The invention relates to table tops, and
I particularly to stamped 1 sheet metal table tops and the like and means for permanently v supporting the same, and is an improvement '5 over the construction and meansof assembling supporting frames for table tops as shown in Patents #1,4:64,910, #l,607,5a2,and $251,629,799 granted to me, and is directed to improvements in the construction of a. frame 7 for stretching and holding the metal table top in plane extended position by removing.

The combination with a sheet metal table top having a flanged rim, of a supporting 'framemounted in said flanged rim and comprising side bars and'end bars, said bars having. their outer edges formed to provide a ,longitudinal ridge substantially centrally thereof andzengaging saidrim in a substan tially line contact. v I
