Abstract

An evergreen Christmas tree is a Christmas tree dug out with root having means to split root core from root skin with a thin portion of outboard root core, means to bend said root skins with thin cores from a vertical plane into a horizontal plane, means to cut the root core, means to protect the root skins and root cores from rotten, means to hold the tree steady by a fixture, and means to hold and not to hold earth and water so that the tree will be alive continuously indoor and outdoor for the years to come.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The purpose is very simple - - - to keep the Christmas tree alive so that it can be moved outdoor after Christmas, and moved indoor for the next coming Christmas without buying a new tree. Further more on each Christmas season it will be able to start decorate Christmas tree at an earlier date and to have a real feeling to smell the fresh, alive tree. Thus, after Christmas season it is not required to clean needle leaves on the floor and to dump dead trees everywhere that will save quite a lot of work. Imagine how many trees we cut and throw away year after year. In this way it helps to preserve the natural resources.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

FIG. 1 shows a Christmas [0005] tree 10 with leaves 12 and root 14. There are sections AC and A′C′ which are the bending points to form the root skin with a layer of thin outboard root core into a horizontal position - - - a Christmas tree style.
FIG. 2 shoes a top view of [0006] root 14 along section AC in FIG. 1. First, drill four holes on A, B, C and D. Then, drill hole DA, AB, BC and CD. Only hole DA is shown with root skin 16 and a thin layer of outboard root core 18. Similarly, on root points A′, B′, C′ and D′ drill similar holes. Then, with a saw passing through hole DA cut downward along the root 14. Cut in the same way on the rest of holes.
In FIG. 3, bend all [0007] skins 16 with thin cores 18 in horizontal plane. Cut the root center core 17 at several inches below root section AC. Drill a hole 19 on the bottom of cut root center core 17 as a supporting point. Brush a protecting coat on the inboard surfaces of thin cores 18. Let it dry.
[0008] Root skins 16 with thin cores 18 that were bent one time will be bent again inboard toward root center core 17 area. Tape and tie all bent portions in position. Put whole tree 10 into a container 20 having a post 26 or the like at the center to support tree 10 at hole 19. Add woods 24 with fasteners 28 above root section AC to hold tree 10 steady onto container 20. Add earth and water which are not shown. Move whole tree 10 with container 20 to a shade area.
The [0009] container 20 may have several holes on the bottom surface to allow root skins 16 to “breath” directly with the real ground earth outdoor. To move indoor an outside container or raincoat cloth is required to hold container 20. Also, a cross wooden fixture instead of container 20 may be used to hold root center core 17, and to attach all skins 16 with thin cores 18 at the outboard ends. A raincoat cloth may be used to wrap whole root portion and wooden fixture with earth and water; and attach just above root 14. Those are generally understood and not shown.

Claims

I claim:

1. An evergreen Christmas tree is a continuous alive Christmas tree dug out with root having

means to split root center core away from root skins with a thin layer of outboard root cores,

means to bend said skins with root cores from a vertical plane into a horizontal plane,

means to cut said root center core,

means to prevent inside of said root skins and root cores from rotten after cut,

means to hold steady by a fixture, and

means to hold earth and water.

2. An evergreen Christmas tree according to claim 1, wherein said means to split root center core away from root skins with thin layer of outboard root cores is performed by drilling on at least one section, a plural of equally spaced shallow radial holes on said root; drilling each pair of neighboring holes through; and split along the said root so that each strip comprising a portion of said root skin with a thin layer of said outboard root core.

An evergreen Christmas tree according to claim 1, wherein said means to bend said root skins with root cores from a vertical plane into a horizontal plane is performed by bend 90 degrees each said root skin with root core outboard and bend again 180 degrees inboard underneath the previous bent, upper segment.

4. An evergreen Christmas tree according to claim 1, wherein said means to cut said root center core is performed by cut said root center core at several inches from bending points and drilling a long hole on the bottom of said root center core.

5. An evergreen Christmas tree according to claim 1, wherein said means to cut said root center core is performed by cut said root center core at several inches from bending points.

6. An evergreen Christmas tree according to claim 1, wherein said means to prevent inside of said root skins and root cores from rotten after cut is performed by painting with lacquer.

7. An evergreen Christmas tree according to claim 1, wherein said means to hold steady by a fixture is performed by add a cross wooden fixture with wooden tabs on outboard ends to maintain the same elevation; with intersecting area nailed onto the bottom of said cut root center core, and with all outboard ends of bent said root skins with root cores attached onto the outboard ends of said cross wooden fixture.

8. An evergreen Christmas tree according to claim 1, wherein said means to hold steady by a fixture is performed by add a container having a post to insert into the hole of said cut root center core, and wooden rods attaching onto upper root at center and said container at outboard ends.

9. An evergreen Christmas tree according to claim 1, wherein said means to hold earth and water is performed by add a piece of raincoat cloth at the bottom side of said fixture, and tied and secured at tree center area above bending points of said root skins with a thin layer of outboard root cores.

10. An evergreen Christmas tree according to claim 1, wherein said means to hold earth and water is performed by add a container to contain whole said horizontal root.
