Having described my invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
1; A scarf ring, comprising a shank portion, a loop-like locking portion thereon, a gate pivotally secured to the said shank, and
a loop-like locking portion on the said gate for the purpose specified.
2. A scarf ring, comprising an upper and lower wire member, a gate of similar construction pivotally secured to the shank at oneend-thereof, awgeometric locking portion on'one of the shank wires at the end opposite to the pivot and a complementary geometric portion on the oppositely disposed gate wire adapted to lockingly engage the first mentioned geometric portion.
3. A scarf ring, comprising an upper and lower wire member, a gate of similar construction pivotally secured to the shank at one end thereof, a geometric locking portion )0 on one of the shank wires at the end opposite to the pivot, a complementary geometric portion on the oppositely disposed gate Wire adapted to lockingly engage the first mentioned geometric portion, an end on one of the shank wires abutting the geometric end of the gate when in closed position, and a similar end on one of the gate wires in abutment with the geometric end of the shank.
