IMPROVEMENT IN CURRY-COMBS.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 180,749, dated August 8, 1876; application filed July 24, 1876.

To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, CHARLES B. BRISTOL, of New Haven,in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Improvement in Curry- Combs; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the-accompanying drawings and the letters of reference marked thereon, to he a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawings constitute part of this specification, and represent, in-

ends, of a cast-metal frame, with a shank, C, cast thereon for the handle. Upon the under side of the two outside bars A A a series of vertical teeth, a, are formed in casting. Intermediate between these two outer bars is a longitudinal sheet-metal bar, D. This bar is constructed with a flange, d, upon the edge, and on the edge of the flange teeth are cut, as seen in Fig. 2; but these may be one with teeth and the other plain, or both plain, or both with teeth. This bar is riveted to the frame, and thus completes the comb.

I claim As an article of manufacture, the currycomb, consisting of a substantially-rectangular cast-metal frame, with teeth formed upon the under side of the two sides, combined with an intermediate flanged bar, substantially as set forth.
