Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to voltage adjustment devices, and in particular to an electronically-frequency-controlled voltage adjustment device which is used to retain the freshness of foods in unfreezing or frying. The present invention also relates to a method for retaining the freshness of foods by using the same.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • Currently, technologies for retaining freshness of foods and unfreezing foods use electrostatic technology. In that, transformers are used to boost the voltages and then resistance at output end is limited. In unfreezing process, voltages are applied to the foods. However there is a big trouble in the unfreezing process, that is a very long time period is necessary, for example, 8 to 10 hours are necessary to unfreeze foods from −6° C. to −2° C. Not only time is consumed, but also power is wasted. Thereby the quality of the food is deteriorated in the unfreezing process.
  • In U.S. Pat. No. 5,034,236A, a method for unfreezing food is provided, in that high voltage negative electrons are applied to foods. Then the foods can be unfroze at the temperature ranger of −3° C. to 3° C. However it also needs time period of 8 to 10 hours from publication documents or even a longer time period is necessary. Furthermore, the voltage in that method is unchanged, it is a fixed value.

  • To achieve above objects, the present invention provides An electronically-frequency-controlled voltage adjustment device comprises a power supply for providing voltages to an object; a temperature sensor for sensing temperatures of the object; a temperature control unit receiving temperature signals from the temperature sensor and outputting temperature variation signals; a voltage adjustment unit for adjusting output voltages of the power supply based on the temperature variation signals from the temperature control unit; and a frequency generator for generating oscillating current intermittently.
  • Furthermore, a method for unfreezing and retaining the freshness of foods is also provided. The method comprises the steps of: supply voltages by using a power supply; placing electrodes in an isolating space; providing the voltages to a food to be process through the electrodes from the power supply; sensing temperatures of the food by using a temperature sensor; receiving temperature signals from the temperature sensor and outputting temperature variation signals by using a temperature control unit; and adjusting the supply voltages based on the signals from the temperature control unit by using a voltage adjustment unit.
