Abstract

A spirit produced from any suitable ingredients that has A maximum ABV of 47 94 Proof is carbonated during the bottling process to contain not less than two volumes of carbonation. The carbonated spirit after filling into the bottles is closed with a cap to retain the carbonation in the bottle until opened for use

Description

  • This invention relates to the carbonation of alcoholic spirits of Not less than 20 ABV 40 proof
  • Spirit can be produced from many different ingredients and produced In many different countries. It is not restricted to Russia or Poland which have become famous for such products, Most common ingredients are potato, grain, malt, molasses, agave, fruits from which spirit is distilled.
  • The purpose of this invention is to change the texture of the spirit itself unmixed with any flavoured carbonated water to create a pleasant slightly tingling sensation to the tongue, and in so doing bring out the special characteristics of the spirit used without decreasing the strength of the spirit
  • The invention does not relate to any one specific type of spirit used, but to a change in the spirit from a still product to a sparkling spirit by the introduction of carbonation to the spirit of not less than 2 volumes making the entire bottled spirit carbonated without the addition of carbonated water or lowering the ABV to less than 20
  • Unlike mixed flavour drinks that use flavoured soda water, commonly called Alco Pops, carbonated Spirit relates to the carbonation of the Spirit itself and the carbonation is not the result of added carbonated water
  • The invention takes spirit as defined above and introduces Carbonation to the spirit at a minimum of ABV 20 and 2 volumes carbonation during the bottling process, which is bottled and sealed to retain the carbonation before use. This process can be applied to any spirit and is not restricted by ABV below 94 Proof or 47 ABV but can not go higher
  • A specific embodiment of this invention exists in the product on the market in the USA under the brand name of O2 Sparkling Vodka. A premium grade grain carbonated Vodka of 40 ABV, 80 Proof
