By the precise control to the tool shaft, the tools can be changed quickly and correctly.
Description
- The present invention relates to an inducing mechanism for precisely positioning the tool arm during change of the tools by using a signal coupler to detect the movement of the output shaft of the motor and the cam axle.

tool changer 10 as shown inFIG. 1 includes amotor 12 connected to thebody 11 of the machine so as to drive asmall befell gear 121 which drives alarge bevel gear 13 and acam 131 on thelarge bevel gear 13. Thecam 131 is cooperated with abearing 141 to drive atube 14 which is connected to asleeve 151 of atool shaft 15 so that thetool shaft 15 can be indirectly driven. Thelarge bevel gear 13 has acam 132 which activates aswing arm 16 so as to move thetool shaft 15 axially in thetube 14. Asprocket 133 is connected to a side of anaxle 17 of thelarge bevel gear 13 and achain 134 is connected between thesprocket 133 and anothersprocket 135 to rotate asignal wheel 18. As shown inFIG. 2 , a plurality of inducingmembers 19 are connected to thesignal wheel 18 and detects the angular positions and angles of thesignal wheel 18 so as to control the rotation angle of thetool shaft 15. By controlling the angles and the travel of thetool shaft 15, thetool arm 152 at the lower end of thetool shaft 15 may catch or release the tools by two catch ends of thetool arm 152. - However, the transmission efficiency by the small and

Especially for thesignal wheel 18, it requires a mechanism outside of thebody 11 to install thesignal wheel 18, such as apivot shaft 181, aseal 182 and acap 183 on thebody 11. The whole mechanism is bulky and complicated. The manufacturing cost for thecam 131 is high andchain 134 needs to be adjusted manually and affects the precision of thesignal wheel 18. Thesignal area 184 of thesignal wheel 18 may not be matched with the inducingmembers 19 such that thetool shaft 15 cannot be precisely positioned. Besides, in order to smoothly operate the 121, 13, lubrication oil is filled in thebevel gears body 11. When moving thebody 11, the lubrication oil could leak if thebody 11 is put in a wrong orientation. - The present invention intends to provide an inducing mechanism that provides a signal coupler to directly transfer the power of the motor and a inducing frame is used to obtain a precise and stable control feature. The mechanism includes less number of parts and can be manufactured at lower cost.
- The present invention relates to a tool changing device of a machine which includes a motor disposed to an outside of the machine body in which a cam axle is located and a tool shaft is connected to the body. A tool arm is connected to an end of the tool shaft and has two catch ends on two ends of the tool arm so that when the tool arm is rotated by the motor via the cam axle to catch desired tools. An inducing frame is connected between the body and the motor. A plurality of inducing members are radially connected in the inducing frame and located corresponding to the space. A signal coupler is connected to an output shaft of the motor and the cam axle. A plurality of inducing portions are connected to an outer periphery of the signal coupler and located corresponding to the inducing members so as to control the motor.
- The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
