Description

Aug. 3, 1937. I B. ROUS 2,088,762
MULTIPLE DISPLAY CARD Filed Sept. 9, 1955 INVENTOR Jew/MRO F006 /u/Oa ATTORNEY CAD Patented Aug. 3, 1937 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE 3 Claims.
This invention relates to a multiple display card.
The object of the invention is the production of a, multiple display card, in which different portions thereof have indicated thereon strips of different translucent colors, and of which some ofthe longitudinal edges thereof overlap each other to produce blended portions between them.
In the accompanying drawing Fig. 1 represents a fragmentary front View of the multiple display card; Fig. 2 shows a section as on the line 2, 2 of a portion of Fig. 1 and Fig. 3 represents a fragmentary portion of the front View of the display card with a modification.
Referring to Figs. 1 and 2 the multiple display card comprises the corrugated body portion 36, which is opaque and may be white, and is indicated having the top edge 3'! and the bottom edge 38. The said body portion is shown with the valleys 39 and the crowns 40, and has indicated on its outer surface strips of different translucent colors, which are parallel to the corrugations of the card. The longitudinal end portions of said strips are located to overlap each other, except at the crowns and valleys of the corrugated body portion. The overlapped portions of the said bands or strips produce blended portions.
The strips are disposed in a plurality of series of different colors.
In this instance at one side of each valley 39, is indicated a strip 4| which is blue in color, the next adjacent strip 42 which is red, is positioned with one of its longitudinal edges adjacent to one side of the adjacent crown 40, and its other longitudinal edge overlaps the strip 4| and therewith produces a blended portion 43. The next strip 44, which is located at the other side of said crown 40, is also red. The next adjacent strip 45, which is green, is positioned with one of its longitudinal edges at one side of the next valley 39. The other longitudinal edge of the strip 45 overlaps the strip 44 and thereby is produced the blended portion 46. The strips as described are repeated for all of the corrugations of the corrugated body portion 36. It will be noted that other colored strips may be used.
Referring to Fig. 3, a fragmentary portion of the display card is shown with the body portion 35a. having the top edge 310., and the bottom edge is not shown.
In this modification, the corrugations and their translucent colored strips are inclined to the edges of the body portion.
The inclined strips are as follows, the blue at 4|, a red at 42, a blended portion at 43, a red strip at 44, a green strip at 45 and another blended portion at 46. The valleys of the body portion 35a are shown at 39 and the crowns are again shown at 40.
Various modifications may be made in this invention and the present exemplification is to be taken as illustrative and not limitative thereof.
Having described my invention I claim:
1. A multiple display card comprising a corrugated body portion of one piece of material and strips of different translucent colors indicated on the outer surface of said corrugated body portion between its crowns and valleys, the sides of the adjacent strips overlapping each other.
2. In a multiple display card the combination of a corrugated body portion of one piece of material and strips of different translucent colors indicated on the outer surface of said corrugated body portion between its crowns and valleys, said strips parallel to the longitudinal axis of the corrugations and the adjacent sides of the strips overlapping each other to produce blended portions.
3. In a multiple display card the combination of a corrugated body portion of one piece of material, the corrugations of said body portion inclined to the edges thereof and strips of different translucent colors indicated on the outer surface of said corrugated body portion between its crowns and valleys, said strips parallel to the
