Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a negative ion generating hat, and more particularly, to a negative ion generating hat which has a negative ion generating fabric attached to a band portion of the hat and is developed to prevent a negative ion generating coating from falling off as the fabric stretches.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • It has not been such a long time since people became aware of that negative ions have a beneficial effect on a human body and health appliances using negative ions begun to spread in our daily lives.
  • Typical effects of negative ions include: the blood purifying function for purifying blood through alkalization by increasing the ionization rate of mineral components, such as calcium, sodium, and potassium, in the blood, and alleviating pains by vigorously activating cells at regions with sharp pain, as well as blood purification, recovery from fatigue, and reconditioning, with an increase of the ionization rate of calcium and sodium in the blood caused by the generation of substances such as endorphin and enkephalin;
  • the resistance buildup function for increasing resistance against symptoms of infection by boosting the amount of globulin, which is an immunity component of a blood serum;
  • the autonomic nervous system control function for controlling the autonomic nervous system, such as blood vessels and bowel, which reacts to our thinking and feelings, so as to be beneficial to a human body, that is, vitalizing all the organs, such as the nervous system, blood, cells, lymph, etc. to strengthen weakened bodily function and bring energy to the body; and
  • the air purification function for eliminating positive ion present in many toxic air pollutants such as, cigarette smoke, sulfurous acid gas, nitrogen oxide, carbon monoxide, ozone, and a host of harmful organic matters through hardening and precipitation processes, thereby keeping the air clean and fresh.
  • Other effects include dust elimination and sterilization, neutralization of harmful positive ions, such as X-ray, R-ray, ionization radiation, and UV rays emitted from TV, PC, cellular phones, and many other electronic products, cleansing of blood, stabilization of nervous system, recovery from fatigue, increased appetite, promotion of healthy cellular revitalization.
  • Negative ions with the aforementioned effects are used in a manner that negative ion generating minerals are filled in a pipe made of rubber and made into a necklace or bracelet, and worn on a human body.
  • As another examples, Korean Patent Laid-Open No. 10-2006-0108805, entitled “Manufacturing method of abdomen band that give out negative ions” and Korean Patent Laid-Open No. 10-2005-0098141, entitled “Abdominal breathing and elastic abdominal binder for generating negative ions” disclose a manufacturing method in which minerals, such as sericite, chlorite, and illite, are finely ground and coated on the fabric of the abdominal binder.
  • Meanwhile, there were cases where negative ion generating minerals are applied to a hat. However, the formation of a coating layer on the fabric of the hat has limitations in fixing strength and unfavorably acts on the color and design of the hat. Also, in case of coating minerals on the band of the hat, it is difficult to fully impregnate negative ion generating components into the fabric, and the effect of the components is rapidly decreased as the coating is stripped off with repeated stretches.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention has been devised to solve the foregoing problems, and it is, therefore, an object to provide a hat which prevents a coating layer on the surface of a fabric from being easily stripped off in spite of a stretching or creasing of a band.
  • In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a negative ion generating hat 1, which has a stretch band 2 mounted on a lower band of the inner surface, wherein the hat 1 is configured in such a way that an inner 11 of the hat 1 and the band 2 are connected by first and second stitch lines 21 and 22 extending in parallel with each other, respectively, adjacent to upper and lower ends of the band 2, and a predetermined space portion 23 is formed between the band 2 and the inner 11 by means of the first and second stitch lines 21 and 22; and a strip-shaped negative ion generating fabric 3 is inserted into the space portion 23, at least two portions, including both opposite ends of the negative ion generating fabric 3, are fastened to the band 2 by means of a third stitch line 24, and one or more foldable portion 31 is formed by folding the negative ion generating fabric 3 so that the foldable portion 31 is unfolded when the band 2 stretches.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • The above and other objects and features of the present invention will become apparent from the following description of preferred embodiments, given in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which:
  • FIG. 1 is a bottom perspective view in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention;
  • FIG. 2 is a conceptual view according to the embodiment of the present invention;
  • FIG. 3 is a conceptual view showing a negative ion generating fabric in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention; and
  • FIG. 4 is a conceptual view showing a negative ion generating fabric in accordance with still another embodiment of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings such that those skilled in the art can easily understand and implement the present invention.
