This inventionrelatesto improvements in mop wringers and pailfsupports and pertains to a constructioniwhich isadapted to is'movable around to meet the the operator. c
The primary object of the present invention is a novel construction for moving one of the rollers to a compressing position by the foot of the operator.
convenience of Further objects of the invention will appear from the following description:
Figure 1 isa side elevation of an improved mop wringer and pail supporting device which embodies my present improvements.
Figure 2 is a top plan view of Figure 1.
Figure 3 is a detached'view showing the construction of the vertically movable-holder for the said pail.
In carrying out the-present improvement, I provide a supporting frame 1 for a pail, the said supporting frame being provided with upwardly projecting members which will now be described.
Supporting frame Attention is directed to the special construction of the supporting frame 1, in thatit comprises two parallel portions which are connected witheach other by suitable connecting rods 2. The front end of the frame 1 is curved upwardly and forwardly as shown at 3, and attached to the front end of this curved portion is a suitable caster arrangement 4 that carries relatively large wheels 5 that are provided with rubber tires 6. The rear endis constructed similar to the front end in that it has the rearwardly curved portion 7' that carries a caster Sand has a rubber tire wheel 9 attached to it. As stated;
the frame comprises two parallel portions 1' and each parallel portion. is provided with the upwardly curved members 3 and 7. At each side a member 10 has its front end riveted to the forwardly curved portion 3' and this member 10 extends rearwardly and upwardly and is riveted as shown at 12 to the upper portion of standards 13 that have their lower ends 14 riveted to thehorizontal portion 1 of the supporting frame. There are,
intermediate their ends at substantiallypoint. '19.- The rear ends,20 ofthe members 18aref T pivotallyconneoted at 21 withfoot operated members 22 .which 'have their forward ends I 22 and 24. Of course this construction be varied and the part 24 made separate and tion 'as,thatrherelshownfx 1 M r I Fo t e p p se-o rming asu e bea ing for rollers 25,which are carried gby'the e pa el er e J2 an '29 t inmportions o f tlie members" 18 engage the in sand lines, Figure 1.

Aseco'nd movableroller 17' is j ournaled in the upper free end softhe membersf18,f the said members ,beingbentat anfinclination pivotallyconnected at 23 with therearwardlyand upwardly extendinggme nbers lOQand preferably just above their lower 1 ends.
shown, is made continuous with the members having'its ends rigidly co'nnectedfwith the rear ends oftthe members 22, which in'efiect willfmake the same construction and opera" members 10,-the.said member's havetheir rip-- per ends doubled inward and journals '26 for.
the roller have theirfends passing through berslO. V H The members 18 pass through the openings 29 formed bythe doubling inward, of'jthe member 10 and the v undersides of the bent 7 said rollers as shown? suitable springer springs 31 have theirfupper ends; connected to the'extremities of the members 10 and'their lower, ends connected with the members 22 whereby the springs normallyj-hold-the'roller 57 These members 22 havetheirends connected r by afoot portion 24, which;'in the form-here 17 and the member 18in the positionslshown When howeven t-is desired to empress a-a'mop, not shown then the, operator. presses a "the member 24 ith-his fooazthus lowering r V the purpose described,
the members 22, causing the underside 30 to engage with the rollers 25, whereby the roller 17 is brought into position to compress the mop (not shown) between the rollers 17 and 1 i For the purpose of holding the pail in its position on the frame, a verticallymovable latch 32 is connected with a; band 33 that has its inner ends 34 riveted to the members 13 o and the band is bent around thesaid' ailg This latch 32 has a slot35in which a pin 38,. passes whereby the latch may be moved vertically for releasing the p'ail -and' when it drops, its' upper hooked end 3 6' embraces the upper edge of the said pail. x
J T'hisdevice can bereadilymoved around from placeto placewhile it is being used-by reason of the casters 4 andfS and the mop compressed by, depressing'the member 24, thereby carrying the roller 17' against or adjacent the roller 15 with the mopbetween ftherollers. e I
so It will be observed from the foregoing. that Qthe part 1 is in effect a'support for a frame consisting of the members 10 and 13 to "which a roller '15 is journaled, thus constituting a rigid'support for'the said1roller15, 'From the foregoing description it will alsobe ;understood that the members 22 and the memhere 18'which carry a roller, are" movable,
and that the members -18,have acombined overlapping parts supported in separatedrelation, rollers journaled between the over lapping parts, a foot'depressible member pivotally connected at its forward end with the member, swinging memberspivotally connectedatltheir rearjfends with the said depressible member, said swinging members passing through between the separated portions of the members and resting on the said "roller, said swinging members supporting between thelr upperends a roller, meansfor holding the :said foot depressiblemembers normally in an upward position, whereby the said parts operate as specified.

' Having thus described my invention, what claim and desire.to' ;secure by Letters Patent g f comprising abase adapted to receive a pail,
front' andx rear members having their lower '7 .4ojends' rigidly connected with said base and 4 5 foot member having its forward end pivotally connected'with the said front member, the said front member having'portions on each 7 side of the base, each of. said portions intercombined pailsupport and wringer 1 v mediate its ends having a -bearing support, a
swingingmember having parts located'at op- V posite sides of thebase and supporting at, its upper end a roller, said swinging members vextending downwardly and 'rearwardly' and 3 v pivotally connected with a foot member, a
55 roller'carryingmember being laterally bent upwardly at a point beyond its lower end, a
spring for normally holding the foot member 5 upward, whereby adepression of the foot member causes, the swinging roller member to .to travel: adjacent the" horizontal roller for 1 .65 ends rigidlycennected with-thesaid frame i
