Definitions
- the wiring of the switch may be traced as follows
- the positive lead enters the top of socket and is trained through porcelain block 22 which is supported on brackets 23 and is then fastened to binding post 2ft. From thence two wires lead, one to the high resistance coils 14 and the other to the contact 10 above the lamp 9.
- the negative lead likewiseenters through top of socket and is trained through block 22 and then runs to binding post 18 supplying the current to the contact 16.
- Another wire connects the contactor extremity at binding post 25 to the socket base at binding post 26.
- an electrical resistance heat actuated contactor comprising many turns of high resistance wire.
- a body for said contactor composed of a flexible metallic material having a tension spring to aid this flexibility, an adjustable screw provided at one extremity thereof, said contactor co-acting with a chain operated hinged contact ele ment being provided with an extra spring controlled hinge to give it a snap action.
- an electrical resistance heat actuated contactor including a metallic body and a resistance wire carried thereby, and an adjustable member passed through one end of the body and forming a contact, the adjustable member being adapted to coact with amanually operable spring tensioned break-jointed hinged contact provided with tensioning means to eflect a snap action.

AEFDER' 10 prii 7'1, 1 REG 11 on of the tension spring 19 to retract the contact 16 to the inoperative position ready to be set again by pulling ball chain 20.
The wiring of the switch may be traced as follows The positive lead enters the top of socket and is trained through porcelain block 22 which is supported on brackets 23 and is then fastened to binding post 2ft. From thence two wires lead, one to the high resistance coils 14 and the other to the contact 10 above the lamp 9.
The negative lead likewiseenters through top of socket and is trained through block 22 and then runs to binding post 18 supplying the current to the contact 16. Another wire connects the contactor extremity at binding post 25 to the socket base at binding post 26.
What I claim as new 1. In a time switch, an electrical resistance heat actuated contactor comprising many turns of high resistance wire. a body for said contactor composed of a flexible metallic material having a tension spring to aid this flexibility, an adjustable screw provided at one extremity thereof, said contactor co-acting with a chain operated hinged contact ele ment being provided with an extra spring controlled hinge to give it a snap action.
2. In a time switch of the character described, an electrical resistance heat actuated contactor including a metallic body and a resistance wire carried thereby, and an adjustable member passed through one end of the body and forming a contact, the adjustable member being adapted to coact with amanually operable spring tensioned break-jointed hinged contact provided with tensioning means to eflect a snap action.
3. In a time switch of the character described, the combination with a heat actuated electrical contactor having an adjustable ter minal, of a manually operable spring tensioned break-jointed hinged contact adapted to coact with the first named contactor, and provided with tensioning means to effect a quick snap action.
4. The combination of a pair of contactors coacting with each other, of a time switch, one contactor being thermostatically controlled and having an adjustable terminal contact, and the other contactor having a spring tensioned break-jointed arm and be ing hinged and manually controlled for actuation in one direction, and spring controlled for snap action in the opposite direction.
In testimony whereof I hereunto afiix my signature.
