A final object thereof is to provide a cutting implement with rotary means on the handle thereof, designed, when actuated, to space apart the several parallel knife blades variably so that slices of different thicknesses .may be cut.
`l/Vith the above and other objects the invention consists in the `arrangement,combination and details in the drawing and specification, and then more particularly pointed out in the appended claim. n
In the drawing, wherein similar reference characters designate similar out the respective views,
Figure l is a longitudinal section through niy invention;
Figure 2 is a top plan View thereof,
Figure 3 is a side elevation thereof7 Figure 4 is a cross sectional view of the complete device,
Figure 5 is an end elevation of the device looking from the rear,
Figure 6 is a cross-sectional View taken through the slidable members of the device.
I provide a construction of knife wherein the plurality of blades are transversely ad` justable in a simple manner. A rectangular case 19 provides the handle for the knife and secured therearound and secured upon the flat sides thereof are the four preferably Wooden segment shaped pieces 20 secured by A further object thereof is to provide a` of construction disclosed parts through-V threaded pins or thelikefastenersl 2li-'to the flat sides of this casef Inside of this caseare slidably mountedl the channel-shaped cutters.` :One cutterisconrposed of the vertical knife edged :Wall 22 Whose Vparallel right-angular lateral langes;
irfs'rres r oppositely arranged Y 23, 24 slidably rub against the interior Walls ofthe case; these flanges 23, 24 normally engage with Wall 22 atleast in one half of the i" Width of the case. The other channelshaped cutter is also 'composed ofthevertical Wal125 1 Whose right-angular parallel flanges 26,27 arev designed` to slide faces of the fianges There is; a medial vertically and iixedly zand operatively se cured at its rear to 19, andthe flanges 26, 27 are constrained at all against the interior sur# times. tolslide in contact With thejupper and Y 657 lower `edges of this vmedialknife member 31;
