The invention is a garment having a front section and a rear section in which both sections are exactly alike and which is made so that it may readily be reversed, with either section for the front or rear.

The object of the invention is to construct another garment-,similar to a pair of overalls so that it may be readily reversed in order to distribute the wear to both the front and back, to prolong the lifeof the garment.

Another object of the invention is to provide a garment which is particularly adaptable to be worn over the clothes such as a pair of overalls, which is so constructed that it may be readily reversed with either side for the front.

A further object of the invention is to provide a reversible garment in which it is only necessary to change the supporting straps reverse it. 1

And a still further object of the invention is to provide a reversible garment which is of a simple and economical design.

With these ends in view the invention embodies a pair of overalls in which both the front and rear are exactly alike and in which extra buttons are provided at both the front and rear, to which the supporting straps may be attached.

Other features and advantages of the invention will appear from the following description, taken in connection with the drawings, wherein:

Figure 1 is a view looking toward one side of the garment which, in the designs shown, may be termed thefront.

Figure 2 is a View looking toward the rear of the garment, shown in Figure 1, which shows that both sides of the garment are identical.

Figure 3 is a side view of a part of the garment showing the openings at the side.

In the drawings the device is shown as it would be made, wherein numeral 1 indicates what may be termed as the front section, numeral 2 the rear section, and numeral 3 the supporting straps.

It will be observed that the sections 1 and 2 are made identical, with a bib or upper portion lhaving a pocket 5 attached thereto and lower portions 6 and 7 forming the front or backs of the legs. Each of the sections 1 and 2 are provided with pockets 8 which, in the arrangement shown in Figure 1, will be in the front of the garment, and, in the arrangement shown in Figure 2, will be in the rear thereof- The sides of the legs are provided with straps 9 which are made on both sides so that one will be in the correct position for holding a hammer, with either of the sections 1 or 2 toward the front. Below the strap are rule pockets 10 which are also formed on both sides, so that one will always be in the correct position. A crotch opening 11 is also provided in both of the sections 1 and 2 so that one of the openings will be a the front with either arrangement.

At the upper corners of the bid, or upper portion 4, are buttons 12to which the upper ends of the suspenders, or supporting straps, may be attached through the clasps 13; and on the waist line are buttons 14 to which the lower ends of the supporters 3 may be attached, as shown. It will be observed that with the section 1 used as the front, as shown in Figure 1, that buttons 14 will not come into use, however, when this section is used as the rear, the bib or flap will be folded downward, as indicated by the dotted lines 15 in Figure 2, and the lower ends of the supporters may be attached to these buttons. It will also be observed that in each of the sections a button 16 is provided on the waist line at one side and at the opposite side is a button hole 17, so that one side ma be but toned over the other. The sides 0 the legs are open from the waist line to point 18 shown in Figure 3 to provide suflicient opening at the waist, and these openings are closed by the button 16 and button hole 17.

Snaps 19 may be provided on the inside and at the upper corners of the bib 4 of each of the sections 1 and 2, and on the inner surface of the leg sections complementary members of snaps may be placed, as indicated by the numeral 20, to hold the bib 4. in the downward position, as indicated by the dotted lines 15 and shown in Figure 2, when the bib is at the rear. An opening 21 may also be provided in the upper edge of the bibs of each of the sections 1 and 2 through which a watch chain may be placed. It will be understood that other changes may be made in the construction without departin from the spirit of the invention. One 0 which changes may be in the design of either of the pockets, another may be in the arrangement of the openings, and still another may be in the arrangement of the pockets or straps or the supporting members.

The construction will be readily understood from the foregoing description. In

use the overalls maybe worn in the usual manner, and if they arereversed each time they are put on, it will be observed. that both sides will wear simultaneousl and the front will not wear out before t e back. This, therefore, provides a very simple and efficient garment which may readily be reversed with either side toward the front, and which will, therefore, prolong the life of the garment.

- Havin thus fully described the invention what I c aim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is:

Ina garment of the class described, a waist portion, leg members extending downward from the waist portion,flaps at both the front and rear extending upward from the said waist portion, fastening devices at the upper ends of the said flaps, other fastening devices at both the front and rear of the waist portion, said latter fastening devices being comparatively close to ether and adaptable to hold the back ends 0 a pair of suspenders, a suitable pair of suspenders adaptable to be attached to the fastening devices at the waist line as a rear connection, and at their opposite ends to the fastening devices at the upper ends of the flaps for the front connection, sanitary openings in the lower part of the waist portion and in both the front and rear thereof, side pockets p'ositioned at both the front and rear of the said waist I portion, other holding devices positioned at both sides of the said waist por-' tion, and suitable fastening devices on the inside of the said garment positioned at both the front and rear and adaptableto receive the fastening devices at the ends of the said flaps when the flaps are folded inward.
