Description
- The present invention refers to an integral sanitary seat, which includes a bowl that in its interior and in phased displacement there is a showerhead with several coaxially arranged holes. The main objective of the proposed invention is to improve the functional characteristics of toilet seats. A second objective is to incorporate a device that allows hygiene, drying and deodorizing in present toilets. Finally, the aim of the present invention is that at the moment of making use of the toilet the user is able to obtain his/her complete hygiene by means of a device that is integrated with a couple of coaxially arranged tubular elements that define the passage of water and hot air.
- The integral toilet/bidet system is well known and has several qualities. Among them, one system is used in which around the toilet bowl there is a perforated rubber pipe with holes that converge at the inner part of the bowl and incorporates through that pipe water that is connected to a deodorization source to neutralize odors. Despite its efficiency, this system entails greater water usage and higher construction cost. Taking into account guidelines that involve present and future situations we have considered the following indicators to develop the following invention:
- 1. Water is an essential element that will get scarce in the world and whose cost is increasing; therefore, whatever is done to economize on the use of water is important.
- 2. World population is growing and so is the need to goods and services, therefore, it is essential to provide efficiency at low cost.
- 3. Provide solutions to those who have less is a human obligation common to all religions; therefore, provide economic solutions.
- 4. The conjunction of simplicity, efficiency, low acquisition cost and installation have been considered.
- 5. Economy in housing construction, a minimum of 1.5 square meters of covered surface for each toilette.
- The proposed sanitary seat has in its interior bowl sideways in phased displacement a perforated showerhead with no less than nine holes of approximately 2 mm each one. Water pressure from two faucet flows to these holes originating a water impulsion (shower) directed to the upper central part of the interior of the bowl. Concentrically with the hygiene water pressure outlet holes, the terminal showerhead has, as an example, about 56 holes of 3.75 mm diameter each from where the adjustable hot dry air that comes from a special feed caloric source has its outlet.
- To this terminal showerhead, the hot dry air is guided through a 1¼″ (32 mm) diameter pipe from the caloric source that generates and drives the dry heat. A temporizer inserted to the caloric source controls temperature and time. The activation of the dry heat is done through a push button placed at the heat generator. The aforementioned temporizer adjusts the time of the caloric current, so that it automatically cuts off the heat drive at 32 seconds. The same action can be repeated, if necessary, by only pressing the same touch button without any changes in temperature.
- The generated heat is driven by the action of a vent that sucks the air from the upper part of the generator with the outlet of hot air through a 40 mm central pipe that is part of the generator and is connected to the 1¼″ (32 mm) line piping. The caloric drive finishes off in the 56 holes of 3.75 mm that are enveloping the exterior crown of the showerhead while the water pressure pipe coming from the faucet ends up in the nine holes of 2 mm each existing in the center of the showerhead originating the fine shower water pressure for hygiene.
- Simultaneously with the dry heat impulsion flowing through a 9 mm pipe that is part of the generator, there is a caloric current flow originated by the suction produced at the lower part of the 9 mm pipe due to a diversion of the driving current. This diversion at 45° from the central impulsion produces suction from the lower part of the 9 mm pipe. This hot air suction goes through a sponge or plush impregnated in fragrance located in the upper part of the 9 mm pipe, producing deodorized air, odor neutralizer, during the 32 seconds the drying operation lasts. That is to say, drying and deodorizing at the same time; the drying is performed by hot air impulsion produced by the generator and ejected by the fan and deodorizing is produced by air suction from the lower part and goes through the plush or sponge impregnated with fragrance drops. In order to avoid urine deposits at the exterior part of the water piping, there is one 1 mm hole at the front part of the water pressure pipe that makes self-washing possible originated by a thread of water pressure that goes through the 1 mm hole, hits the interior part of the caloric conduction pipe, washing any liquid settlement that might exist. Taking into account that the water pipe has a slight inclination towards the back part, the accumulation of self-washing water drains through a 3 mm drainage hole located at the lower part of the 1¼″ exterior pipe next to the showerhead, dumping the washing liquid in the siphon/water clock.
