The invention relates to improvements in hose supporters especially adapted for use in conjunction with corsets, brassires, combination garments and the like, to depend therefrom f'or attaching hose thereto, the primary object of the invention being the provision of an improved construction and arrangement of this character which is of simple construction, capable of economical manufacture and highly efficient in use. Another object 'of the invention is the provision of an improved construction of this character which is so constructed as to be adjustable and to completely cover and protect the adjustable fastenings.

Another object of the invention is the provision of an improved construction of this character which is adjustable in length, without the use of exposed metal parts for effecting such adjustment.

Other objects will appear hereinafter.

The invention consists in the combinations and arrangements of parts hereinafter described and claimed.

The invention will be best understood by reference to the accompanying drawing forming a part of this specification, and in which Fig. l is an outer face view of a hose supporter embodying the invention;

rlhe embodiment of the invention illustrated in the drawing comprises an outer depending main supporting elastic web 5, having an inner narrower supplemental attaching web 6 arranged againstthe inner sidethereof. The supplemental web 6 is in the form of a strip of button hole tape having button holes 7 therein, is co-extensive in length with the main web 5, and is secured thereto at both top and bottom, being otherwise free therefrom. Both of the webs are permanently secured at their upper ends t-o the lower edge of the supporting garment 8, which may be in the form of a corset, brassire, combination garment or the like.

The attachment of the webs 5 and 6 to the garment 8 is preferably accomplished by in; corporating the upper ends of said webs dil rectly into the lower portion of the garment, as bestv shown in Fig. 3. At its lower end'the main web 5 is folded and secured as shown over the lower end of the supplemental web 6 to form a triangular point 9, and a button 10 is secured to the inner side of this triangular point 9, as shown, and in position to engage with anyone of the button holes? when the lower ends of the webs are folded upwardly, as indicated in Figs. 2 and 3. j

Associated withthe said webs 5 and`-6 is a hose fastener 1l of any usual or desired construction, the one illustrated being provided with a wire loop 12 at its upper end through which the lower ends of the webs 5 and 6 slide freely. In use the hose fastener 11 is slidably engaged with the lower end of the webs 5 and 6, said lower ends being folded upwardly and inwardly to form a supporting loop for the purpose, and the button 10 is engaged with the proper button hole 7 to adjust the effective length of the supporter as desired, thehose fastener 1l being employed in the usualmanner for supporting the hose of the wearer.

By this arrangement a hose supporter is provided which is of simple construction, capable of economical manufacture, and highly efficient infuse. The means of adjustment are completely covered and protected so as to be invisible from the outer side of the wearers garments. There are no projecting free ends of tape or the like and no metal parts, exposed or otherwise, in the adjusting means. The hose fastener may be readily removed and replaced when desired. The specific form and arrangement of parts constitutes a simple and effective one for the purpose.

While I have illustrated and described the preferred form of construction for carrying my invention into edect, this is capable of variation and modificationl Without departing from the spirit of the invention. I therefore do not wish to be limited to the precise details set forth, but desire to avail myself roo f of such variations and modifications as fall within the scope of the appended claims.

Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to Secure by Letters Patent is:

1. A hose supporter comprising a main depending supporting web; a supplemental attaching web in the form of a tape having button holes arranged against the inner side of said main web and secured thereto at top and bottom, being otherwise free therefrom; a. hose fastener having a loop at its upper end slidably engaging the lower end of both said main and supplemental webs; and a button on the inner side of said main web at the eX- treme lower end thereof adapted and arranged to engage the different button holes in said supplemental web.

2. A hose supporter comprising a main depending supporting web; a supplemental attaching web in the form of a tape having button holes resting against the inner side of said main web and coextensive in length therewith and secured thereto at top and bottom, being otherwise free therefrom; a hose fastener provided with a loop at its upper end sliding freely on said webs; and a button at the extreme lower end of said main web adapted and arranged to engage the button holes in said supplemental web.

The combination With a supporting garment of a main hose supporting web secured thereto and depending therefrom; a supplemental attaching web in the form of a tape having button holes resting against the inner side of said main web, co-extensive in length therewith and secured thereto at top and bottom, being otherwise free therefrom, the upper ends of both of said webs being incorporated in and secured to the lower portion of said supporting garment, the lower end of said main web being folded inwardly into the form of a triangular point and secured over and to the lower end of said supplemental web; al hose fastener provided with a loop at its upper end sliding freely on said webs; and a button .secured to the inner side of said triangular point on said main web adapted and arranged to engage the button holes in said supplemental web.

4. A hosefsupporter comprising a main depending supporting web; a supplemental attaching web in the form of a tape narrower than said main web, co-extensive in length therewith and having spaced button holes therein, said supplemental web being arranged centrally against the inner side of said main web and secured thereto at top and bottom, being otherwise free therefrom; a hose fastener having sliding engagement with the lower ends of both said main and supplemental Webs; and a button on the inner side of said main web at the extreme lower end thereof adapted and arranged to engage the
