Abstract

A container is disclosed for individual fishing lures and attachment to lures i.e., leader and snap-swivel.
The rectangular-shaped tube has a smaller half-circle shaped tube molded to the inside top wall. The bottom of the large rectangular-shaped tube has an open slot for access to large cavity and smaller half-circle cavity. The sidewalls the large rectangular tube also have open slots for access to smaller rectangular cavities. Both ends of large rectangular rube and all smaller cavities described above are open.
The rectangular tube described is made of clear, flexible material to allow for multiple openings and closings as well as quick observation of contents stored within.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
  • 1. Field of Invention [0001]
  • The present invention relates to containers, More specifically, it relates to easy open containers, particularly useful for holding individually pre-tied lures with leader and snap-swivel attached. [0002]
  • 2. Comparison to Prior Art [0003]
  • A variety of containers have been proposed for fishing lures. For example, Beneke, U.S. Pat. No. 4,681,220 . . . Crosby, U.S. Pat. No. 5,533,297, . . . Allard, U.S. Pat. No. 4,437,258. None of the previously proposed containers allow a fisherman to safely store all aspects of a pre-tied lure to include individual lure, hook of individual lure, leader, and snap swivel in a color coded clear unbreakable container that also protects the leader from tangling or knotting. [0004]
  • SUMMARY OF INVENTION
  • The present invention solves many problems faced by today's fishermen. The present invention is a container that allows a fisherman to safely store and/or protect an individual lure with leader and snap-swivel attached. This allows the lure to be pre-tied and ready for use without tangles or knots. [0005]
  • The present invention has separate cavities for the lure, the hook of the lure, the leader and optional snap-swivel. The present invention is clear and allows the fisherman to easily see what lure is being stored and protected, and the color-coded cavities let the fisherman know what weight of leader is attached. The present invention allows the fisherman to carry individually pre-tied lures in a pocket or vest safely or store them neatly in a tackle box without tangles or knots. [0006]
  • The present invention is open on both ends for drainage and proper drying of all cavities being used to store all items. The present invention is made of clear flexible, waterproof, unbreakable material designed for multiple uses. [0007]
