This invention relates to game boards and more particularly to puzzle frames and has for the primary object, the provision of a device of the above stated character which will provide an efficient and practical device on which pieces of a puzzle may be assembled. when working the puzzle and will aid in preventing the pieces from accidentally moving out of place and may be adjusted to place a desired pressure on the pieces assembled to retain them in engagement with each other and preventdisarrangement when assembling other pieces thereto. y

With these and other objects in :View this invention consists in certain novelrrfeatures of construction, combination and arrangement of parts to be hereinafter more fully described and claimed.

For a complete understanding of my invention, reference is to be had to the following description and accompanying drawing, in which Figure l is a perspective view illustrating a puzzle frame constructed in accordance with my invention.

Figure 2 is a sectional View taken on the line 2 2 of Figure 1.

Figure 3` is a sectional View taken on the line 3--3 of .Figure 1.

Figure 4 is a fragmentary perspective view illustrating a modied form of one of the side elements of the board or frame.

Figure 5 is a View similar to Figure 4, illustrat-r and consists of rigid members 3 and4 arrangedV at right angles to each other and permanently secured to the board and also includes movable members 5 and G arranged at right angles to each other and slidably connected together and to the rigid members 3 and il, respectively. One end of the member 5 abuts the inner edge of the rigid member 3 and has secured thereto a clip I Which engages over the rigid member 3 and ccntacts with the rear face ofthe board to slidably connect one end of the member 5 to the board for movement towards and from the member 4. The clips i and I3 are provided with finger pieces |11 to facilitate the adjustment of the members 5 and 6 to increase and decrease thesize of the frame 2.

In operation, after a number of the pieces of a puzzle have been assembled within the frame 2 of the board I and it is desired to hold the asosembled pieces against accidental movement, the

members 5 and may be adjusted to bring pressure on certain of said pieces for aiding in ref taining them in assembled position'onA the board. While the member is shown at the left hand side of the board I it is to be understood that by reversing the location of the members 3 and VIlV on the board the member 6 may be located at theV right hand side of the board.

As shown in Figure 4 the sections 9 and I0 are arranged one above the other when the member 5 is applied to the board.

As shown in Figure 5 the movable members 6 may be provided with a single clamp I5 and one of the sections thereof equipped with a stop pin I6 which will prevent the entire separation of the sections and will permit -said sections vto have limited adjustment with respect to each other.

While I have shown and described the preferred embodiment of my invention, it will be understood thatI minor changes in construction, combination and arrangement of parts may be made without departing from the spirit and scope oi my invention, as claimed.

Having describedthe invention, I claim:

A puzzle frame comprising a rectangular shaped board to receive and have assembled thereon pieces of a puzzle, an. adjustable frame carried by said board in which the pieces are assembled and including a pair of rigid members and a pair of movable members, said rigid members arranged at right angles to one another and