  • FIG. 1 is a bottom perspective view in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a conceptual view in accordance with the embodiment of the present invention. In accordance with the present invention, a negative ion generating hat 1 has a stretch band 2 mounted on a lower band of the inner surface, wherein the hat 1 is configured in such a way that an inner 11 of the hat 1 and the band 2 are connected by first and second stitch lines 21 and 22 extending in parallel with each other, respectively, adjacent to upper and lower ends of the band 2, and a predetermined space portion 23 is formed between the band 2 and the inner 11 by means of the first and second stitch lines 21 and 22; and a strip-shaped negative ion generating fabric 3 is inserted into the space portion 23, at least two portions, including both opposite ends of the negative ion generating fabric 3, are fastened to the band 2 by means of a third stitch line 24, and one or more foldable portion 31 is formed by folding the negative ion generating fabric 3 so that the foldable portion 31 is unfolded when the band 2 stretches.
  • One of the significant features of the present invention is that negative ion generating materials are not directly coated on a band 2 of a hat 1 but a separate negative ion generating fabric 3 is inserted between the band 2 and the inner 11 of the hat 1 so as to generate negative ions.
  • This is because even if negative ion generating mineral powder and an adhesive solution are mixed together and coated and dried, there is the risk of a coating layer being stripped off with repeated contractions and expansions of the band unless the coating surface has its own elastic restoring force.
  • In addition, even if the coating surface has elastic restoring force, if a portion of the band 2 is brought into contact with any part, such as the forehead, of a person's skin, the touch feeling is not comfortable and sweat cannot be absorbed properly.
  • Accordingly, the present invention is directed to maintaining the durability of the coating layer by implementing in such a manner that the band 2 portion generates negative ions without direct contact with the skin and a foldable portion 31 is simply unfolded and folded rather than the negative ion generating fabric 3's contracting or expanding with the contraction and expansion of the band.
  • In addition, although the present invention illustrates that a space portion 23 is formed for inserting the negative ion generating fabric 3, the most preferred embodiment is to mount and fasten the negative ion generating fabric 3 to the band 2 by means of a third stitch line 24 and is sewn to the inner 11 in an actual manufacturing process.
  • The negative ion generating minerals are well known to those skilled in the art, and may include, for example, sericite, chlorite, illite, etc. Also, a method of powderizing such negative ion emitting minerals and coating them onto a fabric is widely known (see, for example, Korean Patent Laid-Open Nos. 10-2006-0108805 and 10-2005-0098141).
  • FIG. 3 is a conceptual view showing a negative ion generating fabric in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention, which depicts a configuration in which the negative ion generating fabric 3 to be inserted into the space portion 23 is expanded as it is wound in a spiral manner.
  • That is, the above configuration involves flattening of the negative ion generating fabric 3 after spirally wound like a spring. It is preferable that the fabric overlapping at one portion has two largest folds.
  • The foregoing embodiment is directed to the case where the negative ion generating fabric 3 moves more stably with the contraction or expansion of the band by preventing the band 2 at the overlapping portion from bulging inward and causing uncomfortable feeling of wearing.
  • FIG. 4 illustrates still another embodiment in which a yarn 4 having excellent elastic force is stitched to an adjacent portion of the negative ion generating fabric 3 wound in a spiral manner in the above embodiment so that the negative ion generating fabric 3 can be readily contracted upon contraction of the band 2.
  • As described above, the present invention can provide a hat which constantly generates negative ions with more durability by preventing the risk of a coating being stripped off due to the stretching of a fabric in a case where the fabric made of synthetic resin or natural resin is coated with negative ion generating materials.
  • While the present invention has been described with reference to the particular illustrative embodiments, it is not to be restricted by the embodiments but only by the appended claims. It is to be appreciated that those skilled in the art can change or modify the embodiments without departing from the scope and spirit of the present invention.
