My invention relates to wick oilers.
It is the object of my invention to provide a wick oiler in which the rate of oiling on the delivery of oil to the wickV will be constant so that the lubrication by the oiler will be at a uniform rate.V n It is a further object to provide an oiler in which the level of the oil will be readily visible to an observer .without disturbing the operation of the oiler.
It is a further object to providea construction which is easily'lled and cleaned, a great simplicity of construction and adequate strength to fulfill the demands made upon it.

Referring to the drawings `in detail7 1 is la stem of the yoiler having a passageway 2 therethrough A controlled by the valve -member 3 which is provided with the usual handle 4; and a spring 5 for keeping the tapered valve member 3 in adjusted position. The passageway 6 of the valve memvber when registering with the passageway 2 permits the flow of oil from the enlarged passageway 7 that contains the wick 8. n
Within the passageway 7 is a tubular member 9 which projects upwardly through the stem 1 into the interior of the oil cup. It acts as a support for the wick 8, the free end of which at 1() rests on the floor 11 of the cup having side walls 12 and a floor 11. This wick is held in position by a wire, one end of which is formed into a 10013.13 for holding the wick 8 in its lowermost posi-v tion within the passageway 7. The wire then extends upwardly, as at 14, and is bentl over, as atv l5, over the edge of the /sleve 9. L
