Abstract

A racket bag has a body, at least one adjustable strap and a holding strap assembly. The body has a front panel, a rear panel, two side panels and a bottom panel. The side panels and the bottom panel are mounted between the front and rear panels and are collapsible. Each adjustable strap is mounted between the front and rear panels to adjust the distance between the front and rear panels to fit different quantities of rackets that are put between the front and rear panels. The holding strap assembly is attached to the rear panel to allow the user to hold, hang or carry the racket bag.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a racket bag, especially to an adjustable racket bag that is adjustable to different numbers of rackets.
2. Description of the Prior Arts
Racket sports such as squash, tennis and badminton and the like are popular in the world and require players to carry at least one racket such as a tennis racket, badminton racket or the like. Players usually use racket bags to carry the rackets. A player usually needs to carry more than one racket in case the racket gets damaged or broken in play. However, the conventional racket bag comprises a fixed inner cavity and a zip that is selectively moved to open or close the bag. The fixed inner cavity limits a number of rackets that the player may carry. Therefore, the player may only carry a limited number of the rackets with the conventional racket bag. Furthermore, the fixed inner cavity occupies a fixed volume. No matter how many rackets the player carries the conventional racket bag occupies the same volume. Thus, the conventional racket bag has shortcomings that need to be improved.
To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention provides an adjustable racket bag to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main objective of the present invention is to provide an adjustable racket bag. The racket bag has a body, at least one adjustable strap and a holding strap assembly. The body has a front panel, a rear panel, two side panels and a bottom panel. The side panels and the bottom panel are mounted between the front and rear panels and are collapsible. Each adjustable strap is mounted between the front and rear panels to adjust the distance between the front and rear panels to fit different quantities of rackets that are put between the front and rear panels. The holding strap assembly is attached to the rear panel to allow the user to hold, hang or carry the racket bag.
Other objectives, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

With reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, a racket bag in accordance with the present invention comprises a body (10), at least one adjustable strap (20), an optional bracing strap (30), a holding strap assembly (40), multiple optional additional pockets (50) and is used to hold and carry at least one racket (AA).
The body (10) has a front panel (11), a rear panel (12), two side panels (13) and a bottom panel (14). The front panel (11) has a top, a bottom, a front surface, a rear surface and an optional front pocket (111). The front pocket (111) is formed in the front surface of the front panel (1) and is selectively closed by a zipper. The rear panel (12) may be rigid and has a top, a bottom, a front surface and a rear surface. The side panels (13) are collapsible, are formed between the front and rear panels (11, 12) near the bottoms of the front and rear panels (11, 12), are opposite to each other and have an external surface. The bottom panel (14) is collapsible and is formed between the bottoms of the front and rear panels (11, 12).
With further reference to FIGS. 3 and 4, the at least one adjustable strap (20) is mounted between the top of the front panel (11) and the rear panel (12). In a preferred embodiment, two adjustable straps (20) are mounted oppositely between the front and rear panels (11, 12). Each adjustable strap (20) may have two proximal ends, two detaching ends and a detachable connector (21). The proximal ends are attached respectively to the front and rear panels (11, 12). The detachable connector (21) is formed on the detaching ends to selectively hold the detaching ends together and may be a clip, a hook and loop fastener or a buckle.
The bracing strap (30) is formed on the front surface of the rear panel (12) adjacent to the top of the rear panel (12) and has two detaching ends and a detachable connector (31). The detachable connector (31) is formed on the detaching ends to selectively hold the detaching ends together and may be a clip, a hook and loop fastener or a buckle. The bracing strap (30) is used to hold the rackets (AA) securely in the racket bag.
With further reference to FIG. 5, the holding strap assembly (40) is attached to the rear panel (12) to allow a user to carry and to hang the racket bag. The holding strap assembly (40) may comprise a handle strap (41), two connecting straps (42), a shoulder strap (43), two hanging straps (44), a hanging bar (46) and two backpack straps (45, 45A).
The handle strap (41) is attached to the top of the rear panel (12) to carry the racket bag by hand, suspend the racket bag on a hook and the like.
The connecting straps (42) are attached separately to the rear panel (12), and each connecting strap (42) has a proximal end, a detaching end and a half-connector (421). The proximal end of the connecting strap (42) is attached to the rear panel (12). The half-connector (421) is formed on the detaching end of the connecting strap (42) and may half of a clip, a hook and loop fastener or a buckle.
The shoulder strap (43) is adjustable, is connected detachably to the connecting straps (42) and has two detaching ends and two half-connectors (431). The detaching ends of the shoulder strap (43) are selectively connected respectively to the detaching ends of the connecting straps (42). The half-connectors (431) are formed respectively on the detaching ends of the shoulder strap (43), correspond to and selectively connect respectively to the half-connectors (421) of the connecting strap (42) and may be half of a clip, a hook and loop fastener or a buckle.
Each hanging strap (44) is connected detachably to a corresponding connecting strap (42) and has a proximal end, a detaching end and a half-connector (441). The proximal end of the hanging strap (44) is attached to the rear panel (12). The half-connector (441) is formed on the detaching end of the hanging strap (44), corresponds to and selectively connects to the half-connector (421) of a corresponding connecting strap (42) and may be half of a clip, a hook and loop fastener or a buckle.
With further reference to FIG. 9, the hanging bar (46) is attached to the top of the rear panel (12).
With further reference to FIG. 8, the backpack straps (45, 45A) are adjustable, may be respectively connected detachably to the hanging straps (44) or may be respectively mounted between the bottom of the rear panel (12) and the hanging bar (46). Each backpack strap (45) may have a proximal end, a detaching end and a half-connector (451). The proximal end of the backpack strap (45) is attached to the rear panel (12). The half-connector is formed respectively on the detaching end of the backpack strap (45) and corresponds to and selectively connects to the half-connector (441) of a corresponding hanging strap (44) and may be half of a clip, a hook and loop fastener or a buckle.
When the shoulder strap (43) connects to the connecting straps (42), the racket bag as described can be carried on the shoulder of the user. When the racket bag as described needs to be hung on a transverse rod (BB) such as a chair, handlebar or the like, the corresponding connecting strap (42) and hanging strap (44) can be mounted around the transverse rod (BB) and connected to each other using the half-connectors. When the backpack straps (45) connects to the hanging straps (44), the user can carry the racket bag as described on the back.
The additional pockets (50) are attached to the external surface of the side panels (13) to contain additional things such a ball container (CC), shuttlecock container, canteen, or the like.
With further reference to FIGS. 6 and 7, the racket bag as described has numerous advantages. When the rackets (AA) are put between the front and rear panels (11, 12), the user can adjust the distance between the front and rear panels (11, 12) using the adjustable strap (20) and the collapsible side and bottom panels (13, 14) to fit different quantities of rackets (AA). Therefore, the racket bag as described may contain and fit multiple rackets (AA) well by adjusting the adjustable strap (20) and the collapsible side and bottom panels (13, 14). Furthermore, a volume of the racket bag as described changes with the different quantity of rackets (AA) because the adjustable strap (20) adjusts the distance between the front and rear panels (11, 12). Therefore, the racket bag as described hold each racket securely preventing the rackets from damaging each other when in transit and raising comfort of the user carrying the racket bag.

Changes may be made in the details, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.

Claims

1. A racket bag comprising:

a body having

a front panel having a top, a bottom, a front surface and a rear surface;

a rear panel having a top, a bottom, a front surface and a rear surface;

two side panels being collapsible, being formed between the front and rear panels near the bottoms of the front and rear panels, being opposite to each other and having an external surface; and

a bottom panel being collapsible and being formed between the bottoms of the front and rear panels;

at least one adjustable strap being mounted between the top of the front panel and the rear panel and being detachable; and

a holding strap assembly being attached to the rear panel.

2. The racket bag as claimed in claim 1, wherein each one of the adjustable strap has

two proximal ends being attached respectively to the front and rear panels;

two detaching ends; and

a detachable connector being formed on the detaching ends to selectively hold the detaching ends together.

