Abstract
An enclosed-type cellular shade structure includes a plurality of interconnected cellular pieces uniformly arranged from top to bottom and fixed between a head rail and a bottom rail to form an enclosed-type cellular shade with free ends disposed at both end edges thereof, permitting the cellular pieces to be raised or lowered by a lift cord wherein both side edges of each cellular piece are defined by a long bent section and a short bent section that are respectively equipped with a coupling end and a fixing end to be securely attached to the bottom surface of each immediate upper cellular piece thereby. Therefore, when the cellular shade is fully expanded, the short bent sections thereof will be appropriately stretched into a flat surface, economically saving both time and efforts in cleaning as well as reinforcing a uniform expansion of the cellular pieces to achieve the best application state thereby.
Description
- The present invention is related to an enclosed-type cellular shade structure, including a plurality of interconnected cellular pieces uniformly arranged from top to bottom and fixed between a head rail and a bottom rail to form an enclosed-type cellular shade wherein both side edges of each cellular piece are defined by a long bent section and a short bent section with a coupling end and a fixing end respectively disposed thereon so that, when the cellular shade are fully expanded, the short bent sections thereof will be appropriately stretched into a flat surface to support the long bent sections thereof unfolding in an even and consecutive transverse V-shaped patterned surface, economically saving both time and efforts in cleaning as well as reinforcing a uniform expansion of the cellular pieces to achieve the best application state thereby.
- Please refer to
FIG. 1 . A conventionalcellular shade 10 comprises a head rail 11, abottom rail 12, and a plurality of interconnected hollow and hexagonalcellular pieces 13 sequentially arranged from top to bottom and fixed between the head rail 11 and thebottom rail 12 thereof to form a honeycomb shade wherein thecellular pieces 13 can be freely raised or lowered via alift cord 14 in the collection or expansion operation thereof. - There are some drawbacks to such conventional
cellular shade 10. First, no matter thecellular shade 10 is fully expanded as shown inFIG. 1 or collected as shown inFIG. 2 , both lateral edges of eachcellular piece 13 are symmetrically folded into bends of identical length, which can easily accumulate dust at both bending spots therein. Thus, eachcellular piece 13 must be carefully cleaned from both lateral edges, which can take a lot of time and efforts and increase the difficulty and inconvenience in the cleaning thereof. Second, due to the lack of any support design, when thecellular shade 10 is fully expanded, thecellular pieces 13 tends to display in an uneven manner with some of thecellular pieces 13 fully expanded and some partially unfolded, which can ruin the look of thecellular shade 10 as a whole and reduce its decorative effect in display. - It is, therefore, the primary purpose of the present invention to provide an enclosed-type cellular shade structure, including a plurality of interconnected cellular pieces uniformly arranged from top to bottom and fixed between a head rail and a bottom rail to form an enclosed-type cellular shade wherein both side edges of each cellular piece are defined by a long bent section and a short bent section with a coupling end and a fixing end respectively disposed thereon so that, when the enclosed-type cellular shade is fully expanded, the short bent sections connected by the fixing ends thereof will be appropriately stretched into a flat surface that can be simply flapped to remove dust there-from. Thus, only a patterned surface disposed at the long bent sections thereof is required to be wiped and cleaned, economically saving time and efforts in the cleaning thereof to achieve the best application state.
- It is, therefore, the second purpose of the present invention to provide an enclosed-type cellular shade structure wherein, when the cellular shade is fully expanded, the short bent sections connected by the fixing ends thereof are appropriately stretched into a flat surface to form a locating support thereby so that the long bent sections disposed at the other side thereof can be sequentially unfolded and accurately displayed in an even and consecutive transverse V-shaped patterned surface, facilitating better visual effect and a uniform expansion of the present invention thereby.

FIG. 3 . The present invention is related to an enclosed-type cellular shade structure, including ahead rail 21, abottom rail 22, and a plurality of interconnectedcellular pieces 23 that, uniformly arranged from top to bottom between thehead rail 21 and thebottom rail 22 thereof, are sequentially linked one to another to form a honeycomb and enclosed-typecellular shade 20 with free ends disposed at both end edges thereof, permitting thecellular pieces 23 to be raised or lowered by alift cord 24 in the collection or expansion operation thereof. Both side edges of eachcellular piece 23 are defined by along bent section 231 and ashort bent section 232 that, made in unequal length, are respectively equipped with acoupling end 233, and afixing end 234 of identical length to be securely attached to the bottom surface of each immediate uppercellular piece 23 thereby. Therefore, the unequal length design of the long and 231, 232 of eachshort bent sections cellular piece 23 is cooperatively operated with the assembly of the coupling and 233, 234 thereof. When the enclosed-typefixing ends cellular shade 20 is fully expanded, theshort bent sections 232 disposed at one side of thecellular shade 20 thereof are precisely connected by thefixing ends 234 thereof and appropriately stretched into aflat surface 201 as shown inFIG. 4 . Besides, the stretchedcellular pieces 23 will sequentially unfold in an equal space to form an evenly expanded enclosed-typecellular shade 20, permitting thelong bent sections 231 disposed at the other side of thecellular shade 20 thereof to unfold in a consecutive and uniform transverse V-shaped patternedsurface 202 thereby. Thus, theflat surface 201 of the enclosed-typecellular shade 20 can be simply flapped to remove the dust there-from in an easy manner, and only the patternedsurface 202 disposed at the other side thereof is required to be wiped and cleaned, economically saving both time and efforts in the cleaning of thecellular shade 20 as well as reinforcing an even expansion of thecellular pieces 23 to achieve the best state of application thereof. - Moreover, the
coupling end 233 and thefixing end 234 of eachcellular piece 23 can be symmetrically arranged to extend inwards as shown inFIG. 3 or bent to extend outwards as shown inFIG. 5 . Otherwise, thecoupling end 233 and thefixing end 234 thereof can also be correspondingly folded to extend towards the same direction like towards the left side as shown inFIG. 6 , or towards the right side as shown inFIG. 7 .
Claims (4)
1. An enclosed-type cellular shade structure, including a plurality of interconnected cellular pieces uniformly arranged from top to bottom and fixed between a head rail and a bottom rail wherein the cellular pieces thereof are sequentially linked one to another to form a honeycomb and enclosed-type cellular shade with free ends disposed at both end edges thereof, permitting the cellular pieces to be raised or lowered by a lift cord in the collection or expansion operation thereof; the present invention being characterized by that,
—each cellular piece being made up of a long bent section and a short bent section disposed at both side edges thereon, and the long and short bent sections thereof being respectively equipped with a coupling end and a fixing end to be securely attached to the bottom surface of each immediate upper cellular piece thereby; therefore, via the aforementioned structure, when the cellular shade is fully expanded, the short bent sections disposed at one side thereof will be appropriately stretched into a flat surface to support the long bent sections unfolding in an accurate and consecutive transverse V-shaped patterned surface, economically saving both time and efforts in the cleaning of the enclosed-type cellular shade as well as reinforcing a uniform expansion of the cellular pieces to achieve the best application state thereby.
2. The enclosed-type cellular shade structure as claimed in claim 1 wherein the coupling end and the fixing end disposed at both side edges of each cellular piece can be arranged to extend inwards in a symmetrical manner.
3. The enclosed-type cellular shade structure as claimed in claim 1 wherein the coupling end and the fixing end of each cellular piece can also be folded to extend outwards in a symmetrical manner.
4. The enclosed-type cellular shade structure as claimed in claim 1 wherein the coupling end and the fixing end of each cellular piece can also be correspondingly folded to extend towards the same direction (like towards the left or the right side thereof).
