoe or boot. The strap is made in different colors, fabrics, and patterns can be used as the consumer wishes. Yet another advantage of the shoe is the ability to change or remove straps that support the ankle at the heel portion of the shoe.
