My invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings wherein g Figure 1 is aperspective view of a portion of a post with my device applied thereto;
Fig. 2 is a top planview of the supporting hook or hanger; V
Fig. 3 is a front elevation thereof. Referring to these drawings it. will .be seen that this article comprises a somewhat arcuate e plate 10 having teeth 11 at itslower edge, these teeth being bent inward and downward. The upper edge of the plate 1 is formed to provide a plurality of radially directed arms or hooks 12 radiating outward "from the plate said plate being curved to approximately fit upon a post or like object. The plate is also of the plate, these hooksbeing preferably, though not necessarily, formed as partot the plate. To one of these hooks there is attached. a flexible connection 1% which may be a cord, strap, chain', or like member but which is preferably a relatively long cord.
This cord is adapted to be wrappedaround the post A upon which the article is supported and. then engaged with one of the hooks.
In the use of this device, the plate is applied against the face of the upright and the cord 14 wrapped around the post one or more times, and its free end engaged with one of the hooks or lugs. The teeth 11. will as engage with the upright or post and any weight upon the arms or hooks 11 will. act to force these teeth morcand more into the face of the post or upri ht and thus hold the device very securely and preventit from slipping 50,-.
