Abstract
The lens locker is a travel sized container consisting of separate compartments for storage of eye contact lenses and eye contact lens solution. The top portion of container shares a common base and consists of two rounded reservoirs, which are threaded to accept rounded closure caps that seal the reservoirs. Left cap is identified by a stamped letter L and right cap identified by a stamped letter R. The interior bottoms of reservoirs share common multi domed shaped forms on the surface for easy retrieval of contact lenses. The lower outer wall of base is threaded to attach the lower portion of container. The upper most part of interior wall of lower portion is threaded to accept base of top portion of container; creating a sealed unit. The lower portion of container is hollow in order to house contact lens solution.
Description
- The lens locker is a travel sized container with separate compartments for the convenience of storing and locating contact lens solution and contact lenses. The lens locker is designed to prevent loss of fluid and entry of contaminants.
- A travel sized container consisting of separate compartments for storage of eye contact lenses and eye contact lens solution. The top portion of container shares a common base and consists of two rounded reservoirs with removable caps. One can easily identify the left and right contact by the stamped letter L or R on the reservoirs cap. The interior bottoms of the two reservoirs share common multi dome shaped forms on surface for easy retrieval of contact lenses. The bottom portion of container is the third reservoir that engages the threaded base of top portion of container creating this unique travel sized container.
- Whether it be travel, school, long work hours, unexpected stays away from home, activities that require removal or cleaning of contacts, this container keeps contact lenses and lens solution in one accessible area. Improve contact lens care. Reduce the risk of dry lenses. Prevent the loss of solution. Proper lens care is essential in preventing contact lens related eye complications.

FIG. 2 is an exploded top perspective view with removable cap and detached upper and lower portions of the lens locker container; -
FIG. 3 is an exploded bottom perspective view with removable cap and detached upper and lower portions of the lens locker container. - While the present invention will be described fully hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which a particular embodiment is shown, it is understood at the outset, persons skilled in the art may modify the invention herein described while still achieving the desired result. Accordingly, the accompanying descriptions are to be understood as a broad informative disclosure directed to persons skilled in the appropriate arts and not as limitations of the present invention.
- Referring to the drawings in detail, and initially to
FIGS. 1-3 , the container arrangement 10 in accordance with the present invention, is made of any molded plastic or liquid impermeable material, and includes a base 12, aright reservoir 14 andleft reservoir 16 positioned in base 12, aright closure cap 18, a left closure cap 20 and a bottom reservoir 22. - The base 12, as shown in
FIGS. 1 and 2 , is circular and of a general constant thickness with a machine threadedouter wall 24 to allow for attachment of bottom reservoir 22. Theright reservoir 14 is coaxial to theleft reservoir 16 and within an equal proximal and distal end of base 12. The bottom insidesurface 26 of theright reservoir 14, as shown inFIG. 2 , is concave and embossed with multi dome shaped forms to prevent the contact lens from adhering to the surface. The bottomoutside surface 28 of theright reservoir 14, as shown inFIG. 3 , is convex and reflects the indentations of the multi dome shaped forms. Theoutside surface 30 of theright reservoir 14 extends upward and is machine threaded to allow contact ofright closure cap 18. Theinside surface 32 of theright reservoir 14 extends upward and has a smooth surface. - The bottom inside
surface 34 of theleft reservoir 16 is concave and embossed with multi dome shaped forms to prevent the contact lens from adhering to the surface. The bottom outsidesurface 36 of theleft reservoir 16 is convex and reflects the indentations of the multi dome shaped forms. Theoutside surface 38 of theleft reservoir 16 extends upward and is machine threaded to allow contact of left closure cap 20. The inside surface 40 of theleft reservoir 16 extends upward and has a smooth surface. - The
right closure cap 18, as shown inFIGS. 1 , 2 and 3, is circular in shape and is designed to be attached to theoutside surface 30 of theright reservoir 14. Theright closure cap 18 has aninside surface 42, as shown inFIG. 3 , which is machine threaded to engage theoutside surface 30 ofright reservoir 14. Theright closure cap 18, as shown inFIG. 2 , has anoutside surface 44 with a centrally located stamped letter “R” 46 identifying the right contact lens. Theright closure cap 18 has an outside ribbedwall surface 62 for effortless grip. - The left closure cap 20, as shown in
FIGS. 1 , 2 and 3, is circular in shape and designed to be attached to theoutside surface 38 of theleft reservoir 16. The left closure cap 20 has aninside surface 48 which is machine threaded to engage theoutside surface 38 ofleft reservoir 16. The left closure cap 20, as shown inFIG. 1 , has anoutside surface 50 with a centrally located stamped letter “L” 52 identifying the left contact lens. The left closure cap 20 has an outside ribbed wall surface 60 for effortless grip. - The bottom reservoir 22, as shown in
FIG. 2 , is hollow, circular in shape and designed to be attached to theouter wall 24 of the base 12. The bottom reservoir 22 has asmooth interior surface 54 which includes threads 56 adapted to engage the threadedouter wall 24 of base 12. Thefoot 58 of the bottom reservoir 22, as shown inFIG. 3 , is relatively planar for level placement upon a flat surface. - Although illustrated and described herein with reference to specific embodiments, the present invention nevertheless is not intended to be limited to the details shown. Rather, various modifications may be effected in the details within the scope and range of equivalents of the claims without departing from the spirit of the invention.
