The present invention relates to an amusement device and has for one of its important objects to provide, in a manner as hereinafter set forth, a device of this character embodying a novel construction and arrangement through the medium of which a guessing game may be played and participated in by a number of players and in which considerable entertainment will be had by both players and observers.

Other objects of the invention are to provide an amusement device of the aforementioned character which will be simple in construction, durable, compact and which may be manufactured at low cost.

All of the foregoing and still further objects and advantages of the invention will become apparent from a study of the following specication, taken in connection with the accompanying drawing wherein like characters of reference designate corresponding parts throughout the several views, and wherein:-

Figure 1 is a view in front elevation, showing an amusement device constructed in accordance with the present invention.

Figure 2 is a front elevational view, showing the device with the front card removed.

Figure 3 is a view in vertical transverse section through the complete device, taken substantially on the line 3 3 of Figure 2.

Referring now to the drawing in detail, it will be seen that the embodiment of the present invention which has been illustrated comprises opposed front and rear cards 1 and 2, respectively. On the front of the rear card 2 are spacing ribs 3 which the front card 1 abuts, said ribs deiining chambers 4 which are open at their top. The spacing ribs 3 may be integral with the rear card 2, as shown, or said ribs may be secured in position by suitable means, such as an adhesive. The front card 1 may be permanently secured in position by any suitable means, such as bands 5.

Rotatably mounted on the read card 2, as at 6, for operation in the chambers l are disks 7 from the peripheries of which integral, substantially triangular points or projections 8 extend. On the front of each disk 7 and adjacent the base portions of the points 8 are numerals 9 arranged in circular series. The numerals 9 range from zero to 9, inclusive, but said numerals are not in order and the arrangement thereof on each of the disks is different. rIhe front card 1 of the device is provided with Windows 10 Vthrough which one numeral at a time on the disks 7 may be observed.

The upper edges of the cards 1 and 2 are provided with aligned recesses 11 through the medium of which one of the substantially triangular points 8 of the disks 7 may be substantially fully exposed. The side walls of the recesses 10 are at an angle to parallel the upper edges of the points 8 which are adjacent the upstanding or fully exposed point 8, as illustrated to advantage in Figure 2 of the drawing. It will, therefore, be seen that when a nger, pencil or other suitable actuating instrument is moved in either direction across the upper edges of the cards 1 and 2 and through the recesses 10 the uppermost or fully exposed point 8 will be shifted a distance sulicient to bring the next point to fully exposed position but rotation of the disk will then cease for the reason that the iinger, pencil, or the like will ride up one of the inclined wall portions of that particular recess 10. The construction and arrangement of the points 8, the numerals 9, the recesses 10 and Windows 11 are such that each time the disks '7 are actuated one of the numerals 9 will be brought into full view in the windows 11.

As previously stated, any number of players may participate in the game and, further, any suitable rules may be followed. The object of the game is to guess the combination of numerals that will appear in the windows 11 when all or some of. the disks 7 are rotated.

It is belived that the many advantages of an amusement device constructed in accordance with the present invention will be readily understood, and although the preferred embodiment of the invention is as illustrated and described, it is to be understood that changes in the details of construction and in the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to which will fall within the scope of the invention as claimed.

What is claimed is:-

1. An indicator comprising an elongated casing of hollow construction and being open along one longitudinal edge, partitions in the casing dividing its interior into separate compartments, a rotatable member in each of the said compartments provided with radial protuberances which as the rotatable members are rotated project beyond the open side of the casing, said rotatable members having characters thereon, said casing having an opening in the side thereof at each compartment through which the characters on the said rotatable members are visible as the rotatable members are rotated.

An indicator comprising a casing open at one side, a rotatable member in the casing, said casing being provided with an opening in its side, characters on the said rotatable member visible through the opening in the side of the 5 casing, said rotatable member being provided with outwardly tapering protuberances, and a