- 1. It economizes on one unit because it concentrates four operations, that is to say toilet, bidet, dryer and deodorizer.
- 2. It economizes a minimum of 1.5 square meters of covered surface for each bathroom or toilette.
- 3. Just with only one installation the objective has been achieved, that is to say, material and labor have been economized.
- 4. The functional components are exchangeable as independent spare parts, which allows replacing any parts without having to replace the unit itself.
- 5. The common toilet can be replaced with efficiency without having to throw it away maintaining its specific original usefulness.
- 6. Allows people with low income to get one unit because it is not expensive.
- 7. It satisfies the need of professionals who only have a common toilet in their offices.
- 8. Important parts can be made of hard plastic, which makes it cheaper.
- 9. The fact of the matter is that with just only one installation one can accede to a unit that replaces the toilet, the bidet, dries, deodorizes and besides saves at least 1.5 square meters of covered surface.
- 10. Speaking in terms of figures, if we consider that in a toilette at least one toilet must be installed and taking into account that there isn't much price difference between the invented sanitary seat and a common toilet, we can infer that the actual cost of the new fixture would be minimal because the replaced toilet hasn't been broken and has salvage value of its specific use. Apart from this it adds three unctions that it did not have before.
- 11. Adding up all the economic plus functional advantages mentioned above it enables people of lower income to have access to this product.
- 12. Besides, the pipes can be of hard threaded plastic, inclusive of those of the heat generator, which will lower the price.
- 1. Four functions concentrated in just one appliance: a toilet, a bidet, drier and deodorizer.
- 2. It's not necessary to move from one appliance to another (comfort, above all for older, people, sick people and those with different mobility problems).
- 3. Designed to allow observation (self-checkups and washing) of the lower, front and back parts of the body. Especially for women.
- 4. Diminishes or avoids completely the use of toilet paper which is some cases produces irritation on sensitive parts, mainly people who suffer from hemorrhoids.
- 5. There is no interference between water for hygiene and water for later washing oneself because the showerhead outlets for clean water are not placed on the same vertical.
- 6. There's no possibility that the holes for water for hygiene become obstructed because the showerhead is not horizontally placed.
- 7. In order to deodorize there's no need to get up or use a special device (comfort and economy).
- 8. There is a mirror on the inner part of the toilet cover, in order to be able to observe different parts of the body; especially meant for women to prevent possible breast complications.
- FIG. 1 represents a top and sectional view of an integral toilet seat, object of the present invention.
- FIG. 2 represents a cross section view of an improved integral sanitary seat.
- FIG. 3, FIG. 3A and FIG. 3B represent detailed views of the washing and drying device components of the improved integral sanitary seat.
- FIG. 4 represents a perspective view of a toilet seat with the device, meeting the object of the present invention.
- FIG. 5 represents a view of the circuit included or inserted in the heat-generating source.
- In accordance with the drawings, especially with reference to FIG. 1, the
device 1 incorporated into the bowl (A) with a roll holder (B) and hangers (C) whose lid has in its interior a mirror (D) and includes a couple of tubular pipes arranged in length and slightly inclined of whichpipe 2 has an annular opening 3, from which part of pipe 4 is projected in an oblique form presenting a coupling 4 a in coaxial form. The coupling 4 a is connected to apipe 5 of aheat source 6 a with an air inlet 6 b whilepipe 2 is closed at one of its ends by aplug 6 and at the opposite end by anorifice 7 b presenting pipe 4 going the same direction aspipe line 7 at an angle of 45°, which is connected to ashowerhead 8 with holes on its exposed surface for the outlet of water pressure. - This water pressure going through
pipe line 7 is equipped with anelbow bend 7 c, presenting thepipe line 7, adjacent theshowerhead 8, with anorifice 7 a, serving as an outlet for a trickle of water pressure flowing throughpipe line 7. This trickle of water hits the internal wall of the drying pipe, cleaning any rest of liquid or solid that could have entered the device through the showerhead holes and to come out at the 3 mm discharge pipe orifice (7 b) directly into the bowl water; it also discharges through the 9 mm larger discharge pipe (7 d) situated at the other end ofpipe 2. - The
