In'combination with a stove or furnace having a burner arranged in the bottom one side thereof spaced superim I baflles terminating short of the side of the stove or furnace remote from said stack to provide a passage for the products of combustion from the ower to the upper compartment, saidb having almed openings located directly beneath the lower end of the stack for the passage of products of combustion therethrough, and independently controlled dampers for theopenings of the 2. In combination with a stoveof furnace having a burner arranged in the bottom thereof and an outlet stack' depending within the stove or furnace from the top and along one side thereof, a downwardly concaved bafie located above the burner and dividing the combustion chamber of the stove or furnaaacap said baflle terminating short of the side of the stove or furnace remote from the stack to pro vide a passage for the products of combustion from the lower to the upper compartment, said'baflle having an outlet 0 ning in alinement with said stack, and a dfmper controlling said opening.
3. In combination with a stove or furnace having a burner arran d in the bottom I thereof and an outlet stac depending within the stove or furnace from the top and alon one side thereof, an upwardly concave baflielocated within the stove or furnace above the burner and dividing the combustion chamber of the stove or furnace into upper and lower compartments, said bafile being slightly spaced from the side of the stove or furnace remote from the stack to rovide a passage for the products of com ustion from the lower to the u per compart ment, said bafile having an outl cated in alinement with said stack, and a damper controlling said opening.

In combination with a stove 'or furnace having a burner arranged in the bottom thereof and an outlet stack depending within the stove or furnace from the to and alon one A side thereof, a downward y concave bafile arranged above the burner, an upwardly concaved bafile arranged in spaced superim sed relation with the first-mentioned bafie, both of said bafiles terminating short of the side of the stove remote from the stack to provide a passage for the products of combustion from the lowermost to the uppermost compartment and also to the intervening space between said bafiles, each bafiie having an outlet opening, and a dam r for controlling the opening of each be 5.
