f invention `relates generally to lattach- .ments for paint `brushes and other scribing instruments, and an important object olf-my invention is to provide an attachment which will act as. a guide in painting-or otherwise working .upon confined areas of surfaces, whereby the effect ofthe work may berestricted to the .confined areas.

A it is also an important tion to provide a device of thecharacter described, whereby kItis also an important object of my invention to provide ya simple and easy to manufacture attachment scribed, which may be "easily applied to the paint brush or the like, and which may be easily and quickly attached o-r detached.

What is claimed is t` 1.
