My invention more particularly comprises a bed and cylinder printing press having two inking mechanisms, two pairs of opposed sheet feeders and a pair of opposed deliveries, all coacting to feed, print and deliver two sheets for each stroke of the impression cylinder, the sheet feeders being arranged in upper and lower pairs, the first sheet on each stroke being fed to the upper side of the cyl inder and the second sheet on each stroke being fed to the under side of the cylinder and one delivery being operable to take the first and second printed sheets on one stroke of the cylinder and the other delivery being operable to take the firstand second sheets on the opposite stroke of the impression cylinder.
My invention further comprises a bed and cylinder printing press in which the ,.reeiprocating bed carries two forms which coact with two sheet impression surfaces on the coacting impression cylinder.
My invention still further comprises means for alternately raising and lowering the two inking mechanisms whereby their form rollers may be driven continuously in one direction, one inkingmechanism being operable for inking the forms on one stroke of. the bed and the other. inking mechanism being operable for inking the forms on the opposite stroke of the bed.
A practical embodiment of my invention is represented in the accompanying drawings in which:

Similarly, I provide on the otherside of the bed a cam 37 for closing the grippers 19 to take its sheet from the upper left hand feeder 22, a cam 38 for opening the grippers 19 to transfer the printed sheetto the left hand delivery 26; a cam 39 for closing the grippers 20 to take its sheet fromthe lower right hand feeder 24, and a cam 40' for opening the grippers20-to transfer the sheet to the left hand delivery 26.
These cams 33 to 40 inclusive are illustrated in Figs. 12 to 17 inclusive. As all of the gripper tumbler actuating devices are the same, one only has been illustrated in Figs. 2
; and 3, vi'z., the device for opening the grippers 17. The tumbler actuating pin 42 is slidable into the path of the tumbler cam 41 for the grippers 17 at the proper time, to close the grippers 17 on the sheet fed from the upper right hand feeder 21. This pin is held yieldingly out of the path of the cam by the spring 43. The pin operating rock lever is pivoted at 44 to the main frame and it has one arm 45 which engages the pin to move it laterally into the path of the tumbler cam 41 and another arm 46 arranged in position to ride over the yielding cam 33 as the'bed moves to the right and under the cam as the bed moves to the left.
' From the above description it will'be seen that I have provided means whereby two sheets may be taken, printed and delivered on each stroke of the impression cylinder and bed, certain of the sheets being taken from i the two oppositely disposed upper feeders and the others'of the sheets being taken from the two oppositely disposed lower feeders, the sheets taken and printed on one stroke of the cylinder being transferred to one delivery and the sheets taken and printed on the other stroke of the cylinder being transferred to the opposite delivery. This arrangement permits a maximum product to be fed, printed and delivered with a minimum movement of Furthermore, bythe provision of two inking mechanisms having their distributing and form rollers "driven continuously in one direction only, the proper application of the'ink to the forms on each strokeof the bed is ensured. 7
It is evident that various changes may be resorted to in the construction, form and arrangement of the several parts withoutdeparting from the spirit and scope of my invention, and hence I do not intend to be limited to the particular embodiment herein shown and described, but

20. In a bed and cylinder printing press, a reciprocating form bed, an oscillating impression cylinder, upper and lower pairs of opposed sheet feeders, and an intermediate pan of opposed deliveries, all coacting to feed, print and deliver two sheets on each stroke of the impression cylinder.

a reciprocating form bed, two opposed inking mechanisms therefor, an oscillating impression cylinder, upper and lower pairs of opposed sheet feeders, and an intermediate pair of opposed deliveries, all coacting to feed, print and deliver two sheets on each stroke of the impression cylinder.
22. In a bed and cylinder printing press, a reciprocating form bed bearing two forms,
an oscillating cylinder having two impression surfaces, said cylinder being operable to take, print and deliver two sheets in substantially two revolutions of the cylinder in each direction, two inking mechanisms, each having its form cylinders continuously driven in one direction, and means for bringing one'inking mechanism into position to ink both forms on one stroke of the bed and the other inking mechanism into position to ink both formson the opposite stroke of the bed.
