By Qmaoiz Patented June 6, 1933 j V GORDON I. LEE, OF BLUEI'IELD, WEST VIRGINIA TUBE DISPENSER Application filed September 22, 1932. Serial No. 634,399.
This invention appertains to new and useful improvements in dispensers for collapsible tubes, such as are commonly used for tooth paste, shaving cream and certain ointments in the medicinal line.
An important object of the invention 1s to provide a tube dispenser which can be readily mounted and which is substantially portable in nature.
Another important object of the invention is to provide a tube dispenser which 1s easy to operate and not susceptible to the development of ready defects.
These andvarious other important ob ects and advantages of the invention will become apparent to the reader of the following specific tion.
the drawings Figure 1 represents a view of the dispenser. v
Fig. 2 represents a side elevational view of the dispenser.
Fig. 3 represents a fragmentary horizontal sectional view, taken substantially on the line 3 '3 of Fig. 1.
front elevational Fig. 4 represents a fragmentaryhorizontal.
sectional view taken substantially on line 4-4 of Fig. 1.
Referring to the drawings wherein like numerals designate like parts, it can be seen that numeral 5 represents a wall plate having suction cups 6 secured to the back thereof which aliord means wherebythe plate can be secured to a wall or other supportlng surface. I
As is clearly shown in Fig. 1, the device can be constructed to support a plurality of tooth paste tubes, or a tooth paste tube and a shaving cream tube if desired. However, each dispenser is of the same construction as the other, and a description of one 711151111106 for both. In the construction of each dispenser, an elongated guide strip 7 is struck from the plate 5, thesame being disposed outwardly as at 8 at its upper end, and then downwardly to.have its lower end passed through an opening in the supporting plate 9, the latter being flanged as at 10 and secured at this flange to the plate 5. The outer end 50 of the plate 9 is provided with an opening 11 of the invention as claimed hereinafter.
' 1? portions of which thewinder 18 is mount- As is clearly seen in Fi s. 2 and 3, the
outerend portions of the [-s aped members p 17 are slotted as at 19 to receive the pintlelike ends 20 of the winder 18, the winder being longitudinally slotted as at 21 (see'Fig. 1) to receive the upper end of the corresponding tube 14.
One of the pintles 20 is extended and anchored into a knob 22 which knob, when operated, rotates the winder 18. Numeral 23 represents a U-shaped clip having a bayonet slot 24 in each end thereof for engagm a I corresponding stud 25 on the block 15. is clip is employed as in the manner shown in- Fig. 3 to engage around the guide 7 so that the block 15 and guide clip 23 are slidably connected to the guide Thus, the winder 18 is capable of riding downwardly as the tube 14 is wound thereon and has its contents expelled.
As a matter of convenience a shaving brush holder 26 can be secured to the lower portion 8 of the plate 5, while tooth brush holders 27 can-be mounted on the lower portion of the platelin the manner substantially shown in While the foregoing s cification sets forth the invention in speci 0 terms, it is to be understood that numerous changes in the shape, size and materials may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new is A pastetube dispenser comprising a plate having a guide member secured thereto in parallel spaced relation with respect thereto,
a slide block, a removable clip slidably connecting the block to the guide member, means for-supporting the neck end of a aste tube, and means carried by the block w ereby the opposite end of the paste tube can be rolled, said last mentioned means comprising a pair of L-shaped members, each having a foot at one end for disposition into the aforesaid block, a mandrel rotatably mounted on the said L-shaped members, the same being adapted to engage and retain one end of a paste tube, said clip being of U-shape and having recesses in its end portion and protuberances on a pair of opposite sides of the said block for engaging into the said leg portion whereb the clip is detachably connected to the bi ock to embrace the said guide member.
In testimony whereof I aflix m signature.
GORDON LEE.
