Abstract
An interconnectable cosmetics container includes a body. The body includes a recess defined in a side thereof and a protrusion on another side thereof. The protrusion of the body of the interconnectable cosmetics container is releasably engageable in a recess of a similarly constructed interconnectable cosmetics container. Thus, the interconnectable cosmetics containers can be connected together as many as desired to save space, which is advantageous to packaging, transport, and storage.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a cosmetics container. In particular, the present invention relates to an interconnectable cosmetics container.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- Bottles or containers of various shapes and sizes have been designed to contain cosmetics such as eyelash liner, eyeliner liquid, lip juice, lipstick, nail polish, etc. Packaging, transport, and storage are always problems to mass-produced items. The present invention is intended to provide a cosmetics container to mitigate and/or obviate these problems.
- An objective of the present invention is to provide an interconnectable cosmetics container that can be releasably connected to another similarly constructed interconnectable cosmetics container, thereby saving the cost for packaging, transport, and storage.
- An interconnectable cosmetics container in accordance with the present invention comprises a body. The body comprises a recess defined in a side thereof and a protrusion on another side thereof. Further, the interconnected cosmetics containers are more stable when placed upright and may provide an aesthetic effect.
- Preferably, the recess and the protrusion of the interconnectable cosmetics container are complementarily configured.
- Preferably, the recess and the protrusion are rectangular, star-polygonal or polygonal.
- The side in which the recess of the interconnectable cosmetics container is defined and another side of the interconnectable cosmetics container on which the protrusion is formed may be opposite or adjacent to each other.
- Other objects, advantages, and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an interconnectable cosmetics container in accordance with the present invention. -
FIG. 2 is another perspective view showing another side of the interconnectable cosmetics container inFIG. 1 . -
FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing interconnection of a plurality of interconnectable cosmetics containers in accordance with the present invention. -
FIG. 4 is a sectional view of the interconnectable cosmetics container in accordance with the present invention. -
FIG. 5 is a sectional view showing interconnection of two interconnectable cosmetics containers in accordance with the present invention. -
FIG. 6 is a sectional view showing interconnection of three interconnectable cosmetics containers in accordance with the present invention. -
FIG. 7 is a perspective view illustrating a modified embodiment of the cosmetics container in accordance with the present invention. -
FIG. 8 is a top view illustrating interconnection of a plurality of interconnectable cosmetics containers inFIG. 7 . - Referring to
FIGS. 1, 2 , and 4, an interconnectable cosmetics container in accordance with the present invention is designated by 1 and generally comprises abody 12 and acap 11. In the illustrated embodiment, anapplicator 111 is attached to thecap 11 and received in thebody 12 when not in use. - Of more importance, a
recess 121 is defined in a side of thebody 12 and aprotrusion 122 is formed on another side of thebody 12. In the illustrated embodiment, therecess 121 and theprotrusion 122 are located on two sides of thebody 12 opposite to each other. Nevertheless, therecess 121 and theprotrusion 122 may be located on two sides of thebody 12 adjacent to each other. Theprotrusion 122 and therecess 121 are preferably complementarily configured. - As illustrated in
FIGS. 3, 5 , and 6, theprotrusion 122 of theinterconnectable cosmetics container 1 in accordance with the present invention can be engaged into therecess 121 of another (or a similarly constructed)interconnectable cosmetics container 1. Thus, theinterconnectable cosmetics containers 1 can be connected together as many as desired to save space, which is advantageous to packaging, transport, and storage. Further, the interconnectedcosmetics containers 1 are more stable when placed upright. - The
recess 121 and theprotrusion 122 of theinterconnectable cosmetics container 1 inFIG. 1 are substantially rectangular.FIG. 7 shows a modified embodiment of the invention, wherein theinterconnectable cosmetics container 1A includes abody 12A with a star-polygonal recess 121A and a star-polygonal protrusion 122A. As illustrated inFIG. 8 , a plurality ofcosmetics containers 1A with star-polygonal recess 121A and protrusion 122A can be connected together to form a star-like arrangement, providing an aesthetic effect in addition to the space-saving effect. In alternative arrangements, therecess 121A and the protrusion 122A can be polygonal or of any other desired shapes. - Although the invention has been explained in relation to the preferred embodiments, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