3. The racket bag as claimed in claim 1, wherein the holding strap assembly comprises

two connecting straps being attached separately to the rear panel, and each connecting strap having

a proximal end being attached to the rear panel;

a detaching end; and

a half-connector being formed on the detaching end of the connecting strap; and

a shoulder strap being adjustable, being connected detachably to the connecting straps and having

two detaching ends being selectively connected respectively to the detaching ends of the connecting straps; and

two half-connectors being formed respectively on the detaching ends of the shoulder strap, corresponding to and selectively connecting respectively to the half-connectors of the connecting strap.

4. The racket bag as claimed in claim 1, wherein the holding strap assembly comprises

a proximal end being attached to the rear panel;

a detaching end; and

a half-connector being formed on the detaching end of the connecting strap; and

two hanging straps being respectively connected detachably to the connecting straps, and each hanging strap having

a proximal end being attached to the rear panel;

a detaching end; and

a half-connector being formed on the detaching end of the hanging strap, corresponding to and selectively connecting to the half-connector of a corresponding connecting strap.

5. The racket bag as claimed in claim 3, wherein the holding strap assembly further has two hanging straps being respectively connected detachably to the connecting straps, and each hanging strap having

a proximal ends being attached to the rear panel;

a detaching end; and

6. The racket bag as claimed in claim 1, wherein the holding strap assembly comprises

a proximal end being attached to the rear panel;

a detaching end; and

a half-connector being formed on the detaching end of the hanging strap, corresponding to and selectively connecting to the half-connector of a corresponding connecting strap; and

two backpack straps being adjustable, being respectively connected detachably to the hanging straps, and each backpack strap having

a proximal end being attached to the rear panel;

a detaching end; and

a half-connector being formed respectively on the detaching end of the backpack strap and corresponding to and selectively connecting to the half-connector of a corresponding hanging strap.

7. The racket bag as claimed in claim 2, wherein the holding strap assembly has

a proximal end being attached to the rear panel;

a detaching end; and

a half-connector being formed on the detaching end of the connecting strap;

a shoulder strap being adjustable, being selectively connected detachably to the connecting straps and having

two half-connectors being formed respectively on the detaching ends of the shoulder strap, corresponding to and selectively connecting respectively to the half-connectors of the connecting strap;

two hanging strap being respectively connected detachably to the connecting straps, and each hanging strap having

a proximal end being attached to the rear panel;

a detaching end; and

a proximal end being attached to the rear panel;

a detaching end; and

8. The racket bag as claimed in claim 1 further comprising a bracing strap being formed on the front surface of the rear panel adjacent to the top of the rear panel and having

two detaching ends; and

a detachable connector being formed on the detaching ends of the bracing strap to selectively hold the detaching ends of the bracing strap together.

9. The racket bag as claimed in claim 7 further comprising a bracing strap being formed on the front surface of the rear panel adjacent to the top of the rear panel and having

two detaching ends; and

10. The racket bag as claimed in claim 9, wherein

the detachable connectors of the adjustable strap and the bracing strap are clips; and

the half-connectors of the connecting straps and shoulder strap are half of a clip.

11. The racket bag as claimed in claim 9, wherein

the connectors of the at least one adjustable strap and the bracing strap are hook and loop fasteners;

the half-connectors of the connecting straps and the shoulder strap half of a hook and loop fastener.

12. The racket bag as claimed in claim 1 further comprising multiple additional pockets being attached to the external surface of the side panels.

13. The racket bag as claimed in claim 1, wherein the holding strap assembly further has a handle strap being attached to the top of the rear panel.

14. The racket bag as claimed in claim 1, wherein the rear panel is rigid.

15. The racket bag as claimed in claim 1, wherein the front panel of the body has a front pocket being formed in the front surface of the front panel and being selectively closed by a zipper.

16. The racket bag as claimed in claim 1, wherein holding strap assembly has

a hanging bar being attached to the top of the rear panel; and

two backpack straps being adjustable and being respectively mounted between the bottom of the rear panel and the hanging bar.
