A venetian blind construction having a hollow channel structure adapted for locating in'the vertical side 01' an opening, said channel structure having inturned marginal strips with a vertical slot between the strips, a slat having a pin secured thereto extending in an axial direction through the slot, said pin having an enlarged head, the head preventing removal of the pin through the slot in an axial direction of the slat, the strips at the slat. having edgings formed of resilient material, said edgings having a narrow groove fitted on the edge of the strips.

A venetian blind construction having a guide channel structure formed of hollow channelshaped metal with inturned strips, and a vertical slot between said strips, the strips at the slot having an edging member of resilient material, a slat having a pin secured to its end and extending in an axial direction, said pin fitting in the slot between the edging members and having a head of larger diameter than the space between said members whereby the slat and pin may rotate on its axis but prevent it from longitudinal displacement in the direction of the axis of the slat.
4. A venetian blind construction as claimed in claim 3, said resilient edging material being adapted to engage the end of the slat on which the pin is mounted and form a sound deadening device.

A venetian blind having a hollow channel structure adapted for locating on the vertical side of an opening, said channel structure having a vertical slot, said channel structure and slot being open at the top, a slat having a pin secured thereto at one end, the pin being in axial alignment with the slot and having a circular head of larger diameter than the pin, said head and pin being insertable through the upper open end of the slot, the pin having a clearance on opposite sides of the slot, and the pin having a clearance from the base of the channel structure whereby when the slot is either inclined or tilted said head cannot be withdrawn from the slot.
6. A venetian blind as claimed in claim 5, the channel structure at the slot having edgings of resilient material, said resilient material forming a sound deadening material to engage the pin and to engage the end of the slat should the slat move longitudinally.

A venetian blind construction having a guide channel structure formed of hollow channelshaped metal with inturned strips and a vertical slot between said strips, the strips at the slot having an edging member of resilient'material, the slot and channel being open at the top, the slat having a pin secured to its end and extending in an axial direction, said pin having a circular head of larger diameter than the pin, the pin and the head being insertible in the slot and the channel through the top, there being a clearance between the pin and the edging members and the head and said edging members and the base of the channel whereby on longitudinal tilting or rotation of the slat said head cannot be withdrawn from the slot.
